The Calabash Cave of Tangshan is located a little lower than the groundwater level in early Pleistocene. It was formed under the complex corrosion effects of water. In mid -Pleistocene, it was lifted above the groundwater level and exposed. In the cave there deposited rich sedimentation from nearby sources, in which two sets of skull fossil have been found. That has become some unique part of the cave tourism culture. Since the development of the cave culture and cave tourism is inadequate, we suggest that further investigation and study on the resources for cave tourism be made; the contents of cave culture and cave tourism be enriched; the scenic spots of Calabash Cave, Yangshan Monument Material and Tangshan Hot Spring be integrated.
