摘要
自西方音乐被介绍到中国之后,关于中、西音乐的优劣比较、如何处理中西音乐之关系等问题一直在中国音乐界争论不休。有人主张“全盘西化”,有人力争“中西结合”,也有人甚至提出“向西方乞灵”的主张。笔者从侧面列举一些19、20世纪西方音乐界利用东方文化元素进行创作的作曲家及其作品,以此探讨东方文化在西方音乐的发展过程中产生的一些重要影响。
There has been a keen debate about the advantages and disadvantages of eastern and western music as well as the relationship between them since the introduction of western music into China. Some advocate overall westernization, others favor the fuse of the two kinds of arts, and still others suggest the attainment of inspiration from western music. The author discusses and analyzes the important influence during the development of western music through the creative work of western composers who made full use of Oriental cultural factors in the 19th and 20th centuries.
