摘要
在中国56个民族中,汉族地名的翻译相对比较简单,少数民族地名的英语翻译则显得不太规范和统一。少数民族地名英译的标准化对于让世界更加了解中国有着不可忽视的作用。本文旨在从少数民族地名的英译标准、法律依据及基本原则等方面来探析规范的少数民族地名翻译。
Among the 56 nationalities in China, translating names of place in Han language is comparatively easy. However, there’s no certain standards in the translation of place names of the minority nationalities. The standardization of the place names’ translation of minority nationalities is indispensable for the worldwide acknowledge of Chinese culture. The paper is to study translation standard of place names in terms of legal evidence and basic principle, etc.
