A Study on Airbag Inflation and Passenger Safety Based on Finite Element Method

摘要 本文从乘员安全性角度出发,在LS-DYNA软件的基础上,介绍了安全气囊展开模拟的两种数学模型:均匀压力模型和计算流体模型。介绍了利用VPG软件折叠安全气囊的方法,对不同数学模型的展开结果进行了比较。此外,本文还研究了有无安全气囊对乘员安全性的影响。 Automobile airbag plays an important role in passenger safety protection.In order to understand the detailed deployment process of a typical airbag during a car accident,two different mathematical models,the Control Volume model and the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model,were built based on the commercial FEA software ANSYS/LS-DYNA.For both methods,the deployment process was simulated and internal pressure distribution and dynamic airbag behaviors were reported.In addition,the airbag folding/unfolding simulation based on VPG was also given and compared with different mathematical simulation results.At the end of this paper,the authors studied and evaluated the passenger safety status with or without the airbag.
