Objective: to select the patients with spleen and stomach weakness (cold) syndrome based on syndrome differentiation with chronic gastritis as the first choice, and to explore the effect of modified Lizhong decoction. Methods: taking January 2019 as the starting time of admission and December 2021 as the ending time of admission, 94 patients with chronic gastritis admitted to the hospital at this stage were selected based on the results of TCM syndrome differentiation and the patients voluntarily cooperating with this study. All patients participated in the drawing of lots and were divided into groups according to the results of the drawing of lots. There were 47 cases in odd number and 47 cases in even number. The former was treated by oral administration of western medicine, while the latter was treated by addition and subtraction of Lizhong decoction. The former was the control group and the latter was the observation group. All patients were treated for 4 weeks, and symptom score evaluation, inflammation index detection, clinical efficacy evaluation and adverse reactions summary were completed before and after 4 weeks of medication. Results: the groups participating in the comparison are the observation group and the control group. when comparing the clinical curative effect, the total effective rate of drug use is calculated, and the former is larger than the latter (P < 0.05). When comparing the symptom scores, the average value was calculated. when comparing the two time periods, the ratio before medication showed (P > 0.05) and the ratio after 4 weeks of medication showed that the former was lower (P < 0.05). When comparing the inflammation indexes, the average value is calculated. Compared in four time periods, the ratio before medication shows (P > 0.05), and the ratio after medication shows that the former is superior in three time periods (P < 0.05). When the adverse reactions were compared, the occurrence rate was calculated, and the ratio between the two groups showed (P > 0.05). Conclusion: after the diagnosis of chronic gastritis, TCM syndrome differentiation is carried out in the early stage. If the syndrome differentiation results show spleen and stomach weakness (cold) syndrome, Lizhong decoction is given for treatment. The clinical curative effect, symptom score and inflammation index are better and the application value is significant.
