摘要
为探究中外合作办学双学位项目学生的跨文化学业适应问题,研究基于沃德等人提出的跨文化适应模型,从学术文化视角出发,建构研究的分析框架。采取个案研究方法,对10名赴新西兰W大学攻读商科的学生,实施在线访谈,并使用扎根理论的三级编码技术,对访谈文本进行编码和分析。研究发现:双学位项目学生在新求学期间,在教学形式和教学方法等方面,明显地感知到学业适应压力与挑战,而个体积极的应对策略有助缓解压力和取得学业进步。这些挑战源自中新两校在课堂教学的基本观念以及师生互动的权力关系等方面的“碰撞”,研究建议中方高校在课程建设层面作出适度的调适与创新。
To investigate the cross-cultural academic acculturation of the students in Sino-foreign collaborative double-degree program,from the perspective of academic culture,the study constructs an analytical framework from the cultural dimension with reference to the Cross-cultural Transition Process Model proposed by Ward and his colleagues.A case study has been employed to conduct virtual interviews with ten Chinese international students enrolled in a Business program at W University in New Zealand.The interviews texts are carried online,and coded and analyzed by Grounded Theory techniques.The study founds that academic acculturation stresses and challenges are perceived and highlighted by the majority of the interviewees in terms of teaching patterns and teaching methods during study abroad,while individual positive coping strategies may help overcome barriers and achieve academic progress.These challenges probably stem from the“bilateral conflicts”in the basic concepts of teaching and learning,and power relations in classroom interactions.The study suggests that appropriate transformations and innovations for courses establishment at China’s partner universities are hoped to be further improved.
