摘要
一直以来,国内外评论界倾向于运用生态批评理论或后殖民生态批评理论观照库切布克奖小说《耻》中的动物伦理观以及生态思想。然而,我们若走出欧美文化批评的既定阐释框架,会发现库切与儒家思想有着高度的契合。文章尝试从道德、政治和同情这三个伦理、政治元素入手,借助儒家思想考察《耻》中的生态伦理观,认为《耻》不仅聚焦道德、政治与生态之联系,揭示其是产生生态问题的精神性根源和体制性根源,同时注重同情的伦理影响,主张人类关爱一切生命,以同情之心实现人与万物的“有情共生”。小说对将世间万物纳入道德共同体的呼吁,对良好社会环境和政治环境的诉求,对进行跨物种之共情想象的倡导,为人与动物、人与自然生态的和谐共处构建了独特的伦理方案,在全球生态问题日益严峻、人类对生态伦理的需求越发迫切的情况下尤显珍贵。从儒家思想观照《耻》,库切文本超越国族和文化阈限的普适性生态意义得以呈现,而儒家思想的当代价值亦得以彰显。
Ecocriticism and postcolonial ecocriticism have always been applied to interpret animal ethics and ecological views in J.M.Coetzee's Booker Prize fiction Disgrace.High correspondence between J.M.Coetzee'idea and Confucianism on ecology can also be found.The paper attempts to explore the ecological ethics in Disgrace from Confucianism on morality,politics and sympathy.It is found that Disgrace focuses on morality,politics,ecology and their relationship,values the ethical influence of sympathy,and advocates that human beings care for all the living creatures.The novel calls for a moral community for the whole world to realize harmonious coexistence of man and animals,man and nature.From the perspective of Confucianism,the universal ecological significance of Disgrace beyond national and cultural thresholds can be presented,and the contemporary value of Confucianism can also be highlighted.
