摘要
本文通过对器物形态和有关金文文例的分析,指出姚季鼎、壶的“姚”应即文献记载的周代子姓姚国,其地望在今山东菏泽一带。金文中常见的作为姓氏的“姚”当系文献记载的虞舜的后裔,与姚国之姚无涉。姚季鼎、壶系姚国铜器的首次发现,揭开了湮没已久的周代姚国的神秘面纱,为重新认识文献的有关记载提供了可靠的依据。
Based on the analysis of the shape of bronzes and the examples of inscriptions on bronzes,this paper points out that the"Yao"of Yaoji ding and hu should be the state of Yao with the surname of Zi of Zhou Dynasty recorded in the documents,which is located at the present Heze area of Shandong Province.Yao,a common surname in bronze inscriptions,is the descendant of Yushun recorded in literature,which has nothing to do with Yao of Yao state.Yaoji ding and Hu are the first discovery of Yao’s bronze wares,which unveils the mystery of Yao in Zhou Dynasty and provides a reliable basis for re understanding the relevant records of literature.
