“Shanghai Characteristic”Expression in Revolutionary Narration——An Interview with Director Zheng Dasheng

摘要 《1921》是一部筹谋五年之久的匠心之作,献礼中国共产党的百年诞辰。影片创作起源于对历史的回顾与追问,且区别于过往同类题材作品,从党的创建这一事件本身及其发生年份、发生城市切入"破题",尝试通过影像,精细复原百年前上海"三界四方"的城市样态,挖掘社会生活中独具风情的"上海性",在"主旋律"的规范化表达之下,倾力呈现出时代的完整剖面,也勾画出党的伟大创建者们在百年前风华正茂、敢想敢为之姿。关于此次联合导演,郑大圣坦言对黄建新导演的敬仰,认为他是一位在成熟的工业化制片模式之下,依然能为影像保有浪漫恣肆的抒情性与人文气的成功电影人。 1921,a masterpiece planned and prepared for five years,is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China(hereinafter referred to as CPC).The idea of the film originated from a review and interrogation of history.What is distinct from other similar films is the film’s attempt to tell the story in three different aspects,including the founding of the CPC,the times,and the place where it occurred.In so doing,1921 attempts to accurately represent the urban setting of Shanghai—“three administrative units and four Jurisdictional zones”100 years ago.Moreover,this film tries to present a unique“Shanghai Characteristic”of social life,portray the details of this historical age,and highlight the valiant and heroic bearings of the Party’s founders.When discussing the film’s co-director,Zheng Dasheng frankly expresses his admiration for Huang Jianxin,confirming that he has been a successful filmmaker.In his opinion,Huang Jianxin is a director who still can maintain his romanticism,lyricism,and humanism in his film products despite the prevalence of the industrialized and commercialized mode of film production at present.
