摘要
电影学界公推明斯特伯格为电影理论的起点,但我们对他却始终不甚了解。明斯特伯格在《电影:一次心理学研究》的前言部分对电影的史前史进行了详细的、物质性媒介考古,从十九世纪末“知识型”转变的大背景和早期心理学家的学术旨趣来看,明斯特伯格的著作明显呈现出“由外向内”“由心理学向美学”的二元结构和“美学为体”“科学为用”的研究思路。我们要把明斯特伯格和电影理论研究嵌入到心理学、美学等学术史中,才能准确评估其理论价值,获得连续性的电影理论考察轨迹。
The film academic circle has publicly hailed Münsterberg as the initiator of film theory,but we still don’t know much about him.In the foreword of The Photoplay:A Psychological Study,Münsterberg conducted a detailed and material media archaeology on the prehistory of film.In the context of the transformation of"epistemes"at the end of the nineteenth century and the academic interests of early psychologists,Münsterberg’s monograph obviously showed the dual-opposition structure of"from outer to inner"and"from psychology to aesthetics,"and the research ideas of"aesthetics as the noumenon"and"science as the use".We should embed the research of Münsterberg and film theory into the academic history of psychology and aesthetics so as to accurately evaluate its theoretical value and search a continuous track of film theory.
