Influence of hydraulic fracture propagation on activity of natural faults

摘要 为揭示水力压裂对天然断层活动性的影响,根据实际工程地质资料建立应力-渗流耦合数值模型,模拟水力压裂诱发断层活动.分析水力裂缝与天然断层的相互作用,研究压裂过程中断层滑移、孔隙压力分布以及震级的演化规律.研究结果表明:水力裂缝可能扩展至上覆断层,裂缝尖端的张应力将导致断层与裂缝交叉附近出现接触应力和剪切应力集中,导致断层失稳.而在裂缝尖端与断层连通后,压裂液渗流至断层破碎带,断层面的孔隙压力显著增大.水力裂缝尖端穿过砾岩层与断层面连通时矩震级达到最大.研究结论为水力压裂施工诱发微震提供理论支撑. To reveal the influence of hydraulic fracturing on the activity of natural faults,a stress-seepage coupling numerical model was established based on actual engineering geological data to simulate the hydraulic fracturing induced fault activity.Based on the analysis of the interaction between hydraulic fracture and natural fault,the slippage,pore pressure distribution and evolution law of earthquake magnitude in fracturing process are studied.The results show that the hydraulic fracture may extend to the overlying natural fault.The tensile stress at the tip of the fracture will cause contact stress and shear stress concentration near the intersection of the fault and the fracture,resulting in fault instability.After the fracture tip is connected with the fault,the fracturing fluid seeps into the fault fracture zone,and the pore pressure of the fault layer increases remarkably.The overlying natural fault can effectively block the evolution of fracture height.The moment magnitude of the micro-seismic induced by hydraulic fracturing reaches the maximum when the fracture tip connects the fault plane.The research conclusions provide theoretical support for microseisms induced by hydraulic fracturing construction.
