摘要
清范寅所著《越諺》中有"挑一擔■,■一頭會"之諺。本文通過考察"■"的音義,認爲"■"音"掘",義爲"用棍棒刀錐等挑開或挑起",該義源於"舉起;翹起"義。"挑一擔■,■一頭會"意謂"不會挑一擔,却會用扁擔或釺擔等挑起擔子一頭的東西",借此表達"人愚笨、不知變通"。
There is a proverb in Yue Yan(《越諺》)written by Fan Yin(范寅),that is"挑一擔,一頭會".By examining the pronunciation and meaning of"jue■",this paper thinks that jue■’s pronunciation is the same as掘,and its meaning is"to pick up or provoke with tools such as sticks and cones."The meaning comes from"lifting;lifting up".This proverb means that“you can’t pick a burden,but you can pick up one side of the burden".This proverb is used to describe people who are stupid,don’t know how to work.
