摘要
数字经济时代下,新型基础设施建设已经成为促进企业创新、推动经济高质量发展的“新引擎”。本文基于2011-2020年沪深A股上市公司和地级市面板匹配数据,运用渐进双重差分模型实证检验信息基础设施建设对企业创新数量及质量的影响。研究发现:(1)信息基础设施建设能够显著提升企业创新数量及质量,且对数量的影响大于质量。(2)机制检验表明:缓解企业融资约束、加速企业人力资本积累,是信息基础设施建设提升企业创新数量及质量的重要路径。(3)异质性分析表明:相对于信息通信技术使用强度低的企业,信息基础设施建设对信息通信技术使用强度中高水平的企业创新数量及质量作用更显著。
In the era of digital economy,new infrastructure construction has become a"new engine"to promote enterprise innovation and high-quality development.Based on panel-matched data of China’s listed companies and prefecture-level cities in China from 2011-2020,this paper employs a staggered difference-in-differences model to explores the impact of broadband infrastructure construction on the quantity and quality of enterprise innovation.The results show that the broadband infrastructure construction significantly improve both quantity and quality of enterprise innovation,and this impact is mainly concentrated on quantity.Robustness tests have been performed,and the conclusion is still valid.The mechanistic analysis shows that the broadband infrastructure construction contributes to alleviating enterprises’financing constraints and accelerating enterprises’human capital accumulation.The innovation effect is more evident among enterprises with high information and communication technology usage intensity.
