摘要
2008年,湖北省文物考古研究所等单位对襄阳邓城遗址东南侧的周家岗遗址部分区域进行了抢救性发掘,清理灰坑6座、灰沟1条、房址1座、水井1口,出土了大量陶质生活用器。遗存分为三期,西周中期、西周晚期及春秋早期,属周代南土邓国文化遗存,为研究古邓国提供了新线索。
In 2008,archaeologists from the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and other units carried out rescue excavation at the Zhoujiagang site,which is located to the southeast of the Dengcheng ruins in Xiangyang City.They cleaned up six ash pits,one ash ditch,one house structure,and one water well,along with many utilitarian pots.The remains are dated to three periods,namely the Middle Western Zhou,Late Western Zhou,or Early Spring and Autumn period.It is believed that the remains all belong to the Deng state,a vassal state of the Zhou Dynasty in south China,thus offering new materials for the study of ancient Deng state.
