摘要
在国内构建双循环新发展格局的背景下,如何有效参与国际大循环实现高质量发展是家族企业的重要战略抉择。本文基于社会情感财富理论和管家理论,以2004—2018年中国中小板及创业板上市家族企业为研究样本,探讨了家族涉入程度对企业国际化的影响。研究发现,家族在所有权层、管理层的涉入程度与企业国际化呈显著正相关关系,家族成员的海外背景在其中发挥中介机制作用。进一步分析发现,企业所在地的制度环境越好、行业竞争度越大及企业自身研发投入越高都会强化这一正相关关系;而当家族处于业绩困境时,则会削弱这一正相关关系。本研究丰富了关于家族企业及其国际化的研究成果,对于新发展格局下家族企业的战略选择具有重要的启示意义。
Under the background of the new development pattern of domestic and international double circulation,how to effectively participate in the international circulation to achieve high-quality development is an important strategic choice for family business.Based on stewardship and socioemotional wealth(SEW)theories,and using the Chinese-listed family firms during the period of 2004—2018 as a sample,this paper addresses the impact of family involvement on internationalization.We find family involvement in ownership and management to be positively associated with the scale and scope of internationalization,with the foreign experience of family members mediating this relationship.Moreover,we find a better institutional environment,greater industry competition,or higher investment in research and development to positively moderate the relationship between family involvement and internationalization,while performance hazard negatively moderates this positive relationship.
