摘要
在前人工作成果的基础上,经多次野外考察和室内综合研究,认为参加“活断层比较研究”的阿尔金断裂,对高原与盆地的地貌、构造、地震等均有明显控制作用。单个断层破碎带宽约1.5公里,受几个新活动破裂面切错,常形成数个断错台阶。这里古地震遗迹丰富,断错山脊、水系明显。第三纪末期,断层性质由逆冲转化为走滑为主,对古亚洲的形成和高原的整体隆升起了至为重要的作用。
On the basis of the previous studies,many field investigations and comprehensive researches,we have concluded that,the Aerjin fault has been controlling the structure,landforms and earthquake occurrence of plateau and basin.In general,the shatter zone of single fault is about 1.5 km wide,and was offsetted by several active fault planes,and often formed fault benches.There are rich palaeoseismic vestiges;offsetted ridges and river systems are apparent.At the end of Tertiary period,the fault changed from thrust to strike slip,and played the very important rule,in the formation of the old Asia Con tinent and the uplift of the whole plateau of Qing hai-Xizhang.
