摘要
中国古典小说与西方小说在哲学基础与艺术表现上均存在深刻差异,但在复杂的时代文化背景下,中国古典小说文体被西方小说同化并取代。本文以回目这个中国古典小说特有的标目方式为基点,将其与西方小说的标目方式进行着眼于文体意义的比较研究,认为中西方小说标目最大的区别便是与各自文学系统中诗歌关系的不同,并从语体(语法、雅俗、句式)与体式(篇有定句、句有定字、对仗)两方面进一步考察它们在语法形态及叙事意义方面的差别,不但梳理了回目与标目相异的表现形态与本质规定,也由此彰显中西方两种叙事文体之间易被忽略的不同。
European novels in the eighteenth century have a huge stylistic difference in philosophy and art from classical Chinese xiaoshuo(novels)in the same period,and yet,due to complex cultural interaction,classical Chinese xiaoshuo style is completely assimilated into,thus displaced by,European novels.This paper takes as its starting point huimu(heading of a chapter,which is unique to the style of classical Chinese xiaoshuo),to make a contrastive research that focuses on stylistic connotation in headings.Differences in their grammatical forms and narrative meanings are also studied from the perspective of semantics and register,so as to make clear the often-neglected differences in form and essence between huimu and headings.
