摘要
20世纪末以来,全球史或跨国史的兴盛已经深刻改变了美国学界历史研究的各个领域,女性/性别史也不例外。美国女性史、社会性别史和性存在史的研究者,不断打破民族国家的框架和地理区域的限制,从全球或跨国视角分析研究女性和男性、社会与生理性别以及性的历史,并把美国的女性和性别置于全球或跨国背景下考察。甚至此前不关注性别的全球史与跨国史学者也开始意识到,女性和性别在区域比较、跨国联系和全球化进程中的重要作用。本文简要回顾了近30年来推动美国女性史、性别史和性存在史打破民族国家框架的重要力量、学术趋势以及内部分歧,并重点分析代表性的重要论著、议题和争论,由此探讨这种全球及跨国转向给美国女性与性别史带来的机遇与挑战。
Since the late 1990 s,the wide acceptance of world history,global history and transnational history has deeply transformed every filed in the discipline of history in the United States,and one of them is women’s history.The practitioner of the history of women,gender and sexuality in the United States gradually moved beyond the frame of national histories and geographical boundaries.Their researches focused on the histories of women and men,sex and gender and sexuality from global or transnational perspective and also placed U.S women and gender in the global or transnational context.Even the historians of world history,global history and transnational history who didn’t pay attention to women and gender became aware of the important role of women and gender in regional comparison,transnational connectedness and globalization.This article briefly reviewed the key forces,academic trends and internal debates,which lead to global/transnational turn in the history of women,gender and sexuality for recent three decades in the United States.The typical researches,key issues and debates were mainly discussed and the opportunities and challenges of global/transnational turn that women’s and gender history faced were also addressed.
