多丽丝·莱辛一直以女性视角表达对社会、人生和人性的关注与思考,《幸存者回忆录》是一部自传性小说,作者以个人经历为底色,对女性在家庭中的童年经历、社会中的个人成长以及感情经历中的精神成长进行了集中表达和反思,通过人物设置、空间布局、将现实设置于未来等艺术手法,跨越时空,对女性命运进行了具有纵深感的探索,通过描写女性在极端困窘的境况下谋取生存所必备的品质,表达了作者的女性观——美好的女性是有能力、负责任的独立女性,在亲子和两性关系中,经历痛苦,依然保有强大的爱的能量。
Doris Lessing had written many books to focus on common humanity from a feminist perspective,The Memoirs of Survivor is a special novel which is an autobiographical novel,Lessing created two characters-Emily and I-as teenager and adult,who were different stage of life and together showed experiences of herself.As Emily’s guardian,"I"witness Emily’s efforts and achievements,she has become a responsible and independent mature woman after joining community and love.As a narrator,"I"can go into other space-world behind wall and view Emily’s miserable childhood.Then"I"understand the childhood also belongs to Emily’s mother.Lessing’s grandmother and mother both were christened Emily,based on Lessing’s intention of this novel,it can be understood that Emily has a profound significance and she is every woman.
