1980年8月26日,国家在深圳设置经济特区。四十年光阴荏苒。深圳,这个地处广东南海边陲、在原宝安县基础上设立的特区,成长为世界瞩目的制造和创新之城。四十年前,深圳这个籍籍无名的边陲小城,同一河之隔的香港天差地别。而今,深圳已经成为世界侧目的国际都会,2018年度GDP超越香港。但长久以来,世人眼中的深圳只是一座超级经济城市,而并非文化绿洲,也少有历史文化积淀。
Baoqieyin Pagoda(Ashoka Pagoda)is a crucial subject in the study of religious history.Starting from Ashoka built 84,000 towers to Qian Hongchu(King of Wuyue)built 84,000 towers,this Buddhist story from the original scripture became the presentation of a particular entity in the propagation of East Asian Buddhism.Which also makes the research stayed further in the scope of Southeast China and the spread of relics among other places.In the latest investigation of the"Longjin Stone Pagoda"held in the cultural relics’protection site in Baoan district,Shenzhen city,Guangdong province,it can be confirmed that it was built in the Gengchen Year of Jiading period in the Southern Song Dynasty(1220).Yet,it was not a"square stone tower"rather than a combination of handprints and mantras in the"Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with a Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes".This is currently the only one with an explicit date and the most standard type of Baoqieyin Pagoda(Ashoka pagoda)found on the southern edge of the land bank in China.Moreover,it is not a common four-linked"Bensheng Story",rather than a combination of many Esoteric Buddhism elements.This new discovery has an extremely important weight on the study of the propagation route of Baoqieyin Pagoda(Ashoka Pagoda),the relationship between Buddhism in Southeast Asia and South Asia,and the integration of Esoteric Buddhism.
