In the immune system,B cells usually play a positive role in the immune response, playing a huge role in the regulation of humoral immunity, and can also play an important role in the regulation of cellular immunity by secreting antibodies.A special subset of B cells, namely, regulatory B cells(Bregs),can play a major negative role in the immune response by secreting some bioactive substances, and is considered to be a new important component of the immune system of mice and humans.Bregs can regulate the development of a variety of diseases, including inflammation, infection, autoimmune diseases and tumors.Bregs are protective cells that play an important role in immune dysfunction. This paper reviews the discovery, classification and function of Bregs and its research progress in tumor.
