摘要
杨庆堃(1911—1999)分析中国宗教与儒家传统伦理价值关系,认为宗教在一定程度上起到了维持道德价值的作用[1]。就唐代禅的传播而言,禅法本身不为社会生活提供精神支持,那么,禅与人伦价值之间的关系如何,禅法何以能够在两京地区流行?由于家庭生活中禅修的细节难以了解,观察禅的代际传承或传播,是解决这些问题的一个合适的视角。本篇调查禅法在家庭内部的传播情况,讨论禅法与维持人伦的精神因素的关系、禅的代际传播中民众与僧团关系的演变等问题,期望有助于禅与唐代社会生活关系的讨论。
In the second half of the seventh century,monks of the Dongshan School of Chan Buddhism began to reside in the capital area.With people’s practice of meditation and seeking advice from masters,the Chan Buddhism gradually spread into all circles of society.As it became more popular,Chan Buddhism spread among the parents and their children,as well as mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law.In the prosperous Tang Dynasty,a few Chan masters had a wide influence,and many people eagerly sought the teachings,but not all could truly understand them.After the An-Shi Rebellion,people chose different masters to follow,showing a diversification in the spread of Buddhism.The dissemination of Chan is closely related to social order,and the inter-generational transmission of Buddhism indicates continuous societal support for the monastic community.
