热处理态TiC/Ti复合材料组织特征、力学性能和断裂行为 被引量:2

Microstructure, Mechanical Properties and Fracture Behavior of Heat-treated TiC/Ti Composite

摘要 采用熔铸法制备了TiC体积分数为10%的Ti-6Al-3Sn-3.5Zr-0.4Mo-0.75Nb-0.35Si复合材料,将其在β+TiC相区进行热处理,研究热处理后其组织特征、力学性能以及断裂行为。结果发现,热处理后TiC相发生粒化且变得圆滑,基体演变成具有网篮特征的细小片层组织。热处理态复合材料的室温抗拉强度和伸长率分别为1056.2 MPa和1.89%,随着温度升高,复合材料的抗拉强度呈线性降低趋势。温度每提高100℃,抗拉强度约降低170 MPa,而塑性逐渐提高,且随温度提高的幅度越来越大。700℃以下TiC的开裂或脱粘主导复合材料的断裂过程,此时复合材料发生准解理断裂,即TiC发生解理断裂,而基体发生韧性断裂。800℃以上复合材料发生微孔聚集型断裂,此时TiC与基体发生脱粘。 TiC/Ti-6 Al-3 Sn-3.5 Zr-0.4 Mo-0.75 Nb-0.35 Si composites with 10%TiC volume fraction were prepared by casting,which was heat-treated inβ+TiC phase region.The microstructure,mechanical properties and fracture behavior of the heat-treated composite were investigated.The results reveal that the TiC phase is granulated and round after heat treatment,and the matrix is evolved into a fine lamellar structure with the characteristics of a mesh basket.The room-temperature tensile strength and elongation of the heat-treated composite is reach up to 1056.2 MPa and 1.89%,respectively.With the increase of temperature,the tensile strength shows a nearly linear decrease trend,which is decreased by about 170 MPa for 100℃with increasing in temperature,while elongation is increased gradually,and the magnitude becomes larger.The fracture process of the composite is dominated by cracking or debonding of TiC below 700℃,where the quasi-cleavage fracture occurs,meaning the cleavage fracture of TiC and the ductile fracture of matrix.The microporous aggregated fracture occurs above 800℃,leading to the debonding of TiC particles and matrix.
