The effect of land use change on windbreak and sand fixation in northern Shaanxi

摘要 评估土地利用变化对防风固沙效益的影响对于改善生态环境和促进生态系统可持续性发展至关重要。基于气象、遥感数据,应用RWEQ模型估算陕北地区2000~2015年的固沙物质量,采用ArcGIS中的叠加分析功能研究防风固沙效益对于土地利用变化的响应。结果表明:草地和耕地是陕北地区最主要的土地利用类型,林地面积不断增加,草地质量提升,城镇化发展迅速,荒漠化有所改善;陕北地区风蚀现象多以轻度和中度风蚀为主,2000~2015年中度风蚀面积明显减少,防风固沙保有率普遍增加,其中未利用地转化为林地的防风固沙保有率增长幅度最大。陕北地区虽然还存在草地退化、林地和草地开垦为耕地的现象,但总体来说其生态环境质量有所改善,近些年的土地利用变化对防风固沙功能有一定的积极作用。 Assessing the impact of land use changes on the benefits of wind break and sand fixation is crucial to improve the ecological environment and promote sustainable development of the ecosystem. Based on meteorological and remote sensing data, RWEQ model was applied to estimate the sand-fixing quality in northern Shaanxi from 2000 to 2015, and the overlay analysis function in ArcGIS was used to study the response of windbreak and sand-fixing benefit to land use change. The results show that grassland and cultivated land are the main types of land use in northern Shaanxi. The area of woodland is increasing, the quality of grassland is improving, urbanization is developing rapidly and desertification is improving. Wind erosion in northern Shaanxi is mainly mild and moderate wind erosion. From 2000 to 2015, the area of moderate wind erosion decreased significantly, and the retention rate of windbreak and sand fixation increased generally. Among them, the retention rate of windbreak and sand fixation increased the most when unused land was converted into forestland. Although grassland degradation, forestland and grassland reclamation for arable land still exist in northern Shaanxi, the ecological environmental quality improved. The land use change has positive effect on windbreak and sand-fixation in recent years.
