摘要
文章通过对采集到的北京地区公共领域英语标识语的分析,归纳出英语标识语译写的几种典型问题,其中道路标牌中时用拼音、时用英语造成地名概念的混乱现象最为普遍;其次单位名称、景点告示语误译、错译现象也比较普遍。之后思考分析了英语译写问题的一些原因,并提出了改进英语标识译写的建议。
This paper,through analyzing English versions on the signboards collected in Beijing public places,lists some typical problems concerning Chinese-English translation,of which the most common phenomenon is that both pinyin versions and English versions are used,causing confusion as to the exact name of the given place.In addition,the names of some organizations and guiding signs of some parks are translated either improperly or wrongly.The probable reasons for these problems are explored and the practical suggestions for changing and upgrading the state of English signs are provided.
