Simulation and Experimental Analysis of Mechanical Properties of a Bidirectional Adjustable Magnetorheological Fluid Damper

The aim of this study is to address the issues associated with traditional magnetorheological fluid(MRF)dampers,such as insufficient damping force after power failure and susceptibility to settlement.In order to achieve this,a bidirectional adjustable MRF damper was designed and developed.Magnetic field simulation analysis was conducted on the damper,along with simulation analysis on its dynamic characteristics.The dynamic characteristics were ultimately validated through experimental testing on the material testing machine,thereby corroborating the theoretical simulation results.Concurrently,this process generated valuable test data for subsequent implementation of the semi-active vibration control system.The simulation and test results demonstrate that the integrated permanent magnet effectively accomplishes bidirectional regulation.The magnetic induction intensity of the damping channel is 0.2 T in the absence of current,increases to 0.5 T when a maximum forward current of 4 A is applied,and becomes 0 T when a maximum reverse current of 3.8 A is applied.When the excitation amplitude is 8 mm and the frequency is 2 Hz,with the applied currents varying,the maximum damping force reaches 8 kN,while the minimum damping force measures at 511 N.Additionally,at zero current,the damping force stands at 2 kN,which aligns closely with simulation results.The present paper can serve as a valuable reference for the design and research of semi-active MRF dampers. 展开更多

High-static-low-dynamic stiffness (HSLDS) vibration isolators have been demonstrated to be an effective means of attenuating low-frequency vibrations, and may be utilized for ship shafting applications to mitigate torsional vibration. This paper presents the construction of a highly compact HSLDS torsional vibration isolator by connecting positive and negative stiffness components in paral lel. Based on mechanical model analysis, the restoring torque of negative stiffness components is de rived from their springs and connecting rods, while that of positive stiffness components is obtained through their circular section flexible rods. The quasizero stiffness characteristics of the HSLDS iso lator are achieved through a combination of static structural simulation and experimental test. The tor sional vibration isolation performance is assessed by means of numerical simulation and theory analy sis. Finally, the frequency-sweep vibration test is conducted. The test results indicate that the HSLDS torsional vibration isolator exhibits superior low-frequency isolation performance compared to its linear counterpart, rendering it a promising solution for mitigating low-frequency torsional vi bration in ship shafting. 展开更多

Improving energy utilization efficiency of electrical discharge milling in titanium alloys machining 被引量:3

Electrical discharge milling(ED-milling) can be a good choice for titanium alloys machining and it was proven that its machining efficiency can be improved to compete with mechanical cutting. In order to improve energy utilization efficiency of ED-milling process, unstable arc discharge and stable arc discharge combined with normal discharge were implemented for material removal by adjusting servo control strategy. The influence of electrode rotating speed and dielectric flushing pressure on machining performance was investigated by experiments. It was found that the rotating of electrode could move the position of discharge plasma channel, and high pressure flushing could wash melted debris out the discharge gap effectively. Both electrode rotating motion and high pressure flushing are contributed to the improvement of machining efficiency. 展开更多

With the purpose of on-line structural health monitoring,a transducer network was embedded into compos- ite structure to minimize the influence of surroundings.The intrinsic dispersion characteristic of Lamb wave makes the wavelet transform an effective signal processing method for guided waves.To get high precision in feature extrac- tion,an information entropy-based optimal mother wavelet selection approach was proposed,which was used to choose the most appropriate basis function for particular Lamb wave analysis.By using the embedded sensor network and extracting time-of-flight,delamination in the composite laminate was identified and located.The results demon- strate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. 展开更多

航空发动机叶片经常发生裂纹故障失效,从而引发一系列事故。以往的研究主要集中在裂纹引起的非线性振动上,而裂纹呼吸过程中裂纹表面的接触状态往往被忽略。然而,考虑裂纹表面的接触行为是非常重要的,因为它会导致裂纹叶片的非线性振动... 航空发动机叶片经常发生裂纹故障失效,从而引发一系列事故。以往的研究主要集中在裂纹引起的非线性振动上,而裂纹呼吸过程中裂纹表面的接触状态往往被忽略。然而,考虑裂纹表面的接触行为是非常重要的,因为它会导致裂纹叶片的非线性振动。为了进一步研究裂纹诱发非线性振动的机理,本文提出了一种基于自编非协调六面体单元(SNCHE)的旋转叶片动态接触呼吸裂纹模型,并使用弹簧单元模拟呼吸效应。通过接触有限元模型验证了模型的有效性。此外,还研究了裂纹参数(裂纹深度和裂纹位置)及载荷参数(气动振幅和气动频率)对裂纹叶片动态接触特性的影响。在此基础上,提出了一个呼吸裂纹量化指标(BCQI)来表征呼吸裂纹的非线性水平。结果表明,在裂纹呼吸过程中,裂纹面从叶片侧面向裂纹尖端中心方向闭合。并且BCQI随裂纹深度、气动幅值和转速的增加而增大,随裂纹位置越靠近叶尖而减小。 展开更多
