This paper aims to design a controller to robustly stabilize uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems with time- varying input delay.Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach,the sufficient conditions for robust stabilization of such systems are given in the form of linear matrix inequali- ties.The controller design does not have to require that the time-derivative of time-varying input delay be smaller than one. First, an analytical solution of optimal control laws of parallel SVMs based MPC was derived, and then the necessary and sufficient stability condition for MPC closed loop was given according to SVM model, and finally a method of judging the discrepancy between SVM model and the actual plant was presented, and consequently the constraint sets, which can guarantee that the stability condition is still robust for model/plant mismatch within some given bounds, were obtained by applying small-gain theorem. Simulation experiments show the proposed stability condition and robust constraint sets can provide a convenient way of adjusting controller parameters to ensure a closed-loop with larger stable margin. 展开更多

Warehouse operation has become a critical activity in supply chain. Position information of pallets is important in warehouse management which can enhance the efficiency of pallets picking and sortation. Radio frequency identification(RFID) has been widely used in warehouse for item identifying. Meanwhile, RFID technology also has great potential for pallets localization which is underutilized in warehouse management. RFID-based checking-in and inventory systems have been applied in warehouse management by many enterprises. Localization approach is studied, which is compatible with existing RFID checking-in and inventory systems. A novel RFID localization approach is proposed for pallets checking-in. Phase variation of nearby tags was utilized to estimate the position of added pallets. A novel inventory localization approach combing angle of arrival(AOA) measurement and received signal strength(RSS) is also proposed for pallets inventory. Experiments were carried out using standard UHF passive RFID system. Experimental results show an acceptable localization accuracy which can satisfy the requirement of warehouse management. 展开更多

Fault degradation prognostic, which estimates the time before a failure occurs and process breakdowns, has been recognized as a key component in maintenance strategies nowadays. Fault degradation processes are, in general,slowly varying and can be modeled by autoregressive models. However, industrial processes always show typical nonstationary nature, which may bring two challenges: how to capture fault degradation information and how to model nonstationary processes. To address the critical issues, a novel fault degradation modeling and online fault prognostic strategy is developed in this paper. First, a fault degradation-oriented slow feature analysis(FDSFA) algorithm is proposed to extract fault degradation directions along which candidate fault degradation features are extracted. The trend ability assessment is then applied to select major fault degradation features. Second, a key fault degradation factor(KFDF) is calculated to characterize the fault degradation tendency by combining major fault degradation features and their stability weighting factors. After that, a time-varying regression model with temporal smoothness regularization is established considering nonstationary characteristics. On the basis of updating strategy, an online fault prognostic model is further developed by analyzing and modeling the prediction errors. The performance of the proposed method is illustrated with a real industrial process. 展开更多

The optimal transmission lines assignment with maximal reliabilities (OTLAMR) in the multi-source multi-sink multi-state computer network (MMMCN) was investigated. The OTLAMR problem contains two sub-problems: the MMMCN reliabilities evaluation and multi-objective transmission lines assignment optimization. First, a reliability evaluation with a transmission line assignment (RETLA) algorithm is proposed to calculate the MMMCN reliabilities under the cost constraint for a certain transmission lines configuration. Second, the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) is adopted to find the non-dominated set of the transmission lines assignments based on the reliabilities obtained from the RETLA algorithm. By combining the RETLA and the NSGA-II algorithms together, the RETLA-NSGA II algorithm is proposed to solve the OTLAMR problem. The experiments result show that the RETLA-NSGA II algorithm can provide efficient solutions in a reasonable time, from which the decision makers can choose the best solution based on their preferences and experiences. 展开更多

Terahertz(THz) technique is a new measurement technique that has emerged in recent years.For the measurement of solid concentration,a radiation attenuation method and a phase delay method were developed,which are based on the Beer-Lambert law.Experimental work was carried out on a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system(THz-TDS).Results obtained verify that the terahertz technique may provide a possible new solution to the problem of solid concentration measurement and the two proposed measurement methods are effective.Experiment results also indicate that the phase delay method is more accurate than the radiation attenuation method and the size of the particles affects the measurement results of both methods. 展开更多

With the increasing complexity of industrial processes, the high-dimensional industrial data exhibit a strong nonlinearity, bringing considerable challenges to the fault diagnosis of industrial processes. To efficiently extract deep meaningful features that are crucial for fault diagnosis, a sparse Gaussian feature extractor(SGFE) is designed to learn a nonlinear mapping that projects the raw data into the feature space with the fault label dimension. The feature space is described by the one-hot encoding of the fault category label as an orthogonal basis. In this way, the deep sparse Gaussian features related to fault categories can be gradually learned from the raw data by SGFE. In the feature space,the sparse Gaussian(SG) loss function is designed to constrain the distribution of features to multiple sparse multivariate Gaussian distributions. The sparse Gaussian features are linearly separable in the feature space, which is conducive to improving the accuracy of the downstream fault classification task. The feasibility and practical utility of the proposed SGFE are verified by the handwritten digits MNIST benchmark and Tennessee-Eastman(TE) benchmark process,respectively. 展开更多

准确的功率曲线可以反映风机的运行状况,在风力发电机组的监测中至关重要。然而,一些新安装的风力发电机组由于没有足够的训练数据来拟合准确的功率曲线,从而导致监测结果不佳。本文提出了一种基于数据扩充的分段回归方法实现对风电机... 准确的功率曲线可以反映风机的运行状况,在风力发电机组的监测中至关重要。然而,一些新安装的风力发电机组由于没有足够的训练数据来拟合准确的功率曲线,从而导致监测结果不佳。本文提出了一种基于数据扩充的分段回归方法实现对风电机组的自适应监测,该方法可分为离线建模阶段和在线监测阶段。在离线建模时,首先,设计了一种新的映射函数,通过将其他数据集的数据映射到目标数据集上,从而实现对目标数据集的扩充,进而使得目标风力发电机组有足够的数据用于模型训练。然后,设计了一种分段建模策略,将扩充后数据的信息精炼到少量样本中,再进行功率曲线拟合,可以以较低的计算复杂度准确拟合出功率曲线。在线监测时,可依据功率曲线模型对功率进行预测,最后将预测结果与实际功率进行比较,从而实现对运行状态的监测。此外,我们提出一种增量学习策略,以利用新的数据实时更新模型提高预测和监测的准确度。实验采用真实风电数据,结果表明,所提监测方法能够在数据不足的情况下能准确地发现异常行为,监测准确率可达92.77%。 展开更多

A promising way is... Kernel-based methods work by embedding the data into a feature space and then searching linear hypothesis among the embedding data points. The performance is mostly affected by which kernel is used. A promising way is to learn the kernel from the data automatically. A general regularized risk functional (RRF) criterion for kernel matrix learning is proposed. Compared with the RRF criterion, general RRF criterion takes into account the geometric distributions of the embedding data points. It is proven that the distance between different geometric distdbutions can be estimated by their centroid distance in the reproducing kernel Hilbert space. Using this criterion for kernel matrix learning leads to a convex quadratically constrained quadratic programming (QCQP) problem. For several commonly used loss functions, their mathematical formulations are given. Experiment results on a collection of benchmark data sets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多
