In this work,the nickel-based powder metallurgy superalloy FGH95 was selected as experimental material,and the experimental parameters in multiple overlap laser shock processing(LSP)treatment were selected based on or...In this work,the nickel-based powder metallurgy superalloy FGH95 was selected as experimental material,and the experimental parameters in multiple overlap laser shock processing(LSP)treatment were selected based on orthogonal experimental design.The experimental data of residual stress and microhardness were measured in the same depth.The residual stress and microhardness laws were investigated and analyzed.Artificial neural network(ANN)with four layers(4-N-(N-1)-2)was applied to predict the residual stress and microhardness of FGH95 subjected to multiple overlap LSP.The experimental data were divided as training-testing sets in pairs.Laser energy,overlap rate,shocked times and depth were set as inputs,while residual stress and microhardness were set as outputs.The prediction performances with different network configuration of developed ANN models were compared and analyzed.The developed ANN model with network configuration of 4-7-6-2 showed the best predict performance.The predicted values showed a good agreement with the experimental values.In addition,the correlation coefficients among all the parameters and the effect of LSP parameters on materials response were studied.It can be concluded that ANN is a useful method to predict residual stress and microhardness of material subjected to LSP when with limited experimental data.展开更多

By using an input delay approach and a sector bound method, the network induced delays, quantization parameter and sampling intervals were presented in one framework in the case of the state and the control input by quantized in a logarithmic form. A novel Lyapunov function with discontinuity, which took full advantages of the NCS characteristic information, was exploited. In addition, it was shown that Lyapunov function decreased at the jump instants. Furthermore, the Leibniz-Newton formula and free-weighting matrix methods were used to obtain the guaranteed cost controller design conditions which were dependent on the NCS characteristic information. A numerical example was used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.展开更多

In this work, an optimal prediction model, constructed with the lumped element modeling(LEM) and the artificial bee colony(ABC) algorithm, was proposed to efficiently predict the combination of waveform parameters for obtaining the desired droplet properties. For acquiring higher simulation accuracy, a modified dynamic lumped element model(DLEM) was proposed with time-varying equivalent circuits, which can characterize the nonlinear behaviors of piezoelectric printhead. The proposed method was then applied to investigate the influences of various waveform parameters on droplet volume and velocity of nano-silver ink, and to predict the printing quality using nano-silver ink. Experimental results show that, compared with two-dimension manual search, the proposed optimal prediction model perform efficiently and accurately in searching the appropriate combination of waveform parameters for printable electronics fabrication.展开更多

The deadbands were respectively set up at the sensor to the controller and the controller to the actor sides in the WNCS, which were used to reduce data transmission, furthermore, to decrease the network collision and node energy consumption. Under the consideration of time-varying delays and signal transmission deadbands, the model for the WNCS was presented. A novel Lyapunov functional which took full advantages of the network factors was exploited. Meanwhile, new stability analysis and stabilization conditions for the WNCS were proposed, which described the relationship of the delay bounds, the transmission deadband bounds and the system stability. Two examples were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. The results show that the proposed approach can guarantee asymptotical stability of the system and reduce the data transmission effectively.展开更多

A novel geometrically exact finite el...The armored cable used in a deep-sea remotely operated vehicle(ROV) may undergo large displacement motion when subjected to dynamic actions of ship heave motion and ocean current. A novel geometrically exact finite element model for two-dimensional dynamic analysis of armored cable is presented. This model accounts for the geometric nonlinearities of large displacement of the armored cable, and effects of axial load and bending stiffness. The governing equations are derived by consistent linearization and finite element discretization of the total weak form of the armored cable system, and solved by the Newmark time integration method. To make the solution procedure avoid falling into the local extreme points, a simple adaptive stepping strategy is proposed. The presented model is validated via actual measured data. Results for dynamic configurations, motion and tension of both ends of the armored cable, and resonance-zone are presented for two numerical cases, including the dynamic analysis under the case of only ship heave motion and the case of joint action of ship heave motion and ocean current. The dynamics analysis can provide important reference for the design or product selection of the armored cable in a deep-sea ROV system so as to improve the safety of its marine operation under the sea state of 4 or above.展开更多

The numerical results on 10 benchmark functions demonstrated the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm. Then, the proposed algorithm is presented to design a butterfly-shaped microstrip patch antenna. Combined with the HFSS solver, a butterfly-shaped patch antenna with a bandwidth of about 40.1% is designed by using the proposed OMSPSO. The return loss of the butterfly-shaped antenna is greater than 10 d B between 4.15 and 6.36 GHz. The antenna can serve simultaneously for the high-speed wireless computer networks(5.15–5.35 GHz) and the RFID systems(5.8 GHz).展开更多

A novel model, fully describing the dynamic characteristic of network-based systems with packet disordering, is constructed. Different from the existing models of network-based systems, the number of delay items is time-varying in the model proposed. Further, this model is converted into a parameter-uncertain discrete-time system with time-varying delay item numbers in terms of matrix theory. Moreover, the less conservative stability condition is obtained by avoiding utilisation of Moon et al.’ inequality and bounding inequalities for quadratic functional terms. By solving a minization problem based on linear matrix inequalities, the state feedback controller is presented. Laser shock peening is a new type of metal surface modification technology.Compared to the traditional strengthening method,its enhancement effect and applicability are better.The applications of laser shock peening t...Laser shock peening is a new type of metal surface modification technology.Compared to the traditional strengthening method,its enhancement effect and applicability are better.The applications of laser shock peening technology are closely related to the equipment development technology.At present,foreign countries have developed a series of laser shock enhancement equipments,but there is a big gap between domestic and foreign countries be-cause of the late start and foreign related technology blockade,mainly for the performance of equipment instability,poor environmental adaptability and low degree of automation control.It is difficult to achieve industrial production applications.In view of the above problems,a fixed optical system structure and modular design method are used to develop a laser shock peening equipment.It can complete the processing of aero enginq blade with once clamping,and has a high degree of automation and high precision characteristics.Laser shock peening equipment is mainly com-posed of the control system,high-energy pulse laser,optical shaping system,trajectory robot,water supply robot,monitoring system and other modules.Under the coordination of the control system,the laser outputs short pulse high energy,and laser beam forms a different mode of laser through the optical path shaping system.Meanwhile,the track robot and waterjet robot in accordance with the pre-programmed program movement,and equipment equipped with monitoring system can monitor the operation of each sub-module system and read the running data and fault alarm in real time,and the formation of closed-loop control system feedback control each sub module system.When the room temperature stable at(22±2)C and 20 minutes after the device is switched on,the technical parameters such as the maximum output single pulse energy up to 25 J,energy instability<3%,pulse width which can be contin-uously adjusted between 16 ns and 20 ns,pulse width instability within-1 ns~1 ns,beam divergence<2.5 mrad,beam points instability<50 urad,the repetition frequency of 0.5 Hz~5 Hz are achieved,the transmission efficiency of the optical system is about 92%,the thickness of the constraint layer is uniform and the flow rate is continuously con-trolled.The test results show that the performance of the laser shock peening equipment is good.展开更多
Bonding quality at the interface of solid propellant grains is crucial for the reliability and safety of solid rocket motors.Although bonding reliability is influenced by numerous factors,the lack of quantitative char...Bonding quality at the interface of solid propellant grains is crucial for the reliability and safety of solid rocket motors.Although bonding reliability is influenced by numerous factors,the lack of quantitative characterization of interface debonding mechanisms and the challenge of identifying key factors have made precise control of process variables difficult,resulting in unpredictable failure risks.This paper presents an improved fuzzy failure probability evaluation method that combines fuzzy fault tree analysis with expert knowledge,transforming process data into fuzzy failure probability to accurately assess debonding probabilities.The predictive model is constructed through a general regression neural network and optimized using the particle swarm optimization algorithm.Sensitivity analysis is conducted to identify key decision variables,including normal force,grain rotation speed,and adhesive weight,which are verified experimentally.Compared with classical models,the maximum error margin of the constructed reliability prediction model is only 0.02%,and it has high stability.The experimental results indicate that the main factors affecting debonding are processing roughness and coating uniformity.Controlling the key decision variable as the median resulted in a maximum increase of 200.7%in bonding strength.The feasibility of the improved method has been verified,confirming that identifying key decision variables has the ability to improve bonding reliability.The proposed method simplifies the evaluation of propellant interface bonding reliability under complex conditions by quantifying the relationship between process parameters and failure risk,enabling targeted management of key decision variables.展开更多
This paper investigates a new vortex wave imaging approach to improve the imaging quality of small metal targets of size less than 1.5 mm.Antennas with different spiral phase plates are designed to efficiently transmi...This paper investigates a new vortex wave imaging approach to improve the imaging quality of small metal targets of size less than 1.5 mm.Antennas with different spiral phase plates are designed to efficiently transmit vortex beams with orbital angular momentums(OAMs).By analyzing the OAM spectrum of the target,it was discovered that the predominant reflection contains a particular OAM mode that carries abundant azimuthal information.This can be explained by the OAM selectivity of the target and the guidance of the vortex transmitting beam.A simple reflection vortex imaging system was designed to capture the phase information.Measurement results show that the high image contrast reaches 14.9%,which is twice as high as that of the imaging without OAM.Both of simulations and experiments demonstrate that the vortex phase imaging approach proposed in this paper can effectively improve the imaging quality at 80 GHz.This approach is suitable for other millimeter wave imaging systems and is helpful to improve the resolution in anti-terrorism security checks.展开更多

The dynamic system is trained to enhance its learning and adaptive capability by a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm. We define the conception of pressure to describe the system feature. Designing a reward function should be guided by the scheduling goal to accurately record the learning progress. In the proposed model, robot that mimics the behavior of bacteria is able to determine an optimal collision-free path between a start and a target point in the environment surrounded by obstacles. In the simulation, two test scenarios of static environment with different number obstacles were adopted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Simulation results show that the robot which reflects the bacterial foraging behavior can adapt to complex environments in the planned trajectories with both satisfactory accuracy and stability.展开更多

Moreover, the less conservative stability condition is obtained by avoiding utilisation of Moon et al.’ inequality and bounding inequalities for quadratic functional terms. By solving a minization problem based on linear matrix inequalities, the state feedback controller is presented. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
文摘Laser shock peening is a new type of metal surface modification technology.Compared to the traditional strengthening method,its enhancement effect and applicability are better.The applications of laser shock peening technology are closely related to the equipment development technology.At present,foreign countries have developed a series of laser shock enhancement equipments,but there is a big gap between domestic and foreign countries be-cause of the late start and foreign related technology blockade,mainly for the performance of equipment instability,poor environmental adaptability and low degree of automation control.It is difficult to achieve industrial production applications.In view of the above problems,a fixed optical system structure and modular design method are used to develop a laser shock peening equipment.It can complete the processing of aero enginq blade with once clamping,and has a high degree of automation and high precision characteristics.Laser shock peening equipment is mainly com-posed of the control system,high-energy pulse laser,optical shaping system,trajectory robot,water supply robot,monitoring system and other modules.Under the coordination of the control system,the laser outputs short pulse high energy,and laser beam forms a different mode of laser through the optical path shaping system.Meanwhile,the track robot and waterjet robot in accordance with the pre-programmed program movement,and equipment equipped with monitoring system can monitor the operation of each sub-module system and read the running data and fault alarm in real time,and the formation of closed-loop control system feedback control each sub module system.When the room temperature stable at(22±2)C and 20 minutes after the device is switched on,the technical parameters such as the maximum output single pulse energy up to 25 J,energy instability<3%,pulse width which can be contin-uously adjusted between 16 ns and 20 ns,pulse width instability within-1 ns~1 ns,beam divergence<2.5 mrad,beam points instability<50 urad,the repetition frequency of 0.5 Hz~5 Hz are achieved,the transmission efficiency of the optical system is about 92%,the thickness of the constraint layer is uniform and the flow rate is continuously con-trolled.The test results show that the performance of the laser shock peening equipment is good.

文摘Bonding quality at the interface of solid propellant grains is crucial for the reliability and safety of solid rocket motors.Although bonding reliability is influenced by numerous factors,the lack of quantitative characterization of interface debonding mechanisms and the challenge of identifying key factors have made precise control of process variables difficult,resulting in unpredictable failure risks.This paper presents an improved fuzzy failure probability evaluation method that combines fuzzy fault tree analysis with expert knowledge,transforming process data into fuzzy failure probability to accurately assess debonding probabilities.The predictive model is constructed through a general regression neural network and optimized using the particle swarm optimization algorithm.Sensitivity analysis is conducted to identify key decision variables,including normal force,grain rotation speed,and adhesive weight,which are verified experimentally.Compared with classical models,the maximum error margin of the constructed reliability prediction model is only 0.02%,and it has high stability.The experimental results indicate that the main factors affecting debonding are processing roughness and coating uniformity.Controlling the key decision variable as the median resulted in a maximum increase of 200.7%in bonding strength.The feasibility of the improved method has been verified,confirming that identifying key decision variables has the ability to improve bonding reliability.The proposed method simplifies the evaluation of propellant interface bonding reliability under complex conditions by quantifying the relationship between process parameters and failure risk,enabling targeted management of key decision variables.

文摘This paper investigates a new vortex wave imaging approach to improve the imaging quality of small metal targets of size less than 1.5 mm.Antennas with different spiral phase plates are designed to efficiently transmit vortex beams with orbital angular momentums(OAMs).By analyzing the OAM spectrum of the target,it was discovered that the predominant reflection contains a particular OAM mode that carries abundant azimuthal information.This can be explained by the OAM selectivity of the target and the guidance of the vortex transmitting beam.A simple reflection vortex imaging system was designed to capture the phase information.Measurement results show that the high image contrast reaches 14.9%,which is twice as high as that of the imaging without OAM.Both of simulations and experiments demonstrate that the vortex phase imaging approach proposed in this paper can effectively improve the imaging quality at 80 GHz.This approach is suitable for other millimeter wave imaging systems and is helpful to improve the resolution in anti-terrorism security checks.
文摘Production scheduling is critical to manufacturing system. Dispatching rules are usually applied dynamically to schedule the job in a dynamic job-shop. Existing scheduling approaches seldom address machine selection in the scheduling process. Composite rules, considering both machine selection andjob selection, are proposed in this paper. The dynamic system is trained to enhance its learning and adaptive capability by a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm. We define the conception of pressure to describe the system feature. Designing a reward function should be guided by the scheduling goal to accurately record the learning progress. Competitive results with the RL-based approach show that it can be used as real-time scheduling technology.

文摘A modified artificial bee colony optimizer(MABC)is proposed for image segmentation by using a pool of optimal foraging strategies to balance the exploration and exploitation tradeoff.The main idea of MABC is to enrichartificial bee foraging behaviors by combining local search and comprehensive learning using multi-dimensional PSO-based equation.With comprehensive learning,the bees incorporate the information of global best solution into the solution search equation to improve the exploration while the local search enables the bees deeply exploit around the promising area,which provides a proper balance between exploration and exploitation.The experimental results on comparing the MABC to several successful EA and SI algorithms on a set of benchmarks demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.Furthermore,we applied the MABC algorithm to image segmentation problem.Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

文摘The utilization of biomimicry of bacterial foraging strategy was considered to develop an adaptive control strategy for mobile robot, and a bacterial foraging approach was proposed for robot path planning. In the proposed model, robot that mimics the behavior of bacteria is able to determine an optimal collision-free path between a start and a target point in the environment surrounded by obstacles. In the simulation, two test scenarios of static environment with different number obstacles were adopted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Simulation results show that the robot which reflects the bacterial foraging behavior can adapt to complex environments in the planned trajectories with both satisfactory accuracy and stability.

文摘Considering radar detection for multi-target recognition, a track before detect (TBD) algorithm based on Hough transform is adopted for identifying and tracking multi-target radar. By increasing the dimensions of the target characteristic parameters, the target detection and track accuracy is increased. Also, by multilevel filtering processing, the diverging points of the echo signal are condensed, which improves the performance of identifying and tracking multiple targets. Simulation results show that compared with traditional TBD algorithms, the presented algorithm has better performance in the aspects of multi-target tracking, detecting and distinguishing.
文摘An effective automatic target detection algorithm based on wavelet transform,which takes advantage of the localization and the orientation of wavelet analysis,is proposed.The algorithm detects the target in the vertical component of the wavelet transformation of the image.After mutual energy combination and sea clutter suppression through spatial weighting and thresholding,the target is located through maximum energy determination and its size is indicated through similarity measurement function of two overlapping windows.Experiment results show that the target can be detected by the algorithm in a single image frame and the better efficiency can be obtained also under the complicated backgrounds of existing the disturbances of cloud layer and fish scale light.
