The dispersion of magnetic nanoparticles in matrix is crucial to ensure optimum performance of the composite.The difficulty level of achieving good dispersion is further increase when a multi-phases of matrix is prese...The dispersion of magnetic nanoparticles in matrix is crucial to ensure optimum performance of the composite.The difficulty level of achieving good dispersion is further increase when a multi-phases of matrix is present.A pre-coating technique of magnetic nanoparticles with polypropylene using ball-mill prior to melt-blending process was employed to prepare a multi-phases thermoplastic natural rubber composite.The effect of filler loading(2 wt%-10 wt%) on morphology,structure,magnetic properties,thermal stability and dynamic mechanical properties of the composites were investigated.It was found that the NiZn ferrite nanoparticles act as nucleating agent to form beta isostatic polypropylene thermoplastic composites.The composites’ magnetic properties are directly dependent on the filler concentration.The dispersion of magnetic fillers in polymer matrix plays role in affecting the magnetic properties and thermal stability.The preference of filler to locate at amorphous phase has distorted the chain orientation of natural rubber and polypropylene.Hence,the polymorphism and crystallinity of the matrix varied as the filler loading increased,affecting the dynamic mechanical properties.It was found that 8 wt% NiZn nanocomposite exhibits highest E’ and tanδ,indicating the dynamic mechanical properties of NiZn nanocomposite are affected by β-phase degree.展开更多

However, its low accuracy of kernel approximation when particles are distributed disorderly or located near the boundary is an obstacle standing in the way of its wide application. Adopting the Taylor series expansion method and solving the integral equation matrix, the second order kernel approximation method can be obtained, namely K2_SPH, which is discussed in this paper. This method is similar to the Finite Particle Method. With the improvement of kernel approximation, some numerical techniques should be adopted for different types of boundaries, such as a free surface boundary and solid boundary, which are two key numerical techniques of K2_SPH for water wave simulation. This paper gives some numerical results of two dimensional water wave simulations involving standing wave and sloshing tank problems by using K2_SPH. N-continuous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(NC-OFDM)is a promising multicarrier transmission waveform conceived for improving sidelobe suppression performance.To reduce the severe inband interference in tr...N-continuous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(NC-OFDM)is a promising multicarrier transmission waveform conceived for improving sidelobe suppression performance.To reduce the severe inband interference in traditional NC-OFDM,we have proposed low-interference signal modeling for NC-OFDM.However,spectral leakage and error may be undesirably increased owing to the limited continuous differentiability of the smooth signal.In this paper,the low-interference scheme is investigated in terms of power spectrum density(PSD)and error performance,under the parameters of the highest derivative order(HDO)and the length of the smooth signal,to prove and quantify its advantages over traditional NC-OFDM.In the context of PSD,sidelobe decay is evaluated upon considering two discontinuous points due to the finite continuity of the smooth signal and its higher-order derivatives.Furthermore,it was shown that the low-interference scheme incurs small signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)loss and bit error rate(BER)for a short length of the smooth signal or a small HDO compared to traditional NC-OFDM.Meanwhile,due to the cyclostationarity loss imposed by the smooth signal,an effective solution is suggested for the time synchronization in a practical system.Based on analyses and simulation results,the trade offs between sidelobe suppression and BER are studied.展开更多
