The relationship between multipath overlapping and the path loss is analyzed mathematically. Time-domain technique is introduced to compute reflection coefficient in a very short time interval. A 5 rays path loss calculation method, which is satisfactory accurate, is developed. 5 typical environments are involved to analyze and generalize the common path loss characteristics in vacancy indoor environment. The simulation result shows that the path loss can be characterized as 3 zones with different path loss exponent as distance between transmitter and receiver increasing. 展开更多

The multi-dimensional time-domain computational fluid dynamics(CFD) approach is extended to calculate the acoustic attenuation performance of water-filled piping silencers. Transmission loss predictions from the time-domain CFD approach and the frequency-domain finite element method(FEM) agree well with each other for the dual expansion chamber silencer, straight-through and cross-flow perforated tube silencers without flow. Then, the time-domain CFD approach is used to investigate the effect of flow on the acoustic attenuation characteristics of perforated tube silencers. The numerical predictions demonstrate that the mean flow increases the transmission loss, especially at higher frequencies, and shifts the transmission loss curve to lower frequencies. 展开更多

Metallic ring-shaped nanotube arrays are proposed and its optical transmission properties are studied by using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Compared with the transmission spectra of conventional circular nanotube arrays, two photonic band gaps are emerged in the transmission spectra offing-shaped nanotube arrays, the two band gaps and transmission spectra are adjusted by the length, inner radius, intertube spacing and the dielectric constants of the core and embedding medium, and magnitude modification, redshift and blueshift of the resonance modes are observed. A metallic ring-shaped nanotube arrays for subwavelength band-stop filter in the range of visible light can be achieved. To understand its physical origin, field-interference mechanism was suggested by the field distributions. The proposed nanostructures and results may have great potential applications in subwavelength near-field optics. 展开更多

Large calculation error can be formed by directly employing the conventional Yee’s grid to curve surfaces.In order to alleviate such condition,unconditionally stable CrankNicolson Douglas-Gunn(CNDG)algorithm with is proposed for rotationally symmetric multi-scale problems in anisotropic magnetized plasma.Within the CNDG algorithm,an alternative scheme for the simulation of anisotropic plasma is proposed in body-of-revolution domains.Convolutional perfectly matched layer(CPML)formulation is proposed to efficiently solve the open region problems.Numerical example is carried out for the illustration of effectiveness including the efficiency,resources,and absorption.Through the results,it can be concluded that the proposed scheme shows considerable performance during the simulation. 展开更多

为探究电流-电压四端法和时域反射法两种接触式测量方法在不同质地土壤和不同含盐量、含水率土壤的适用性,设计基于"电流-电压"四端法的土壤电导率测量仪,对其标定并与时域反射法进行对比试验。标定结果表明,当电导率在0~14mS... 为探究电流-电压四端法和时域反射法两种接触式测量方法在不同质地土壤和不同含盐量、含水率土壤的适用性,设计基于"电流-电压"四端法的土壤电导率测量仪,对其标定并与时域反射法进行对比试验。标定结果表明,当电导率在0~14mS/cm范围内时,该仪器具有较高准确度。不同含水率的对比试验结果表明,四端法和时域反射法在一定含盐量范围内都具有较好的线性度;而当砂质壤土含水率为20%、含盐量大于0.6%时,四端法电导率测量仪测得的电导率基本保持不变;当粉质黏土含水率较低和较高时,电导率均变化不大,因此在使用时应尽量避免在土壤含水率较低和较高时进行测量。不同质地土壤的对比试验表明,四端法和时域反射法均在含盐量较低时受土壤质地影响较小,在含盐量较高时受土壤质地影响较大。 展开更多

本文在时域有限元(Finite-Element Time-Domain,FETD)方法中实现了一种新型亚网格技术,并通过空间滤模(Spatial Modes Filtering,SMF)发展为无条件稳定亚网格FETD(Subgridding SMF-FETD,SSMF-FETD)方法.本文给出了FETD中亚网格技术的具... 本文在时域有限元(Finite-Element Time-Domain,FETD)方法中实现了一种新型亚网格技术,并通过空间滤模(Spatial Modes Filtering,SMF)发展为无条件稳定亚网格FETD(Subgridding SMF-FETD,SSMF-FETD)方法.本文给出了FETD中亚网格技术的具体实施方案,包括粗细网格交界处粗网格棱边的编号方案、系统矩阵的建立过程以及亚网格FETD(Subgridding FETD,S-FETD)方法的系统迭代方案.亚网格技术的引入在一定程度上会破坏系统矩阵的稀疏度,但基于有限元框架下建立的系统矩阵依然保持对称正定或半正定特性.因此,可以直接将SMF方法应用到S-FETD方法中.通过广义特征值分解获得S-FETD系统矩阵的不稳定模式,并修改其矩阵方程,进而得到SSMF-FETD方法.S-FETD方法能够有效减少未知量数目,在此基础上数值结果表明,SSMF-FETD可以有效扩大时间步长并保持结果准确,从而进一步提升计算效率.在面对含有复杂精细结构的问题时,所提方法具有较高的有效性和准确性. 展开更多

The absorbing boundary is the key in numerical simulation of borehole radar.Perfect match layer(PML) was chosen as the absorbing boundary in numerical simulation of GPR.But CPML(convolutional perfect match layer) approach that we have chosen has the advantage of being media independent.Beginning with the Maxwell equations in a two-dimensional structure,numerical formulas of finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method with CPML boundary condition for transverse electric(TE) or transverse magnetic(TM) wave are presented in details.Also,there are three models for borehole-GPR simulation.By analyzing the simulation results,the features of targets in GPR are obtained,which can provide a better interpretation of real radar data.The results show that CPML is well suited for the simulation of borehole-GPR. 展开更多

Time-domain astrophysics will enter a golden era towards the end of this decade with the advent of major facilities across the electromagnetic spectrum and in the multi-messenger realms of gravitational wave and neutrino.In the soft X-ray regime,the novel micro-pore lobster-eye optics provides a promising technology to realise,for the first time,focusing X-ray optics for wide-angle monitors to achieve a good combination of sensitivity and wide field of view.In this context Einstein Probe,a soft X-ray all-sky monitor mission,was proposed and selected as a candidate mission of priority in the space science programme of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.This paper reviews the most important science developments and key questions in this field towards 2020 and beyond,and how to achieve them technologically.It also introduces the Einstein Probe mission,including its key science goals and mission definition,as well as some of the key technological issues. 展开更多

In order to achieve the information fusion in the time domain based on the evidence theory, an evidence combination method in the time domain based on reliability and importance is proposed according to the idea of evidence discount. Firstly, the distortion of the time-domain evidence is judged based on single exponential smoothing. The real-time reliability of the evidence at the adjacent time is obtained by the real-time reliability assessment method of the evidence based on the credibility decay model.Then, the relative importance of the evidence at the adjacent time is obtained by comprehensively considering improved conflict degree and uncertainty. Finally, based on the criterion of evidence discount and the Dempster’s rule of combination, the evidence combination is carried out to achieve the sequential combination of time-domain evidence. The numerical simulation and analysis show that this method has fully embodied the dynamic characteristics of time-domain evidence combination, and it has strong processing ability for conflict information and anti-disturbing ability.The proposed method has good applicability to information fusion in the time domain. 展开更多

The key steps involved in the scheme are summarized. First, the cut-off frequencies of slot waveguides with different slot offsets are obtained by 3D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, Second, the attenuation function a^a is estimated by the aperture distribution, and the attenuation function αrs is determined by the slot radiation. Finally, the attenuation function αrs is combined with the attenuation function αrs by the coefficient K. And an example in Ka band is presented. Moreover, the return loss of the E-plane Tee-junction (ET) and the radiation pattern of leaky-wave antenna are simulated. The scheme is verified by comparing with the experimental result. 展开更多

To efficiently simulate and calculate the radar cross section(RCS) related electromagnetic problems by employing the finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) algorithm, an efficient stretched coordinate perfectly matched layer(ESC-PML) based upon the exponential time differencing(ETD) method is proposed.The proposed implementation can not only reduce the number of auxiliary variables in the SC-PML regions but also maintain the ability of the original SC-PML in terms of the absorbing performance. Compared with the other existed algorithms, the ETDFDTD method shows the least memory consumption resulting in the computational efficiency. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed ESC-PML scheme is verified through the RCS relevant problems including the perfect E conductor(PEC) sphere model and the patch antenna model. The results indicate that the proposed scheme has the advantages of the ETD-FDTD method and ESC-PML scheme in terms of high computational efficiency and considerable computational accuracy. 展开更多

In order to simulate metamaterial rotational symmetric open region problems,unconditionally stable perfectly match layer(PML)implementation is proposed in the body of revolution(BOR)finite-difference time-domain(FDTD)lattice.More precisely,the proposed algorithm is implemented by the Crank-Nicolson(CN)Douglas-Gunn(DG)procedure for BOR metamaterial simulation.The constitutive relationship of metamaterial can be expressed by the Drude model and calculated by the piecewise linear recursive convolution(PLRC)approach.The effectiveness including absorption,efficiency,and accuracy is demonstrated through the numerical example.It can be concluded that the proposed implementation is to take the advantages of the CNDG-PML procedure,PLRC approach,and BORFDTD algorithm in terms of considerable accuracy,enhanced absorption and remarkable efficiency.Meanwhile,it can be demonstrated that the proposed scheme can maintain its unconditional stability when the time step exceeds the CourantFriedrichs-Levy(CFL)condition. 展开更多

To handle the electromagnetic problems of the bi-static radar cross section (RCS) calculation of scatterer in a wide fre- quency band, a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) extrapolation method combining with discrete Fourier transform (DFT) is pro- posed. By comparing the formulas between the steady state field extrapolation method and the transient field extrapolation method, a novel extrapolation method combining with DFT used in FDTD is proposed when a transient field incident wave is introduced. With the proposed method, the full-angle RCS distribution in a wide fre- quency band can be achieved through one-time FDTD calculation. Afterwards, the back-scattering RCS distributions of a double olive body and a sphere-cone body are calculated. Numerical results verify the validity of the proposed method. 展开更多

Because the conventional ultra wideband(UWB) radar imaging algorithm cannot meet the demand in the capability of multiple targets detection,a novel UWB radar imaging algorithm based on the near field radiation theory of dipole is presented.On the foundation of researching the principle of a time domain imaging algorithm,the back projection(BP) algorithm is derived and analyzed.Firstly,the far field sampling data are transferred to the near field sampling data by using the near field radiation theory of dipole.Then the BP algorithm is applied to target detection.The capability of the new algorithm to detect the multi-target is verified by using the finite-difference time-domain method,and the threedimensional images of targets are obtained.The coupling effect between targets for imaging is analyzed.The simulation results show that the new UWB radar imaging algorithm based on the near field radiation theory of dipole could weaken the coupling effect for imaging,and as a result the quality of imaging is improved. 展开更多
