Since the discovery of carbon dots(CDs)in 2004,the unique photoluminescence phenomenon of CDs has attracted widespread attention.However,the molecular weight of CDs has not been adequately quantified at present,due to CDs are atomically imprecise and their molecular weight distribution is broad.In this paper,a series of Pluronic-modified CDs were prepared and the structure of the CDs was briefly analyzed.Subsequently,a molecular weight measurement method based on colligative properties was developed,and the correction coefficient in the algorithm was briefly analyzed.The calculated molecular weight was applied to the determination of surface adsorption capacity.This work provided a method for averaging the molecular weight of atomically imprecise particulate materials,which is expected to provide new opportunities in related fields. 展开更多

In this paper,the effect of sodium laurate(SL)on the properties of sodium lauroyl glutamate(SLG),such as surface activity,foam,wetting,emulsification,and resistance to hard water,has been systematically investigated.The results showed that the critical micelle concentration(cmc)of SLG was 0.30 mmol/L,and the surface tension at the cmc(γcmc)was 34.95 mN/m.With the increase of SL content,the efficiency of SLG solution in reducing the surface tension was decreased.When the SL content was increased,there was no significant change in the foaming ability and foam stability of SLG solutions.The increase of SL content improved both the emulsification and wettability of SLG,but reduced its water resistance. 展开更多

Lithium-oxygen batteries attract considerable attention due to exceptionally high theoretical energy density,while the development remains in its early stage.As is widely suggested,the solution mechanism induces greater discharge capacity,while the surface mechanism induces greater cycle stability.Therefore,battery performance can be improved by adjusting the reaction mechanism.Previous studies predominantly focus on extremely thin or flat electrodes.In contrast,this work utilizes thick electrodes,emphasizing the importance of mass transport.Given that the electrolyte solvent is the main site of mass transport,the effects of two typical solvents on mass transport and battery performance are investigated:dimethyl sulfoxide with low viscosity and a high O_(2) diffusion rate and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether with high O_(2) solubility and high Li+transport capability.The results reveal a novel pathway for reaction mechanism induction where the mechanism varies with the spatial position of the electrode.As the spatial distribution of the electrode progresses,a layered appearance of solution mechanism products,transition state products,and surface mechanism products emerges,which is attributed to the increase in the mass transfer resistance.This work presents a distinct perspective on the way solvents influence reaction pathways and offers a new approach to regulating reaction pathways. 展开更多

A detailed understanding of the composition,buffering capacity,surface charge property,and metals leaching behavior of bauxite residue is the key to improved management,both in reducing the environmental impact and using the material as an industrial by-product for other applications.In this study,physical,chemical,and surface charge properties of bauxite residue derived from a combined process were investigated.Results indicated that the main alkaline solids in bauxite residue were katoite,sodalite,and calcite.These minerals also lead to a higher acid neutralizing capacity of bauxite residue.Acid neutralizing capacity(ANC)to pH 7.0 of this residue is about 0.9 mol H^+/kg solid.Meanwhile,the Fe-,Al-,and Si-containing minerals in bauxite residue resulted in an active surface;The isoelectric point(IEP)and point of zero charge(PZC)were 7.88 and 7.65,respectively.This also leads to a fact that most of the metals in bauxite residue were adsorbed by these surface charged solids,which makes the metals not readily move under natural or even moderately acidic conditions.The leaching behavior of metals as a function of pH indicated that the metals in bauxite residue present low release concentrations(pH>3). 展开更多

The effects of the cell parameter and chemical composition on the surface charge properties of five kinds of different colour montmorillonites were studied. The results indicate that the surface isoelectric point(IEP) of the montmorillonite shows positive correlation with the mass fractions of Fe203 and K20, but it has little relation to the mass fractions of other chemical compositions. At around pH=6.8, the surface zeta potential of the montmorillonite shows the negative relationship with the mass fractions of Fe203 and MgO, but it does not linearly correlate to the mass fractions of other chemical compositions. Cell parameter(bo) of the montmorillonite expresses negative linear relationship with mass fractions of K2O and Na2O, so does cosinβ with mass fractions of SlOE and Fe2O3. And there is no specific relationship between bo and IEP of different montmorillonites, but there is positive correlation between cosinβ and IEP of different montmorillonite samples. 展开更多

It was found that air dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma contributed to the grafting of epoxy resin onto continuous PBO fiber surface. This air-plasma-grafting-epoxy method yielded a noticeable enhancement in the interfacial adhesion between PBO fiber and thermoplastic matrix resin, with the interlaminar shear strength of the resulting composites increased by 66.7%. DSC and FTIR analyses were then used to study the curing behavior of epoxy coating on PBO fiber surface, deduce the possible grafting reactions and investigate the grafting mechanism. More importantly, TGA measurement showed that the grafting of epoxy onto PBO fiber had almost no effect on the composite heat resistance, and there was more thermoplastic matrix resin adhering to the fiber surface; the latter could also be clearly found in the SEM photos. Thereby, the air-plasma-grafting-epoxy treatment was proved to be an effective method for the improvement of continuous PBO fiber surface adhesive properties. 展开更多

In this study,a mathematical model was developed to optimize the heat treatment process for maximum tensile strength and ductility of aluminum(8011) silicon carbide particulate composites.The process parameters are solutionizing time,aging temperature,and aging time.The experiments were performed on an universal testing machine according to centre rotatable design matrix.A mathematical model was developed with the main and interactive effects of the parameters considered.The analysis of variance technique was used to check the adequacy of the developed model.The optimum parameters were obtained for maximum tensile strength.Fractographic examination shows the cracks and dimples on the fractured surfaces of heat-treated specimen. 展开更多

The influence of three factors, such as volume percentage of reinforcement particles(i.e. Al2O3), tool tilt angle and concave angle of shoulder, on the mechanical properties of Cue Al2O3 surface composites fabricated via friction stir processing was studied. Taguchi method was used to optimize these factors for maximizing the mechanical properties of surface composites. The fabricated surface composites were examined by optical microscope for dispersion of reinforcement particles. It was found that Al2O3 particles are uniformly dispersed in the stir zone. The tensile properties of the surface composites increased with the increase in the volume percentage of the Al2O3 reinforcement particles.This is due to the addition of the reinforcement particles which increases the temperature of recrystallization by pinning the grain boundaries of the copper matrix and blocking the movement of the dislocations. The observed mechanical properties are correlated with microstructure and fracture features. 展开更多

The effect of surface roughness of aluminum oxide (95%) substrate on the properties of Ni-Cr alloy thin film is studied.The thin films are prepared on the substrates with different roughness by using magnetron sputtering.The micro-structure,adhesive and electrical properties of the thin films were investigated by using scanning electron microscopy,scratch method and four-probe method.The burst voltage and current of the thin film transducers with different substrates were measured according to D-optimization method.The results show that the particle size,structural defect,resistivity and adhesion strength of the thin film increase with the increase of the substrate roughness.The difference among the burst time of the samples with difference substrate roughness gradually decreases with the increase of stimulation amount.The burst time is approximate to 20 μs in the charging voltage of 37 V. 展开更多

The effects of SiCp surface modifications(Cu coating,Ni coating and Ni/Cu coating)on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Al matrix composites were investigated.Surface modification of SiC particles with Cu,Ni and Cu/Ni,respectively,was carried out by electroless plating method.SiCp/Al composites were prepared by hot pressed sintering followed by hot extrusion.The results show that the surface modification of SiC particles plays an effective role,which is relative to the type of surface coating,and the interfacial bonding become stronger in the following order:untreated SiCp<Ni(Cu)-coated SiCp<Ni/Cu-coated SiCp.The Ni/Cu-coated SiCp/Al composites exhibit the best comprehensive mechanical properties,with ultimate tensile strength(σUTS)and fracture strain(εf)of 389 MPa and 6.3%,respectively.Compared with that of untreated-SiCp/Al composites,theσUTS andεf are enhanced by 19.3%and 57.5%. 展开更多

Based on the working principles of particle bed comminution, particles produced by high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) have surface properties different from particles produced by other grinding patterns, which exert great influence on mineral flotation. Flotation performances of calcite particles under different grinding patterns involving the use of HPGR, a jaw crusher, a dry ball mill, a wet ball mill, and a wet rod mill were studied using single mineral flotation tests. The surface properties of the particles under different grinding patterns were characterized to determine the flotation performance variation in terms of specific surface area, particle size distribution, AFM, XPS, and zeta potential. The results show that particles ground by HPGR exhibited improved flotation performance within the lower range of grinding fineness in both NaOL and dodecyl amine flotation systems compared to the particles prepared using other grinding patterns. Specific surface area, particle size distribution, surface roughness, Fe(III) contamination, binding energy, and zeta potential are greatly influenced by grinding patterns, which is the main cause of the flotation performance variation. 展开更多

The calculated results show that the structure and electronic properties of sulfide minerals surfaces have been influenced in presence of H2 O molecule. The adsorption of the flotation reagent at the interface of mineral-water would be different from that of mineral surface due to the changes of surface structures and electronic properties caused by H2 O molecule. The heat treatable aluminum-copper alloy AA2014 finds wide application in the aerospace and defence industry due to its high strength-toweight ratio and good ductility. Friction stir welding(FSW) process, an emerging solid state joining process, is suitable for joining this alloy compared to fusion welding processes. This work presents the formulation of a mathematical model with process parameters and tool geometry to predict the responses of friction stir welds of AA 2014-T6 aluminum alloy, viz yield strength, tensile strength and ductility. The most influential process parameters considered are spindle speed, welding speed, tilt angle and tool pin profile. A four-factor, five-level central composite design was used and a response surface methodology(RSM) was employed to develop the regression models to predict the responses.The mechanical properties, such as yield strength(YS), ultimate tensile strength(UTS) and percentage elongation(%El), are considered as responses. Method of analysis of variance was used to determine the important process parameters that affect the responses. Validation trials were carried out to validate these results. These results indicate that the friction stir welds of AA 2014-T6 aluminum alloy welded with hexagonal tool pin profile have the highest tensile strength and elongation, whereas the joints fabricated with conical tool pin profile have the lowest tensile strength and elongation. 展开更多

为实现工业固废在道路与铁道路基工程中的高值化利用,助力双碳目标在交通运输工程领域中的达成,采用钢渣、矿渣与2种脱硫产物(DP-1、DP-2)等工业固废制备再生胶凝固化剂。基于响应面法考察不同工业固废的交互作用并得到其最优组配。采... 为实现工业固废在道路与铁道路基工程中的高值化利用,助力双碳目标在交通运输工程领域中的达成,采用钢渣、矿渣与2种脱硫产物(DP-1、DP-2)等工业固废制备再生胶凝固化剂。基于响应面法考察不同工业固废的交互作用并得到其最优组配。采用最优组配下的固化剂对粉土进行改良固化,并表征本研究固化粉土微观结构。与水泥固化粉土作对比,探究了固化剂掺量、养护龄期对固化粉土力学性能和耐久性的影响规律,并分析2种固化粉土的矿物成分,探究再生胶凝固化剂的粉土固化机理。研究结果表明:7 d无侧限抗压强度(p_(usc))响应面模型经残差正态概率分布检验,模型可靠度较高。钢渣与矿渣、钢渣与DP-2交互作用对7 d p_(usc)值的影响极其显著,再生胶凝固化剂最优配比(%)为钢渣∶矿渣∶DP-1∶DP-2=52.1∶19.9∶19.5∶8.5。研究可知,固化粉土具有良好的力学性能和耐久性,在养护后期(28 d)与水泥固化粉土p_(usc)值、加州承载比值、水稳性能系数值、冻融循环系数值分别相差1.9%、0.5%、1.0%、2.3%。再生胶凝固化剂组分在碱性环境中发挥协同作用,水化产物交错生长填充了粉土颗粒之间的孔隙,从而提高了固化粉土的力学性能。同掺量的再生胶凝固化剂碳排放仅为水泥的1.66%,推荐再生胶凝固化剂路床固化工程最优掺量为6%~8%,该技术的推广应用具有重要环保和社会意义。 展开更多

提升TC11钛合金的耐磨损性能对航空发动机关键零部件的安全性能至关重要。基于表面机械研磨处理工艺,通过将研磨球和TiN粉末混合研磨的方式,在TC11钛合金表面实现了晶粒细化和弥散强化,成功制备了基于TiN颗粒增强的强化层,对表面形貌和... 提升TC11钛合金的耐磨损性能对航空发动机关键零部件的安全性能至关重要。基于表面机械研磨处理工艺,通过将研磨球和TiN粉末混合研磨的方式,在TC11钛合金表面实现了晶粒细化和弥散强化,成功制备了基于TiN颗粒增强的强化层,对表面形貌和微观组织特征进行研究,并评估其耐磨损性能。结果表明,处理后的TC11钛合金样品表面粗糙度显著降低,表面硬度和耐磨损性能显著提升。与未处理和仅作普通研磨处理的样品相比,TiN颗粒增强的样品表面粗糙度分别降低了43.29%和23.14%,表面硬度分别提高了9.48%和1.8%,磨痕宽度分别降低了36.18%和33.18%。本文为改善TC11及其他钛合金材料的耐磨损性能提供了一种新的解决方法,对提高航空发动机关键零部件的服役性能具有参考意义。 展开更多

采用超声滚压工艺对渗碳+淬回火态20CrNiMo钢试样进行表面强化处理,研究了不同静压力(700,800,900,1000 N)下试样的表面粗糙度、硬度、残余压应力分布以及旋转弯曲疲劳性能。结果表明:超声滚压后,试样的表面粗糙度明显降低,且随着静压... 采用超声滚压工艺对渗碳+淬回火态20CrNiMo钢试样进行表面强化处理,研究了不同静压力(700,800,900,1000 N)下试样的表面粗糙度、硬度、残余压应力分布以及旋转弯曲疲劳性能。结果表明:超声滚压后,试样的表面粗糙度明显降低,且随着静压力的增加呈先降低后增加的趋势,当静压力为900 N时,表面粗糙度R_(a)最低,为0.17μm。超声滚压后,试样的硬度提高,且随着静压力的增加呈升高趋势。超声滚压在试样表层引入梯度分布的残余压应力;随着静压力的增加,残余压应力最大值先增后降,在静压力为900 N时达到最大,为1128 MPa。超声滚压后试样的旋转弯曲疲劳寿命显著提高,且随着静压力的增加先增后降。当静压力为900 N时,疲劳寿命最高,达到697.3×10^(4)周次,此时疲劳裂纹源为单裂纹源,位于次表层。试样表层残余压应力最大值的变化趋势与疲劳寿命具有高度相关性,是影响疲劳寿命的关键因素。 展开更多
