By simplifying the objective function of maximum likelihood estimation, the algorithm can realize sequence synchronization and sequence estimation via adaptive iteration and sliding window. Since it avoids the correlation matrix computation, the algorithm significantly reduces the storage requirement and the computation complexity. Simulations show that it is a fast convergent algorithm, and can perform well in low signal to noise ratio (SNR).展开更多

Two innovative and effective detection statistics are proposed to implement the synchronization and spreading sequence estimation procedure. The proposed algorithm also has a low computational complexity with only linear additions and modifications. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm performs quite well in low SNR environment, and is much better than all the existing typical algorithms with a comprehensive consideration both in performance and computational complexity.展开更多

An anti-interference multiband orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing ultra-wideband (AI-UWB) system, based on spreading and interleaving is addressed. It will exploit the frequency diversity across the subcarriers and provide the robustness to narrow-band interference, by spreading the coded bit streams within each sub-band and interleaving across all sub-bands. Simulating results show that the spreading and interleaving provide about 5 dB to 10 dB advantages over the conventional multiband orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing ultra-wideband system in signal-to-interference ratio. Spreading and interleaving is an effective cure for enhancing the robustness to narrowband interference.展开更多
Combined with the kinetic model of liquid film spreading, a new numerical method of solid-liquid-gas three-phase flow was developed for the moving of contact line, which was a hybrid method of computational fluid dyna...Combined with the kinetic model of liquid film spreading, a new numerical method of solid-liquid-gas three-phase flow was developed for the moving of contact line, which was a hybrid method of computational fluid dynamics and lattice Boltzmalm method (LBM). By taking the effect of molecule force in droplet and the wall surface on liquid film into account, the changing law of contact angle with different surface tensions was analyzed on glass and aluminum foil surfaces. Compared with experimental results, the standard deviation by using LBM is less than 0.5°, which validates the feasibility of LBM simulation on the dynamic process of liquid film spreading. In addition, oscillations are discovered both at the initial and end phases. The phenomenon of retraction is also found and the maximum retraction angle is 7.58°. The obtained result shows that the retraction is proved to be correlative with precursor film by tracking the volume change of liquid film contour. Furthermore, non-dimensional coefficient 2 is introduced to measure the liquid film retraction capacity.展开更多
The problem of two order statistics detection schemes for the detection of a spatially distributed target in white Gaussian noise are studied.When the number of strong scattering cells is known,we first show an optima...The problem of two order statistics detection schemes for the detection of a spatially distributed target in white Gaussian noise are studied.When the number of strong scattering cells is known,we first show an optimal detector,which requires many processing channels.The structure of such optimal detector is complex.Therefore,a simpler quasi-optimal detector is then introduced.The quasi-optimal detector,called the strong scattering cells’ number dependent order statistics(SND-OS) detector,takes the form of an average of maximum strong scattering cells with a known number.If the number of strong scattering cells is unknown in real situation,the multi-channel order statistics(MC-OS) detector is used.In each channel,a various number of maximums scattered from target are averaged.Then,the false alarm probability analysis and thresholds sets for each channel are given,following the detection results presented by means of Monte Carlo simulation strategy based on simulated target model and three measured targets.In particular,the theoretical analysis and simulation results highlight that the MC-OS detector can efficiently detect range-spread targets in white Gaussian noise.展开更多
In this paper,a sparse nonuniform rectangular array based on spatially spread electromagnetic vector sensor(SNRASSEMVS)is introduced,and a method for estimating 2D-direction of arrival(DOA)and polarization is devised....In this paper,a sparse nonuniform rectangular array based on spatially spread electromagnetic vector sensor(SNRASSEMVS)is introduced,and a method for estimating 2D-direction of arrival(DOA)and polarization is devised.Firstly,according to the special structure of the sparse nonuniform rectangular array(SNRA),a set of accurate but ambiguous direction-cosine estimates can be obtained.Then the steering vector of spatially spread electromagnetic vector sensor(SSEMVS)can be extracted from the array manifold to obtain the coarse but unambiguous direction-cosine estimates.Finally,the disambiguation approach can be used to get the final accurate estimates of 2DDOA and polarization.Compared with some existing methods,the SNRA configuration extends the spatial aperture and refines the parameters estimation accuracy without adding any redundant antennas,as well as reduces the mutual coupling effect.Moreover,the proposed algorithm resolves multiple sources without the priori knowledge of signal information,suffers no ambiguity in the estimation of the Poynting vector,and pairs the x-axis direction cosine with the y-axis direction cosine automatically.Simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm.展开更多
To reveal the potential effect of surfactant on improving surface wettability of copper ore,the droplet spreading behavior of sulfuric acid solution contained surfactant was visualized using high-speed camera and an i...To reveal the potential effect of surfactant on improving surface wettability of copper ore,the droplet spreading behavior of sulfuric acid solution contained surfactant was visualized using high-speed camera and an image processing method,and the solid-liquid interaction was discussed in this study.The results show that liquid surface tension and ore surface roughness are the main factors affecting surface wettability.The effect of sulfuric acid solution concentration and surfactants on the surface wettability of ore is revealed via quantitative spreading area,spreading coefficient,and contact angle.The results of droplet spreading experiment show that the higher concentration of surfactant and sulfuric acid solution result in improving the wettability of ore,spreading coefficient,and decreasing contact angle.The“leaching reaction coefficient”and“surface activity coefficient”are introduced to modify the mathematical expression of the equilibrium contact angle.展开更多

文摘To suppress the interference in the ultra-wideband (AI-UWB) system is a challenging problem.
