For validating the numerical method, the shock-tube problem with exact solution is computed, and the computed results agree well with the exact cases. Then, several cases with higher incident Mach numbers varying from 2.0 to 5.0 are simulated. Simulation results show that complicated flow-field structures of toroidal shock wave diffraction, reflection, and focusing in a co-axial cylindrical shock tube can be obtained at different incident Mach numbers and the numerical solutions appear steep gradients near the focusing point, which illustrates the DG method has higher accuracy and better resolution near the discontinuous point. Different means of aerodynamic actuation, such as variations of the distance between discharge channels, the number of discharge channels, the DC discharge voltage, the angle of ramp, and the application of magnetic field, in a supersonic flow of M = 2.2 are employed. Results of both the schlieren and pressure test indicated that when the plasma aerodynamic actuation is applied, the starting point of the shock wave was shifted 1 mm to 8 mm upstream on average, the shock wave angle was reduced 470 to 8% on average, and the shock wave intensity was decreased by 8% to 26%. The local plasma aerodynamic actuation could generate an extrusive plasma layer with high temperature and pressure. This plasma layer caused an upstream-shift of the separating point of the boundary layer. which changed the structure of the original shock wave. Moreover, in a simulation study, the plasma aerodynamic actuation was simplified as a thermal source term added to the Navier-Stokes equations, after all, the results obtained showed consistency with the experimental results.展开更多

The results show that in the case of a target surface set at the off-focus position, the condition of the focal point behind or in front of the target surface greatly influences the evolution of an Al plasma shock wave, and an ionization channel forms in the case of the focal point set in front of the target surface. Moreover, it is found that the shadowgraph with the evolution time around 100 ns shows that a protrusion appears at the front tip of the shock wave if the focal point is at the target surface. In addition, the calculated results of the expanding velocity of the shock wave front, the mass density, and pressure just behind the shock wave front are presented based on the shadowgraphs.展开更多

The mechanical effects of the plasma shock wave on the target are analysed at different distances from focus and the air pressure.
文摘A numerical method is presented that simulates 3D explosive field problems. A code MMIC3D using this method can be used to simulate the propagation and reflected effects of all kinds of rigid boundaries to shock waves produced by an explosive source. These numerical results indicate that the code MMIC3D has the ability in computing cases such as 3D shock waves produced by air explosion, vortex region of the shock wave, the Mach wave, and reflected waves behind rigid boundaries.
文摘The present study focuses on the mitigation of shock wave using novel geometric passages in the flow field. The strategy is to produce multiple shock reflections and diffractions in the passage with minimum flow obstruction, which in turn is expected to reduce the shock wave strength at the target location. In the present study the interaction of a plane shock front(generated from a shock tube)with various geometric designs such as,1)zig-zag geometric passage,2)staggered cylindrical obstructions and 3)zigzag passage with cylindrical obstructions have been investigated using computational technique. It is seen from the numerical simulation that, among the various designs, the maximum shock attenuation is produced by the zig-zag passage with cylindrical obstructions which is then followed by zig-zag passage and staggered cylindrical obstructions.A comprehensive investigation on the shock wave reflection and diffraction phenomena happening in the proposed complex passages have also been carried out.In the new zig-zag design, the initial shock wave undergoes shock wave reflection and diffraction process which swaps alternatively as the shock front moves from one turn to the other turn. This cyclic shock reflection and diffraction process helps in diffusing the shock wave energy with practically no obstruction to the flow field. It is found that by combining the shock attenuation ability of zig-zag passage(using shock reflection and diffraction)with the shock attenuation ability of cylindrical blocks(by flow obstruction),a drastic attenuation in shock strength can be achieved with moderate level of flow blocking.
文摘Influence of the shock wave on the turbulence in a supersonic nozzle was investigated for a SF6 puffer circuit breaker interruption process. Turbulence is enlarged through the shock wave. Baroclinic generation of vortex causes flow separation and broadening of the arc cross section. V-I characteristics are slightly modified due to the shock wave's influence.

文摘In order to study the propagation law of shock waves and gas flow during coal and gas outburst,we analyzed the formation process of outburst shock waves and gas flow and established the numerical simulation models of the roadways with 45°intersection and 135°intersection to simulate the propagation of outburst gas flow and the process of gas transport.Based on the analysis of the simulation results,we obtained the qualitative and quantitative conclusions on the characteristics and patterns of propagation and attenuation of outburst shock waves and gas flow. With the experimental models,we investigated the outburst shock waves and gas flow in the roadways with the similar structures to the simulated ones.According to the simulation results, when the angle between the driving roadway and the adjacent roadway increased, the sudden pressure variation range in adjacent roadway and the influencing scope of gas flow increased and the sudden pressure variation duration decreased. The intersection between the driving roadway and the adjacent roadway has no effect on airflow reversal induced by the shock waves and gas flow.
文摘The basic properties of dust-ion-acoustic (DIA) shock waves in an unmagnetized dusty plasma (containing inertial ions, kappa distributed electrons with two distinct temperatures, and negatively charged immobile dust grains) are investi- gated both numerically and analytically. The hydrodynamic equation for inertial ions has been used to derive the Burgers equation. The effects of superthermal bi-kappa electrons and ion kinematic viscosity, which are found to modify the basic features of DIA shock waves significantly, are briefly discussed.
文摘To investigate the shock wave characteristics of RDX-based aluminized explosives, air blast tests were conducted for measuring the parameters of 10 kg aluminized explosives which contained 0-40% aluminum. The results showed that with the increasing of aluminum content, the overpressures and impulses increase at first and then decrease within 7 m or 5 m,which reached the maximum when aluminum content was 20% or 30%.Power exponential formulas are used to fit the shock wave parameters vs scaled distance, where an equal weight of TNT is used to calculate the scaled distance. The overpressures of HL0 and TNT in tested locations not only conform to the similar law,but also conform to the same attenuation law after gaining the scaled distances of equal TNT mass. The pre-exponential factors of overpressure and impulse,kp and kI,decrease along with the increasing of Al content and keep the same pace as the calculated PCJ).The attenuation coefficients a_P and aIincrease at first and decrease later with the increasing of aluminum content, and they reached the maximal values with30% Al containing, which keeps the same pace as the calculated QV.
文摘The power field of shock waves and fragments is analyzed and set up, and the damage modes of stiffened plates are put forward. According to the structural characters of the stiffened plates investigated and the properties of the shock waves and fragments, the experiments on the shock waves acting on the stiffened plates (penetrated and non-penetrated by fragments) are mainly conducted. The dynamic response rules of stiffened plates with holes under shock waves and fragments loading are obtained. The results show that the penetration of fragments into stiffened plates hardly affects their deformation produced by shock waves..

文摘The evolution of shock waves produced by 7 ns laser pulses in air is investigated by time-resolved shadowgraph. A nodular structure of the shock wave is observed. It is found that the origin of the structure is the multi-longitudinal- microfocus caused by the astigmatism of the laser beam. The spherical shock waves formed by each microfocus expand gradually and collide with each other, resulting in the nodular structure of the shock wave.
