The technology of aluminum/copper clad composite fabricated by casting-cold extrusion was simulated by DEFORM software using tubes with four arc grooves. The stress and strain in different deformation zones were analyzed. The groove size reduces gradually and the groove shape drives to triangle during the extrusion procedure. The maximum values of equivalent effective stress and radial stress appear in groove zones, and the maximum equivalent effective strain firstly is obtained also in groove zones. The grain size in groove zones is less than that in other zones. The experimental results are consistent with simulation results, which prove that the copper tubes with sketch section are favorable to the metallurgy bond of boundary interface between aluminum and copper.展开更多
A number of geological cross\|sections from the western Himalayan foothills are based on field,seismic reflection,and well data of the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation India.These cross\|sections have been described ...A number of geological cross\|sections from the western Himalayan foothills are based on field,seismic reflection,and well data of the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation India.These cross\|sections have been described by two contradictory interpretations.The first interpretation that depicts a prominent basal decollement above the pre\|Tertiary sequence is used for palinspastic reconstruction,using line length balancing,and determination of total shortening in the area.The second interpretation reveals a large variation in the thickness of individual stratigraphic horizons and a number of flower structures.These flower structures never cut the Himalayan thrusts but terminate below them.Away from the thrusts,the faults cut the younger Siwalik molasse (Middle Miocene—Pleistocene)and even reach to the surface as strike slip faults.Apart from the presence of strike slip faults,the other constraints for restoration of the section is oblique ramp structure at the Kangra Reentrant (or Punjab Reentrant).The oblique ramp was formed as a normal fault during the tensional regime in the region and later reactivated as thrust fault during the Tertiary Himalayan orogeny.These features reveal that the assumption of plane strain deformation is not valid for the region.Furthermore,the amount of extension during pre\|Tertiary rifting and layer parallel shortening during the Tertiary compressional phase is still unknown hence balancing of the sections is problematic.展开更多

Due to the number of walls in plan and reduction in lateral force portion, this system is not only stronger against earthqu...Reinforced concrete(RC) load bearing wall is widely used in high-rise and mid-rise buildings. Due to the number of walls in plan and reduction in lateral force portion, this system is not only stronger against earthquakes, but also more economical. The effect of progressive collapse caused by removal of load bearing elements, in various positions in plan and stories of the RC load bearing wall system was evaluated by nonlinear dynamic and static analyses. For this purpose, three-dimensional model of 10-story structure was selected. The analysis results indicated stability, strength and stiffness of the RC load-bearing wall system against progressive collapse. It was observed that the most critical condition for removal of load bearing walls was the instantaneous removal of the surrounding walls located at the corners of the building where the sections of the load bearing elements were changed. In this case, the maximum vertical displacement was limited to 6.3 mm and the structure failed after applying the load of 10 times the axial load bored by removed elements. Comparison between the results of the nonlinear dynamic and static analyses demonstrated that the "load factor" parameter was a reasonable criterion to evaluate the progressive collapse potential of the structure.展开更多

The sections were stained with H.E., PAS-ab and Keratin, and c...This paper discussed 378 cases of lung cancer which were identified pathologically in the thoracic department of China Medical University from 1980~1986. The sections were stained with H.E., PAS-ab and Keratin, and compared with sections of 131 cases of lung cancer being confirmed beforehand from 1978~1984. Chinese cases showed epidermoid carcinoma 165 (male 146), adenocarcinoma 136(male 82), small cell carcinoma 29 (male 21), large cell carcinoma 19 (male 15) and the others 29 (male 27); Japanese cases were 59(50), 53(25), 3 (2), 11(10), 3(0) respectively. The cases under 40 years of age were 23(6.1%) in China, 3(2.3%)in Japan. Both of them have similar character of histology. But the incidence of lung cancer in youth is higher in China.展开更多

The growth dynamics of fruit showed that the two cultivars performed similar changes with their fresh weight volume and structure, it included the first slow growth stage, the rapid growth stage and the second solw growth stage. The fruit was a typical polyachene with a ovule which belonged to a Poligonum type, the growth process of pollen tube from stigma to embryo sac was clearly observed by flourescence microscopy. Embryo development was similar to that of most dicotyls, and the mature embryo was orthotropous; Endosperm development was a nuclear type, and gradually disappeared with development:Seed coat consisted of 34 layer cells, and pericarp was composed of 68 layer cells which differentiated from ovary wall cell; The structure of receptacle was a typical stem which consisted of epidermis ,cortex and vascular cylinder. Pressure measur...In this study, experiments were carried out to investigate aerodynamic characteristics of a high-speed train on viaducts in turbulent crosswinds using a 1:25 scaled sectional model wind-tunnel testing. Pressure measurements of two typical sections, one train-head section and one train-body section, at the windward and leeward tracks were conducted under the smooth and turbulence flows with wind attack angles between-6° and 6°, and the corresponding aerodynamic force coefficients were also calculated using the integral method. The experimental results indicate that the track position affects the mean aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle, especially for the train-body section. The fluctuating pressure coefficients at the leeward track are more significantly affected by the bridge interference compared to those at the windward track. The effect of turbulence on the train-head section is less than that on the train-body section. Additionally, the mean aerodynamic force coefficients are almost negatively correlated to wind attack angles, which is more prominent for vehicles at the leeward track. Moreover, the lateral force plays a critical role in determining the corresponding overturning moment, especially on the train-body section.展开更多

However, the interaction among tunnels has important influences on the security and economy of tunnel engineering, and the calculation of pressure from the surrounding rock during the excavation is one of the problems that need to be solved urgently. Based on the practical engineering of three tunnels, the load model of three tunnels was proposed in consideration of the interaction and excavation sequence between tunnels. In comparison with the load model of single tunnel, the construction mechanical characteristics of the three tunnels were analyzed. The results show that the rock pressure of three tunnels calculated by the current tunnel design code is not reliable, and the interaction force increases with the spacing between tunnels.展开更多
