The present technical paper outlines the details of the controlled blasting techniques used to optimize blasting pattern for excavation of hard rock near the Bhira Earthen Dam in Maharashtra,India.In this connection,a...The present technical paper outlines the details of the controlled blasting techniques used to optimize blasting pattern for excavation of hard rock near the Bhira Earthen Dam in Maharashtra,India.In this connection,a series of experimental blasts were conducted by adjusting various blast design parameters at project site.The safe charge weight per delay was kept between 0.125 and 0.375 kg.The outcomes of these experimental blasts were analyzed to recommend optimized blasting patterns and methods for the overall excavation process during actual blasting operations.Blast design parameters,including the maximum quantity of explosive per delay,hole depth,burden and spacing between holes were optimized by using a site-specific attenuation equation,taking into account the proximity of the dam and tunnel from the blasting area.Peak particle velocity(PPV)level of 10 mm/s and 50 mm/s respectively were adopted as the safe vibration level for ensuring safety of the Bhira Earthen Dam and the nearby tunnel from the adverse effects of blast vibrations by analyzing the dominant frequency of ground vibrations observed and also by reviewing various international standards.Frequency of the ground vibrations observed on the dam and tunnel from majority of the blasts was found to be more than 10 Hz and 50 Hz respectively.During the entire period of blasting,the blast vibrations were recorded to be far lower than the safe vibration level set for these structures.Maximum Vibration level of about 0.8 mm/s and 35 mm/s were observed on dam and tunnel respectively which are far lower than the safe vibration level adopted for these structures.Hence,the entire excavation work was completed successfully and safely,without endangering the safety of dam or tunnel.展开更多
The special columnar jointed structure endows rocks with significant anisotropy,accurately grasping the strength and deformation properties of a columnar jointed rock mass(CJRM)under complex geological conditions is c...The special columnar jointed structure endows rocks with significant anisotropy,accurately grasping the strength and deformation properties of a columnar jointed rock mass(CJRM)under complex geological conditions is crucial for related engineering safety.Combined with the irregular jointed networks observed in the field,artificial irregular CJRM(ICJRM)samples with various inclination angles were prepared for triaxial tests.The results showed that the increase in confining pressure can enhance the ability of the ICJRM to resist deformation and failure,and reduce the deformation and strength anisotropic degrees.Considering the field stress situation,the engineering parts with an inclination angle of 30°−45°need to be taken seriously.Four typical failure modes were identified,and the sample with an inclination angle of 15°showed the same failure behavior as the field CJRM.Traditional and improved joint factor methods were used to establish empirical relationships for predicting the strength and deformation of CJRM under triaxial stress.Since the improved joint factor method can reflect the unique structure of CJRM,the predictive ability of the empirical relationship based on the improved method is better than that based on the traditional joint factor method.展开更多

Low strain rate experiments(0.0002, 0.002 and 0.02 s^(-1)) were conducted using an electronic mechanical universal testing machine, while high strain rate experiments(1000, 3000 s^(-1)) were carried out through a split Hopkinson tensile bar. The experimental results showed that 7N01 aluminum alloy is strain rate sensitive. By introducing a correction scheme of the strain rate hardening coefficient, a modified Johnson–Cook model was proposed to describe the flow behaviors of 7N01 aluminum alloy. The proposed model fitted the experimental data better than the original Johnson–Cook model in plastic flow under dynamic condition. Numerical simulations of the dynamic tensile tests were performed using ABAQUS with the modified Johnson–Cook model. Digital image correlation was used together with high-speed photography to study the mechanical characters of specimen at high strain rate. Good correlations between the experiments results, numerical predictions and DIC results are achieved. High accuracy of the modified Johnson-Cook model was validated.展开更多

A systematic and generic procedure for the determination of the reasonable finished state of self-anchored suspension bridges is proposed, the realization of which is mainly through adjustment of the hanger tensions. ...A systematic and generic procedure for the determination of the reasonable finished state of self-anchored suspension bridges is proposed, the realization of which is mainly through adjustment of the hanger tensions. The initial hanger tensions are first obtained through an iterative analysis by combining the girder-tower-only finite element(FE) model with the analytical program for shape finding of the spatial cable system. These initial hanger tensions, together with the corresponding cable coordinates and internal forces, are then included into the FE model of the total bridge system, the nonlinear analysis of which involves the optimization technique. Calculations are repeated until the optimization algorithm converges to the most optimal hanger tensions(i.e. the desired reasonable finished bridge state). The "temperature rigid arm" is introduced to offset the unavoidable initial deformations of the girder and tower, which are due to the huge axial forces originated from the main cable. Moreover, by changing the stiffness coefficient K in the girder-tower-only FE model, the stiffness proportion of the main girder, the tower or the cable subsystem in the whole structural system could be adjusted according to the design intentions. The effectiveness of the proposed method is examined and demonstrated by one simple tutorial example and one self-anchored suspension bridge.展开更多
Compared with the conventionally gaseous or liquid working media,the specific internal energy of supercritical carbon dioxide(SCD)is higher at the same temperature and pressure,and the critical temperature of carbon d...Compared with the conventionally gaseous or liquid working media,the specific internal energy of supercritical carbon dioxide(SCD)is higher at the same temperature and pressure,and the critical temperature of carbon dioxide is close to room temperature,making SCD a potential new working medium for pneumatic launch.To analyze the feasibility of this conception,an analytical model of a pneumatic catapult is established on basis of the conservations of mass and energy.The model consists of a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber connected by multiple valves,and there is a movable piston in the low-pressure chamber that can push an aircraft to accelerate.The effects of the launch readiness state of SCD in the high-pressure chamber,the initial volume of the low-pressure chamber and the valve control on the movement of the aircraft are analyzed.It is found that there is a restrictive relation between the temperature and pressure of the launch readiness state of SCD,i.e.,there is a maximum allowable launch readiness pressure when the launch readiness temperature is fixed.If this restrictive relation is not satisfied,the working medium in the low-pressure chamber will drop to its triple point within a few milliseconds,leading to a launch failure.Owing to this restrictive relation,there is an optimal launch readiness state of SCD with the highest working capacity for any allowable launch readiness temperature.The pressure of the low-pressure chamber will decrease significantly as the initial volume increases,leading to a decreased acceleration of the aircraft.The acceleration can be controlled below a critical value by a designed sequential blasting technique of multiple valves.The calculated results show that a 500 kg aircraft can be accelerated from 0 to 58 m/s in 0.9 s with 36 kg of carbon dioxide.This research provides a new technique for the controllable cold launch of an aircraft.展开更多

When the principles,requirements, influencing factors and goals of military material support forces are deployed in wartime, an evaluation indicator system is established. Thus, a new combined empowerment method based on an analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is developed to calculate the subjective weights, and the rough entropy method is used to calculate the objective weights. Combination weights can be obtained by calculating the weight preference coefficient error, which is determined by combining the cooperative game method and the minimum deviation into objectives. This approach can determine the grey relation projection coefficient and synthesize the measure scheme superiority to finally optimize the deployment plan using the grey relation projection decision-making method. The results show that the method is feasible and effective;it can provide a more scientific and practical decision-making basis for the military material support power deployment in wartime.展开更多
There are abundant Bajocian—Tithonian bivalves in the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains of northern Qinghai—Xizang Plateau, China. After figuring the common and coeval species between Tanggula and other areas (Fi...There are abundant Bajocian—Tithonian bivalves in the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains of northern Qinghai—Xizang Plateau, China. After figuring the common and coeval species between Tanggula and other areas (Fig. 1), and tracing the temporal and spacial historical distribution of the bivalves very capable of dispersion, some Jurassic bivalve biogeographic items, particularly the biogeographic relations, have been lit up. In the known 21 taxa of the Jurassic Pectinoida and Ostreoida from the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains, there are 12 (57%) common and coeval species in northern Tethys, 13 (62%) common and coeval species in southern Tethys and 12 (57%) in Kachchh—southern Xizang area. It has demonstrated that there existed intermigration of bivalves between Tanggula and various parts of Tethys. Although there is no coeval species between Tanggula and western Australia, in these two areas there exist 6 (29%) close range common species of which 4 (19%) coevaity existed in western Australia and India Plate. Tanggula fauna is, therefore, still very close to that of western Australia. However, there are 15 (71%) common and 14 (67%) coevality species between the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains and northwestern Europe, among the common species, 8 (38%) ones have lower limitation (first occurrence) in northwestern Europe but only 2 (10%) taxa are older in the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains. It is very clear that pectinite and ostrea fauna of Tethys, particularly the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains and Europe had very close relation and most Tanggula’s or northern Tethyan taxa migrated from northwestern Europe.展开更多

Finally, the DSF model is verified through a real-world driving experiment. Results show that the DSF model is consistent with driver's hazard perception and more sensitive than TTC. Moreover, the proposed DSF model offers a novel way for criticality assessment and decision-making of advanced driver assistance systems and intelligent connected vehicles.展开更多

Determining the similarity degree between process models was very important for their management,reuse,and analysis.Current approaches either focused on process model's structural aspect,or had inefficiency or imp...Determining the similarity degree between process models was very important for their management,reuse,and analysis.Current approaches either focused on process model's structural aspect,or had inefficiency or imprecision in behavioral similarity.Aiming at these problems,a novel similarity measure which extended an existing method named Transition Adjacent Relation(TAR) with improved precision and efficiency named TAR * was proposed.The ability of measuring similarity was extended by eliminating the duplicate tasks without impacting the behaviors.For precision,TARs was classified into repeatable and unrepeatable ones to identify whether a TAR was involved in a loop.Two new kinds of TARs were added,one related to the invisible tasks after the source place and before sink place,and the other representing implicit dependencies.For efficiency,all TARs based on unfolding instead of its reach ability graph of a labeled Petri net were calculated to avoid state space explosion.Experiments on artificial and real-world process models showed the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.展开更多
In order to enhance catalytic combustion efficiency, a premixed hydrogen /air combustion model of the micro turbine engine is established under different excess air ratio, inlet velocity and heat transfer coefficient....In order to enhance catalytic combustion efficiency, a premixed hydrogen /air combustion model of the micro turbine engine is established under different excess air ratio, inlet velocity and heat transfer coefficient. And effects of inlet velocity, excess air coefficient and heat transfer coefficient on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen have been analyzed by the FLUENT with CHEMKIN reaction mechanisms and the fuzzy grey relation theory. It is showed that inlet velocity has a more intuitive influence on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen. A higher efficiency can be obtained with a lower inlet velocity. The optimum excess air coefficient is in the range of 0.94 to 1.0, the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen will be declined if the excess air coefficient exceeded 1.0. The effect of heat transfer coefficient on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen mainly embodies in the case of the excess air coefficient exceeded 1.0, however, the effect will be declined if the heat transfer coefficient exceeded 4.0. The fuzzy grey relation degrees of the inlet velocity, heat transfer coefficient and excess air coefficient on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen are 0.640945, 0.633214 and 0.547892 respectively.展开更多

In such a case,...With a focus on an industrial multivariable system, two subsystems including the flow and the level outputs are analysed and controlled, which have applicability in both real and academic environments. In such a case, at first, each subsystem is distinctively represented by its model, since the outcomes point out that the chosen models have the same behavior as corresponding ones. Then, the industrial multivariable system and its presentation are achieved in line with the integration of these subsystems, since the interaction between them can not actually be ignored. To analyze the interaction presented, the Gershgorin bands need to be acquired, where the results are used to modify the system parameters to appropriate values. Subsequently, in the view of modeling results, the control concept in two different techniques including sequential loop closing control(SLCC) scheme and diagonal dominance control(DDC) schemes is proposed to implement on the system through the Profibus network, as long as the OPC(OLE for process control) server is utilized to communicate between the control schemes presented and the multivariable system. The real test scenarios are carried out and the corresponding outcomes in their present forms are acquired. In the same way, the proposed control schemes results are compared with each other, where the real consequences verify the validity of them in the field of the presented industrial multivariable system control.展开更多
It is generally believed that intelligent management for sewage treatment plants(STPs) is essential to the sustainable engineering of future smart cities.The core of management lies in the precise prediction of daily ...It is generally believed that intelligent management for sewage treatment plants(STPs) is essential to the sustainable engineering of future smart cities.The core of management lies in the precise prediction of daily volumes of sewage.The generation of sewage is the result of multiple factors from the whole social system.Characterized by strong process abstraction ability,data mining techniques have been viewed as promising prediction methods to realize intelligent STP management.However,existing data mining-based methods for this purpose just focus on a single factor such as an economical or meteorological factor and ignore their collaborative effects.To address this challenge,a deep learning-based intelligent management mechanism for STPs is proposed,to predict business volume.Specifically,the grey relation algorithm(GRA) and gated recursive unit network(GRU) are combined into a prediction model(GRAGRU).The GRA is utilized to select the factors that have a significant impact on the sewage business volume,and the GRU is set up to output the prediction results.We conducted a large number of experiments to verify the efficiency of the proposed GRA-GRU model.展开更多

Processing map is generated and indicated the optimum processing parameters in the temperature range of 1125℃-1200℃ and strain rate range of 0.001 e0.1 s^(-1). High values of the efficiency of power dissipation, microstructural observations and EBSD results indicate softening mechanism to be the occurrence of dynamic recrystallisation. Material constants in a constitutive relation are evaluated from the flow stress data useful in computer modelling.展开更多

The "temperature rigid arm" is introduced to offset the unavoidable initial deformations of the girder and tower, which are due to the huge axial forces originated from the main cable. Moreover, by changing the stiffness coefficient K in the girder-tower-only FE model, the stiffness proportion of the main girder, the tower or the cable subsystem in the whole structural system could be adjusted according to the design intentions. The effectiveness of the proposed method is examined and demonstrated by one simple tutorial example and one self-anchored suspension bridge.

文摘Compared with the conventionally gaseous or liquid working media,the specific internal energy of supercritical carbon dioxide(SCD)is higher at the same temperature and pressure,and the critical temperature of carbon dioxide is close to room temperature,making SCD a potential new working medium for pneumatic launch.To analyze the feasibility of this conception,an analytical model of a pneumatic catapult is established on basis of the conservations of mass and energy.The model consists of a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber connected by multiple valves,and there is a movable piston in the low-pressure chamber that can push an aircraft to accelerate.The effects of the launch readiness state of SCD in the high-pressure chamber,the initial volume of the low-pressure chamber and the valve control on the movement of the aircraft are analyzed.It is found that there is a restrictive relation between the temperature and pressure of the launch readiness state of SCD,i.e.,there is a maximum allowable launch readiness pressure when the launch readiness temperature is fixed.If this restrictive relation is not satisfied,the working medium in the low-pressure chamber will drop to its triple point within a few milliseconds,leading to a launch failure.Owing to this restrictive relation,there is an optimal launch readiness state of SCD with the highest working capacity for any allowable launch readiness temperature.The pressure of the low-pressure chamber will decrease significantly as the initial volume increases,leading to a decreased acceleration of the aircraft.The acceleration can be controlled below a critical value by a designed sequential blasting technique of multiple valves.The calculated results show that a 500 kg aircraft can be accelerated from 0 to 58 m/s in 0.9 s with 36 kg of carbon dioxide.This research provides a new technique for the controllable cold launch of an aircraft.

文摘Using S-rough sets, this paper gives the concepts off-heredity knowledge and its heredity coefficient, and f-variation coefficient of knowledge; presents the theorem of f-attribute dependence of variation coefficient and the relation theorem of heredity-variation. The attribute dependence of f-variation coefficient and the relation of heredity-variation are important characteristics of S-rough sets. From such discussion, this paper puts forward the heredity mining off-knowledge and the algorithm of heredity mining, also gives its relative application.
文摘Multi-attribute decision problems where the performances of the alternatives are random variables are considered. The suggested approach grades the probabilities of preference of one alternative over another with respect to the same attribute. Based on the graded probabilistic dominance relation, the pairwise comparison information table is defined. The global preferences of the decision maker can be seen as a rough binary relation. The present paper proposes to approximate this preference relation by means of the graded probabilistic dominance relation with respect to the subsets of attributes. At last, the method is illustrated by an example.

文摘In military service joint operations, when there are more operational forces, more multifarious materials are consumed, the support is more complex and fuzzy, the deployment of personnel is more rapid, and the support provided by wartime military material support powers can be more effective. When the principles,requirements, influencing factors and goals of military material support forces are deployed in wartime, an evaluation indicator system is established. Thus, a new combined empowerment method based on an analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is developed to calculate the subjective weights, and the rough entropy method is used to calculate the objective weights. Combination weights can be obtained by calculating the weight preference coefficient error, which is determined by combining the cooperative game method and the minimum deviation into objectives. This approach can determine the grey relation projection coefficient and synthesize the measure scheme superiority to finally optimize the deployment plan using the grey relation projection decision-making method. The results show that the method is feasible and effective;it can provide a more scientific and practical decision-making basis for the military material support power deployment in wartime.
文摘There are abundant Bajocian—Tithonian bivalves in the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains of northern Qinghai—Xizang Plateau, China. After figuring the common and coeval species between Tanggula and other areas (Fig. 1), and tracing the temporal and spacial historical distribution of the bivalves very capable of dispersion, some Jurassic bivalve biogeographic items, particularly the biogeographic relations, have been lit up. In the known 21 taxa of the Jurassic Pectinoida and Ostreoida from the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains, there are 12 (57%) common and coeval species in northern Tethys, 13 (62%) common and coeval species in southern Tethys and 12 (57%) in Kachchh—southern Xizang area. It has demonstrated that there existed intermigration of bivalves between Tanggula and various parts of Tethys. Although there is no coeval species between Tanggula and western Australia, in these two areas there exist 6 (29%) close range common species of which 4 (19%) coevaity existed in western Australia and India Plate. Tanggula fauna is, therefore, still very close to that of western Australia. However, there are 15 (71%) common and 14 (67%) coevality species between the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains and northwestern Europe, among the common species, 8 (38%) ones have lower limitation (first occurrence) in northwestern Europe but only 2 (10%) taxa are older in the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains. It is very clear that pectinite and ostrea fauna of Tethys, particularly the main ridge of the Tanggula Mountains and Europe had very close relation and most Tanggula’s or northern Tethyan taxa migrated from northwestern Europe.

文摘Driving safety field(DSF) model has been proposed to represent comprehensive driving risk formed by interactions of driver-vehicle-road in mixed traffic environment. In this work, we establish an optimization model based on grey relation degree analysis to calibrate risk coefficients of DSF model. To solve the optimum solution, a genetic algorithm is employed. Finally, the DSF model is verified through a real-world driving experiment. Results show that the DSF model is consistent with driver's hazard perception and more sensitive than TTC. Moreover, the proposed DSF model offers a novel way for criticality assessment and decision-making of advanced driver assistance systems and intelligent connected vehicles.

文摘For the gray attributes of the equipment program and its difficulty to carry out the quantitative assessment of the equipment program information, the gray relation projection method is simply reviewed. Combining the super-data envelopment analysis(DEA) model and the gray system theory, a new super-DEA for measuring the weight is proposed, and a gray relation projection model is established to rank the equipment programs. Finally, this approach is used to evaluate the equipment program. The results are verified valid and can provide a new way for evaluating the equipment program.

文摘Determining the similarity degree between process models was very important for their management,reuse,and analysis.Current approaches either focused on process model's structural aspect,or had inefficiency or imprecision in behavioral similarity.Aiming at these problems,a novel similarity measure which extended an existing method named Transition Adjacent Relation(TAR) with improved precision and efficiency named TAR * was proposed.The ability of measuring similarity was extended by eliminating the duplicate tasks without impacting the behaviors.For precision,TARs was classified into repeatable and unrepeatable ones to identify whether a TAR was involved in a loop.Two new kinds of TARs were added,one related to the invisible tasks after the source place and before sink place,and the other representing implicit dependencies.For efficiency,all TARs based on unfolding instead of its reach ability graph of a labeled Petri net were calculated to avoid state space explosion.Experiments on artificial and real-world process models showed the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

文摘In order to enhance catalytic combustion efficiency, a premixed hydrogen /air combustion model of the micro turbine engine is established under different excess air ratio, inlet velocity and heat transfer coefficient. And effects of inlet velocity, excess air coefficient and heat transfer coefficient on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen have been analyzed by the FLUENT with CHEMKIN reaction mechanisms and the fuzzy grey relation theory. It is showed that inlet velocity has a more intuitive influence on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen. A higher efficiency can be obtained with a lower inlet velocity. The optimum excess air coefficient is in the range of 0.94 to 1.0, the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen will be declined if the excess air coefficient exceeded 1.0. The effect of heat transfer coefficient on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen mainly embodies in the case of the excess air coefficient exceeded 1.0, however, the effect will be declined if the heat transfer coefficient exceeded 4.0. The fuzzy grey relation degrees of the inlet velocity, heat transfer coefficient and excess air coefficient on the catalytic combustion efficiency of the hydrogen are 0.640945, 0.633214 and 0.547892 respectively.
文摘With a focus on an industrial multivariable system, two subsystems including the flow and the level outputs are analysed and controlled, which have applicability in both real and academic environments. In such a case, at first, each subsystem is distinctively represented by its model, since the outcomes point out that the chosen models have the same behavior as corresponding ones. Then, the industrial multivariable system and its presentation are achieved in line with the integration of these subsystems, since the interaction between them can not actually be ignored. To analyze the interaction presented, the Gershgorin bands need to be acquired, where the results are used to modify the system parameters to appropriate values. Subsequently, in the view of modeling results, the control concept in two different techniques including sequential loop closing control(SLCC) scheme and diagonal dominance control(DDC) schemes is proposed to implement on the system through the Profibus network, as long as the OPC(OLE for process control) server is utilized to communicate between the control schemes presented and the multivariable system. The real test scenarios are carried out and the corresponding outcomes in their present forms are acquired. In the same way, the proposed control schemes results are compared with each other, where the real consequences verify the validity of them in the field of the presented industrial multivariable system control.

文摘It is generally believed that intelligent management for sewage treatment plants(STPs) is essential to the sustainable engineering of future smart cities.The core of management lies in the precise prediction of daily volumes of sewage.The generation of sewage is the result of multiple factors from the whole social system.Characterized by strong process abstraction ability,data mining techniques have been viewed as promising prediction methods to realize intelligent STP management.However,existing data mining-based methods for this purpose just focus on a single factor such as an economical or meteorological factor and ignore their collaborative effects.To address this challenge,a deep learning-based intelligent management mechanism for STPs is proposed,to predict business volume.Specifically,the grey relation algorithm(GRA) and gated recursive unit network(GRU) are combined into a prediction model(GRAGRU).The GRA is utilized to select the factors that have a significant impact on the sewage business volume,and the GRU is set up to output the prediction results.We conducted a large number of experiments to verify the efficiency of the proposed GRA-GRU model.

文摘Experimental evidence has indicated that clay exhibits strain-softening response under undrained compression following anisotropic consolidation.The purpose of this work was to propose a modeling method under critical state theory of soil mechanics.Based on experimental data on different types of clay,a simple double-surface model was developed considering explicitly the location of critical state by incorporating the density state into constitutive equations.The model was then used to simulate undrained triaxial compression tests performed on isotropically and anisotropically consolidated samples with different stress ratios.The predictions were compared with experimental results.All simulations demonstrate that the proposed approach is capable of describing the drained and undrained compression behaviors following isotropic and anisotropic consolidations.
文摘This paper presents isothermal uniaxial compression test results of M300 grade maraging steel over a wide range of temperatures(900 e1200℃) and strain rates(0.001 e100 s^(-1)) to examine hot deformability and concurrent microstructural evolution. Processing map is generated and indicated the optimum processing parameters in the temperature range of 1125℃-1200℃ and strain rate range of 0.001 e0.1 s^(-1). High values of the efficiency of power dissipation, microstructural observations and EBSD results indicate softening mechanism to be the occurrence of dynamic recrystallisation. Material constants in a constitutive relation are evaluated from the flow stress data useful in computer modelling.
