In order to investigate the effect of additives and nano-particle on the surface tensions of lithium bromide(Li Br) aqueous solution/ammonia, many experiments were carried out based on Wilhelmy plate method. Firstly, the surface tension of Li Br aqueous solution with 1-octanol was measured and then the comparison between the measured results and previous experimental results was given to verify the measuring accuracy. Some new additives, such as cationic surfactants cetyltrimethyl ammonium chloride(CTAC), and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) were chosen in the experiments. The experimental results show that CTAC and CTAB can obviously reduce the surface tension of Li Br aqueous solution/ammonia. In addition, it is found that nano-particles cannot remarkably decrease the surface tension of Li Br aqueous solution/ammonia. However, the mixed addition of additives and nano-particles can remarkably affect the surface tension of Li Br aqueous solution/ammonia. That is to say, additives play more important role in reducing the surface tension of Li Br aqueous solution/ammonia. But nano-particles may enhance the heat transfer in the absorption refrigeration process. 展开更多

Ni-W-P composite coatings reinforced by Ce O2 and Si O2 nano-particles on the surface of common carbon steels, were prepared by double pulse electrodeposition. The crystallization course was characterized by phase structures, crystallinity, grain sizes and microstructures. The results indicate that as-deposited composite coating is amorphous. Whereas it turns into the crystalline structure with 98.25% crystallinity, and Ni3 P, Ni2 P and Ni5P2 alloy phases precipitate from structures at 400 °C. Thereafter, Ni2 P and Ni5P2 metastable alloy phases turn into Ni3 P stable alloy phase at 500 °C. The crystallization course of the composite coating has finished when being heat-treated at 700 °C. The average sizes of Ni grains increase with the rise of heat treatment temperature from400 °C to 700 °C. Ce O2 and Si O2 nano-particles deposited into Ni-W-P alloys can delay the crystallization course and habit the growth of alloy phases. 展开更多

Rutile phase exhibits higher refractive index and h id ing power, good chemical stability, and is becoming a candidate material for the high-temperature separation and catalysis applications. The thermodynamically stable feature of rutile among the three polymorphs of TiO 2 usually hinders ob taining nano-sized rutile phase by a conventional calcining way. However, acid peptization of amorphous TiO 2 is favorable to the formation of rutile phase. I n this work, well-crystallized and well-dispersed rod-like rutile particles w ith specific surface areas of 49.1 and 35.0 m 2/g were prepared by hydrothermal ly treating the acid peptized TiO 2 amorphous sols at relatively low temperatur es of 200 ℃ or 240 ℃, respectively. The formation of non-touching rutile part icles is attributed to high long-range electrostatic forces between particles i n the presence of the high concentration of the peptizer. The acid peptization w ould easily break the ≡Ti-O-Ti≡ bonds to form ≡Ti-OH or HO-Ti-OH species depending on the amount of acid, and create conditions for the formation of rut ile nuclei after structural rearrangements. 展开更多

Pt and Ir coatings were produced by double glow plasma technology on the surface of Ti alloy substrates. The chemical compositions of the coatings were determined by X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The microstructure and morphology of the coatings were observed by scanning electron microscopy. The hardness and elastic modulus of the coatings were estimated by nanoindentation. The measurements of adhesive forces of the coatings were performed with scratch tester. The results indicated that the Pt and Ir coatings displayed the preferred (220) orientation due to the initial nuclei with preferred growth on the surface of the substrates. The interface between the Pt coating and substrate exhibited no evidence of delamination. The Ir coating was composed of irregular columnar grains with many nanovoids at the interface between the coating and substrate. The mean values of hardness for Pt and Ir coatings were 0.9 GPa and 9 GPa, respectively. The elastic modulus of Pt and Ir coatings were 178 GPa and 339 GPa, respectively. The adhesive forces of the Pt and Ir coatings were about 66.4 N and 55 N, respectively. The Pt and Ir coatings adhered well to the Ti alloy substrates. 展开更多

A new cyclometalated platinum complex containing 2, 5-bis(naphthalene-1-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole ligand was synthesized and characterized. The UV-Vis absorptions and photoluminescent properties of the ligand and its platinum complex were investigated. A characteristic metal-ligand charge transfer absorption peak at 439 nm in the UV spectrum and a strong emission peak at 625 nm in the photoluminescence spectrum were observed for this complex in dichloromethane. Cyclic voltammtry (CV) analysis shows that the EHOMO (energy level of the highest occupied molecular orbital) and ELUMO (energy level of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) of the platinum complex are about 、5.69 and 、3.25 eV, respectively, indicating that the oxadiazole-based platinum complex has a potential application in electrophosphorescent devices used as a red-emitting material. 展开更多

Cancer metastasis is the leading cause of death in cancer patients worldwide and one of the major challenges in treating cancer.Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)play a pivotal role in cancer metastasis.However,the content of CTCs in peripheral blood is minimal,so the detection of CTCs in real samples is extremely challenging.Therefore,efficient enrichment and early detection of CTCs are essential to achieve timely diagnosis of diseases.In this work,we constructed an innovative and sensitive single-nanoparticle collision electrochemistry(SNCE)biosensor for the detection of MCF-7 cells(human breast cancer cells)by immunomagnetic separation technique and liposome signal amplification strategy.Liposomes embedded with platinum nanoparticles(Pt NPs)were used as signal probes,and homemade gold ultramicroelectrodes(Au UME)were used as the working electrodes.The effective collision between Pt NPs and UME would produce distinguishable step-type current.MCF-7 cells were accurately quantified according to the relationship between cell concentration and collision frequency(the number of step-type currents generated per unit time),realizing highly sensitive and specific detection of MCF-7 cells.The SNCE biosensor has a linear range of 10 cells·mL^(-1)to 10^(5) cells·mL^(-1)with a detection limit as low as 5 cells·mL^(-1).In addition,the successful detection of MCF-7 cells in complex samples showed that the SNCE biosensors have great potential for patient sample detection. 展开更多

The ophiolite suite outcropping along th... Information on abundance and distribution of platinum\|group elements (PGE) in peridotite from ophiolite is relevant to understand the nature and evolution of the upper mantle. The ophiolite suite outcropping along the famous suture zone of Yarlung Zangbo River, Tibet, has attracted wide attention of geologists both in China and abroad. The Dagzhuka ophiolite of in the suture zone is thought to display a complete ophiolitic sequence. The peridotite from the Dazhuka ophiolite is composed of fairly fresh or unaltered lherzolite, harzburgite and minor dunite which are the upper mantle residuum formed by 15%~35% partial melting. In this paper we have mainly studied the abundance and distribution of PGE in the harzburgites and lherzolites. The harzburgites and lherzolites preserve total PGE contents of 28 37×10 -9 ~50 67×10 -9 respectively higher than Primitive mantle or the peridotite from some typical ophiolites and Alpine. They all have fractionated chondrite\|normalized PGE patterns with positive slopes from Ir to Pd (Fig.1), and Pd/Ir=1 13~2 40>1, Pd/Rh=2 23~7 49>1, and Pd/Pt=0 26~1 16 (average 0 67) higher than Primitive mantle (1 11, 2 35, 0 57) or CI\|chondrite (1 01, 2 73, 0 53). Consequently, the Dagzhuka peridotite are PGE\|enriched, but otherwise possess residual characteristics arising from a minimum of 15% partial melting. It is suggested that mantle residuum by partial melting have low total PGE contents, fractionated chondrite\|normalized PGE patterns with negative or slightly flat slopes from Ir to Pd, and Pd/Ir<1. But, the total PGE contents, chondrite\|normalized PGE patterns and Pt/Ir, Pd/Rh and Pd/Pt values of the Dagzhuka peridotite are completely inconsistent with a residual origin. Partial melting would have partitioned all sulfide in the source into the melt. In fact, no sulfide or silicate melt remained in the Dagzhuka peridotite. Therefore, PGE in Dagzhuka peridotite are not present in sulfides. The PGE\|enrichment and fractionation of the Dagzhuka peridotites seem to arise from mantle metasomatism of melts/fluid enrich incompatible elements include Pt and Pt, but not from residual or percolation of sulfides. The enrichment of Cs, Rb, Ba, Th, U and LREE in Dagzhuka peridotite also give a hint of the mantle metasomatism. The abundance and distribution of PGE in the peridotite from the Dagzhuka ophiolite show the nature and evolution of the Dagzhuka upper mantle are distinctive. 展开更多

Purpose: To establish a HPLC testing method of the content of bulk picoplatin and its impurities. Method: the separation was perform on a C18 column(4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 m) with potassium dihydrogen phosphate-aceton-itrile as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detecting wavelength was set at 210 nm, and the column temperature was set at 30℃. Result: in the method validation, the linear relationship modulus of picoplatin is 0.9999, the systemic precision is 0.44%, the method precision is 0.74%, the average recovery rate is 99.62%, the LOD and LOQ of picoplatin is 0.2 ng and 1.0 ng. The average resolution of picoplatin and its impurities is more than 2. Conclusion: The established method is good specificity, high sensitivity, and good repeatability which could provide scientific evidence for the quality control of picoplatin and its impurities. 展开更多

The method is simple and accurate. By the determination of the metal residues in the samples, the calculated actual daily exposure and concentration of the metal Pd, Ir, Rh, Ru, Mo, Ni, Cr, V, Cu, Mn, Fe and Zn that were less than the permitted daily exposures (PDE) and the limited concentration permitted in the EMEA guideline on the specification limits for residues of metal catalysts or metal reagents [1] . The metal residues can de adequately removed from the active pharmaceutical ingredients and the corresponding drugs. The trace metal residues will not affect human health and lead to the safety hazard by the intravenous injection. 展开更多

For the manufacture of S-type thermocouple the so-called thermocouple wire of platinum and platinum-rhodium alloy is used.One of the main technical requirements for the quality of the wire,according to State Standard of Russia(GOST 10821),is the uniformity of its largest thermoelectric force(Thermo-emf) in the length different sections.It was found that a determining impact on the uniformity of the wire thermo-emf is the distribution of rhodium along the length of the wire.The impact of platinum-rhodium melt crystallization conditions on the inhomogeneity of wire manufactured from it.It was suggested that the chemical inhomogeneity of the wire is related to the liquation phase of platinum-rhodium alloy. 展开更多
