Strong electronic metal-support interactions for enhanced hydroformylation activity and stability over Rh single-atom catalysts through phosphorus doping

By simplifying catalyst-product separation and reducing phosphorus waste,heterogeneous hydroformylation offers a more sustainable alternative to homogeneous processes.However,heterogeneous hydroformylation catalysts developed thus far still suffer from the issues of much lower activity and metal leaching,which severely hinder their practical application.Here,we demonstrate that incorporating phosphorus(P)atoms into graphitic carbon nitride(PCN)supports facilitates charge transfer from Rh to the PCN support,thus largely enhancing electronic metal-support interactions(EMSIs).In the styrene hydroformylation reaction,the activity of Rh_(1)/PCN single-atom catalysts(SACs)with varying P contents exhibited a volcano-shaped relationship with P doping,where the Rh_(1)/PCN SAC with optimal P doping showed exceptional activity,approximately 5.8-and 3.3-fold greater than that of the Rh_(1)/g-C_(3)N_(4)SAC without P doping and the industrial homogeneous catalyst HRh(CO)(PPh_(3))_(3),respectively.In addition,the optimal Rh_(1)/PCN SAC catalyst also demonstrated largely enhanced multicycle stability without any visible metal aggregation owing to the increased EMSIs,which sharply differed from the severe metal aggregation of large nanoparticles on the Rh_(1)/g-C_(3)N_(4)SAC.Mechan-istic studies revealed that the enhanced catalytic performance could be attributed to electron-deficient Rh species,which reduced CO adsorption while simultaneously promoting alkene adsorption through increased EMSIs.These findings suggest that tuning EMSIs is an effective way to achieve SACs with high activity and durability. 展开更多

Background Soil available phosphorus(AP)deficiency significantly limits cotton production,particularly in arid and saline-alkaline regions.Screening cotton cultivars for low phosphorus(P)tolerance is crucial for the sustainable development of cotton production.However,the effect of different growth media on the screening outcomes remains unclear.To address this,we evaluated the low P tolerance of 25 cotton cultivars through hydroponic culture at two P levels(0.01 and 0.5 mmol·L^(-1) KH_(2)PO_(4))in 2018 and field culture with two P rates(0 and 90 kg·hm^(-2),in P2O5)in 2019.Results In the hydroponic experiments,principal component analysis(PCA)showed that shoot dry weight(SDW)and P utilization efficiency in shoots(PUES)of cotton seedlings explained over 45%of the genetic variation in P nutri-tion.Cotton cultivars were subjected to comprehensive cluster analysis,utilizing agronomic traits(SDW and PUES)during the seedling stage(hydroponic)and yield and fiber quality traits during the mature stage(in field).These cultivars were grouped into four clusters:resistant,moderately resistant,moderately sensitive,and sensitive.In low P conditions(0.01 mmol·L^(-1) KH_(2)PO_(4) and 4.5 mg·kg^(-1) AP),the low-P-resistant cluster showed significantly smaller reduc-tions in SDW(54%),seed cotton yield(3%),lint yield(-2%),fiber length(-1)%),and fiber strength(-3%)compared with the low-P-sensitive cluster(75%,13%,17%,7%,and 9%,respectively).The increase in PUES(299%)in the resist-ant cluster was also significantly higher than in the sensitive cluster(131%).Four of the eight low-P-tolerant cotton cultivars identified in the field and six in the hydroponic screening overlapped in both screenings.Two cultivars overlapped in both screening in the low-P-sensitive cluster.Conclusion Based on the screenings from both field and hydroponic cultures,ZM-9131,CCRI-79,JM-958,and J-228 were identified as low-P-tolerant cotton cultivars,while JM-169,XM-33B,SCRC-28,and LNM-18 were identified as low P-sensitive cotton cultivars.The relationship between field and hydroponic screening results for low-P-tolerant cotton cultivars was strong,although field validation is still required.The low P tolerance of these cultivars was closely associ-ated with SDW and PUES. 展开更多

Nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)are mineral nutrients essential for plant growth and development,playing a crucial role throughout the plant life cycle.Cotton,a globally significant textile crop,has a particularly high demand for N fertilizer across its developmental stages.This review explores the effects of adequate or deficient N and P levels on cotton growth phases,focusing on their influence on physiological processes and molecular mechanisms.Key topics include the regulation of N-and P-related enzymes,hormones,and genes,as well as the complex interplay of N-and P-related signaling pathways from the aspects of N-P signaling integration to regulate root development,N-P signaling integration to regulate nutrient uptake,and regulation of N-P interactions—a frontier in current research.Strategies for improving N and P use efficiency are also discussed,including developing high-efficiency cotton cultivars and identifying functional genes to enhance productivity.Generally speaking,we take model plants as a reference in the hope of coming up with new strategies for the efficient utilization of N and P in cotton. 展开更多

This study developed a direct reduction route to smelt refractory high-phosphorus iron ores by using hydrogen rich gas.The effects of temperature,gas composition,and gangue on the reduction behavior of iron ore pellets were investigated.Additionally,the migration behavior of phosphorus throughout the reduction-smelting process was examined.The apparent activation energy of the reduction process increased from 64.2 to 194.2 kJ/mol.Increasing the basicity from 0.5 to 0.9 increased the metallization rate from 85.9%to 89.2%.During the reduction process,phosphorus remained in the gangue phase.Carbon deposition and phosphorus removal behaviors of the pellets were investigated and correlated with the gas composition,temperature,pressure,metallization rate,and basicity.Increasing the FeO and CaO contents led to an increase in the liquidus temperature.A high metallization rate of the pellets reduced the phosphorus removal rate but increased the carbon content of the final iron product.Increasing basicity restricted the migration of phosphorus and improved the rate of phosphorus removal.The optimum dephosphorization parameters were separation temperature of 1823 K,basicity of 2.0,and metallization rate of 82.3%.This study presents a high-efficiency and low carbon method for smelting high-phosphorus iron ores. 展开更多

Contribution factors to cause ground crack and mining subsidence were studied, including mining method, mining depth and ore thickness and stope size, dip angle of orebody, geological structure, nature of overburden and water contents, and roof supports, etc. Countermeasures against cracks and subsidence were put forward. The uniaxial compressive strength of compounded phosphorus gypsum after 28 d of curing period was tested to be more than 1 MPa. Phosphorus gypsum can be used as materials for the backfill of stope. By comparison and numerical simulation, cut and fill mining method with middle-deep drilling holes and ore transportation by blasting force was selected as the optimum mining method in Kaiyang Phosphorus Mine. 展开更多

The increasing demand for iron ore in the world causes the continuous exhaustion of magnetite resources.The utilization of high-phosphorus iron ore becomes the focus.With calcium carbonate(CaCO_(3)),calcium chloride(CaCl_(2)),or calcium sulfate(CaSO_(4))as additive,the process of direct reduction and phosphorus removal of high-phosphorus iron ore(phosphorus mainly occurred in the form of Fe_(3)PO_(7) and apatite)was studied by using the technique of direct reductiongrinding-magnetic separation.The mechanism of calcium compounds to reduce phosphorus was investigated from thermodynamics,iron metallization degree,mineral composition and microstructure.Results showed that Fe_(3)PO_(7) was reduced to elemental phosphorus without calcium compounds.The iron-phosphorus alloy was generated by react of metallic iron and phosphorus,resulting in high phosphorus in reduced iron products.CaCO_(3) promoted the reduction of hematite and magnetite,and improved iron metallization degree,but inhibited the growth of metallic iron particles.CaCl_(2) strengthened the growth of iron particles.However,the recovery of iron was reduced due to the formation of volatile FeCl_(2).CaSO_(4) promoted the growth of iron particles,but the recovery of iron was drastically reduced due to the formation of non-magnetic FeS.CaCO_(3),CaCl_(2) or CaSO_(4) could react with Fe_(3)PO_(7) to form calcium phosphate(Ca_(3)(PO_(4))_(2)).With the addition of CaCO_(3),Ca_(3)(PO_(4))_(2) was closely combined with fine iron particles.It is difficult to separate iron and phosphorus by grinding and magnetic separation,resulting in the reduced iron product phosphorus content of 0.18%.In the presence of CaCl_(2) or CaSO_(4),the boundary between the generated Ca_(3)(PO_(4))_(2) and the metallic iron particles was obvious.Phosphorus was removed by grinding and magnetic separation,and the phosphorus content in the reduced iron product was less than 0.10%. 展开更多

In Kaiyang Phosphorus Mine, serious environmental and safety problems are caused by large scale mining activities in the past 40 years. These problems include mining subsidence, low recovery ratio, too much dead ore in pillars, and pollution of phosphorus gypsum. Mining subsidence falls into four categories: curved ground and mesa, ground cracks and collapse hole, spalling and eboulement, slope slide and creeping. Measures to treat the mining subsidence were put forward: finding out and managing abandoned stopes, optimizing mining method (cut and fill mining method), selecting proper backfilling materials (phosphogypsum mixtures), avoiding disorder mining operation, and treating highway slopes. These investigations and engineering treatment methods are believed to be able to contribute to the safety extraction of ore and sustainable development in Kaiyang Phosphorus Mine. 展开更多

In order to reasonably utilize the abundant resources of high-phosphorus iron ore and ilmenite in China, the technology of top-blown smelting reduction with oxygen enrichment was used to smelt the mixed ore of high-phosphorus iron and ilmenite. The effect, which is related to basicity, reduction temperature, carbon-oxygen ratio and time of ventilated oxygen to iron recovery, dephosphorization rate, content of iron, phosphorus, sulfur and titanium in pig iron, was investigated in the experiment. The results show that an ideal outcome can be gained in condition of 6:4 ration on Mengqiao concentrate and Huimin iron ore, temperature of 1 500℃, basicity of 1.3, 1.0 on molar ration of carbon to oxygen, time of 10 min on blowing-oxygen. The outcome is that there is no foamy slag in generation, a good separation of slag and iron, iron recovery with 91.41%, content of phosphorus with 0.27% and tilanium content less than 0.001%, The atmosphere of strong oxidizing in the upper of reduction container and high potential of oxygen in the composition of slag in this technique bring phosphorus, titanium and silicon into slag, which ensures less content of impurity in pig iron. 展开更多

Evaluation methods of man-machine-environment system for clean and safe production in phosphorus mines: A case study 被引量:6

Phosphorus is an essential element in agricultural production and chemical industry. However, since the risk of casualties and economic loss by mining accidents, the application of clean and safe production in phosphorus mines encounters great challenges. For this purpose, a man-machine-environment system composed of evaluation indexes was established, and the grading standards of indexes were defined. Firstly, the measurements of 39 qualitative indexes were obtained through the survey data. According to the measured values of 31 quantitative indexes, the measurements of quantitative indexes were calculated by linear measurement function(LM) and other three functions. Then the singleindex measurement evaluation matrixes were established. Secondly, the entropy weight method was used to determine the weights of each index directly. The analytic hierarchy process(AHP) was also applied to calculate the weights of index and index factor hierarchies after the established hierarchical model. The weights of system hierarchies were given by the grid-based fuzzy Borda method(GFB). The comprehensive weights were determined by the combination method of AHP and GFB(CAG). Furthermore, the multi-index comprehensive measurement evaluation vectors were obtained.Thirdly, the vectors were evaluated by the credible degree recognition(CDR) and the maximum membership(TMM)criteria. Based on the above functions, methods, and criteria, 16 combination evaluation methods were recommended.Finally, the clean and safe production grade of Kaiyang phosphate mine in China was evaluated. The results show that the LM-CAG-CDR is the most reasonable method, which can not only determine the clean and safe production grade of phosphorus mines, but also improve the development level of clean and safe mining of phosphorus mines for guidance.In addition, some beneficial suggestions and measures were also proposed to advance the clean and safe production grade of Kaiyang phosphorus mine. 展开更多

The mechanism of removing phosphate by MSWI(municipal solid waste incineration)fly ash was investigated by SEM(scanning electron microscopy)with EDS(energy dispersion spectrum),XRD(X-ray diffraction),FT-IR(Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy),BET(specific surface area),and BJH(pore size distribution).The results indicate that the removal rate of phosphate(100 mg/L)in 50 mL phosphorus wastewater reaches at 99.9% as the dosage of MSWI fly ash being 0.9000 g under room temperature.The specific surface area of MSWI fly ash is less than 6.1 m2/g and the total pore volume is below 0.021 cm3/g,suggesting that the absorption capacity of calcite is too weak to play an important role in phosphate removal.SEM images show that drastic changes had taken place on its specific surface shape after reaction,and EDS tests indicate that some phosphate precipitates are formed and attached onto MSWI fly ash particles.Chemical precipitation is the main manner of phosphate removal and the main reaction is: 3Ca2++2 PO4 3-+xH2O→Ca3(PO4)2↓·xH2O.Besides,XRD tests show that the composition of MSWI fly ash is complex,but CaSO4 is likely to be the main source of Ca2+.The soluble heavy metals in MSWI fly ash are stabilized by phosphate. 展开更多

In order to explore the response of maize phosphorus absorption to the appropriate proportion of organic fertilizer substitution for reduced chemical fertilizer,a field experiment with eight treatments was conducted in 2018.The eight treatments in the trial were:(1)CK;(2)M0+F;(3)M1+F1;(4)M1+F2;(5)M2+F1;(6)M2+F2;(7)M3+F1 and(8)M3+F2.In these treatments,M0,M1,M2 and M3 were organic fertilization of 0,15(low),30(medium)and 45(high)m3•hm-2,respectively.F1 and F2 indicated 20%and 40%reduction of conventional chemical fertilization.The soil nutrient content,phosphorus accumulation,dry weight,yield and yield components of maize were analyzed.The results showed that the phosphorus accumulation of maize stalks and leaves were 3.30%-43.17%and 10.98%-84.95%higher in M3+F1 treatment(20%reduction of chemical fertilizer with organic fertilizer of 45 m3•hm-2)than those in the conventional treatment(M0+F)during the maize reproductive period.At R2 stage,stalk and shoot P accumulation of M3+F1 treatment were 24.67%-43.18%and 20.34%-25.19%higher than other treatments,respectively.At V12 stage,leaf P accumulation of M3+F1 increased by 84.95%compared with other treatments.The maize yield of M3+F1 was significantly higher than that of other treatments,even though the partial productivity of the total phosphorus fertilizer of M3+F2 was the highest in the treatments.It could be found that the substitution of organic fertilizer for chemical fertilizer improved crop yield,phosphorus fertilizer efficiency and accumulation.M3+F1 treatment had the most positive effects on improving maize phosphorus accumulation and yield. 展开更多

The results indicated that the phosphorus pollution have significant relations to human activities (especially the phosphorus industry). The concentrations of total-phosphorus (TP), total dissolved phosphorus (TDP) and dissolved phosphorus (DP) in Dec.2004 were higher than those in Jul. 2005; the TP contents of sites 15 and 16 were much higher than others’, the TP content of the largest site 16 was 1946.29mg/kg in Dec. 2004 and 1756.11mg/kg in Jul. 2005, respectively, which was much higher than the average (1497.51mg/kg and 1369.38mg/kg, respectively). The TP content in the sediment of the Xiangxi River was from 1179.53mg/kg to 1851.20mg/kg. The TP contents of most sites except site 18, 19 and 20 were higher in Dec. 2004 than those in Jul. 2005. The effects of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans(At. f) mutated with diethyl sulfate(DES) as a mutagen on the bioleaching of soluble phosphorus(P) from rock phosphate(RP) were investigated. The results show that the oxidative activity of At. f is greatly improved by 1.0%(volume fraction) of DES. Correspondingly,the highest leaching rate of soluble P is also obtained to be 14.9% by the At. f mutated,which is 85.8% higher than that of the adapted At. f without mutation. In addition,the SEM images are significantly performed that the corrosion of RP residue surfaces leached by 1.0% DES-induced At.f is much worse than that of leached by the adapted At. f. All the above indicate that the leaching efficiency of soluble P from RP with pyrite can be greatly improved by using DES-induced At. f to a certain extent. 展开更多

To achieve the purpose of reducing farm non-point source pollution, we integrated site specific nitrogen management precise irrigation, controlled drainage, and wetland eco-repair system in dike area of Taihu basin. During investigation, it had given prominence for the water and fertilizer coupling effects of precise irrigation and site specific nutrient management, the characteristics of integration on controlled irrigation, controlled drainage and wetland ecosystem non-point source pollution control. Then the water and fertilizer integrated management mode of paddy field was put forward in Taihu basin where the water production efficiency increased to 1.64 kg. m-3, water saved 37.8%, fertilizer use efficiency raised 15,4%, yield raised 10%, and N, P load decreased 26%-72%. The modern agricultural and farmland ecosystems that control and cut down the farm non-point source pollution came into being, which can be a reference by Taihu basin to control its agricultural non-point source pollution and eutrophicated water body. 展开更多

Dephosphorization mechanism of prolonged sludge age SBBR treating saline and high-phosphorus wastewater

Prolonged sludge age sequencing batch biofilm reactor (SBBR) without sludge discharge appears high performance phosphorus removal in treating saline and high-phosphorus wastewater,which cannot be explained by traditional biological dephosphorization theory. The new path and mechanism of phosphorus removal was discussed on the phosphorus balance of phosphorus removal system without sludge discharge. Phosphorus balance in sludge was studied on 26 running cycles of the phosphorus reduction system. The results show that there is only 0.12 mg/g poly-P in sludge at the end of each reaction period,not phosphorus uptake by polyphosphate-accumulating organisms (PAOs). It is found that 41.8 mg/L of external phosphorus gets lost per day averagely,and 155 mg of internal phosphorus in sludge gets lost. The matrix bound phosphine in sludge achieves 36.04 mg/kg measured by alkaline digestion,and there is 18.44 mg/kg in +1 valence state,a intermediate,in sludge. This implies that the phosphorus removal system of prolonged sludge age SBBR without sludge discharge is a phosphate reduction,and the path of dephosphorization is phosphate→hypophosphite→phosphine. 展开更多

An experiment was carried out to assess the phosphorus status of free grazing goats at Faisalabad, Pakistan. Samples were collected fortnightly during summer and winter seasons of 2010 from soil and plants. The highest (1183±0.54 mg. kg1) levels of feces phosphorus were recorded in lactating goats during winter and (9.87±0.99 mg" kg1) in urine of male during winter. Similarly maximum (71.0±0.88 mg "kgt) phosphorus concentration was observed in the plasma of lactating animals. Milk contained (31.0±0.36) rag. L^-1 in winter while during the months of summer the highest values recorded in forages, soils, canal and tube well waters were (755±1.98) mg. kg^-1, (785±4.98) mg· kg^-1, (0.97±8.78) mg·L^-1 and (4.12±0.55) mg. L^-1, respectively. It was revealed from the current results that fecal matter, forage, milk, tube well and canal water contained lower amounts of P, while P levels in blood plasma was found within the critical limits. Therefore, phosphorus supplementations were required in the area under experimentation to meet the requirements of the animals for their normal growth. 展开更多

It is found that the addition of Al-containing component in melting furnace increased the amount of phosphorus in slag phase. Thermodynamic analysis of the industrial sludge melting process with the addition of different Al-containing components was also carried out. The compositions of slag and the gas in three different zones in melting furnace were obtained. The results also demonstrate that increasing the mole ratio Al/P of charged materials is an effective way to fix more phosphorus in slap, which can help reduce the amount of H3PO4 precipitate from guy in the waste heat boiler later. 展开更多

Pot experiment was conducted to examine how application of KH2PO4 (0-165 mg·kg^-1 P) to affect nutrient ion uptake and rhizosphere acidification of soybean (Glycine max L.) grown in greenhouse for 90 days. When supplied of 82 and 165 mg·kg^-1 P, soybeans showed excessive poison. Under all kinds of P levels, the K, Ca, Na and Mg concents in plant tissues were as below order K was nodules 〉 roots 〉 pods 〉 shoots; Ca was shoots 〉 roots 〉 nodules 〉 pods; Na was roots 〉 nodules 〉 pods 〉 shoots and Mg was shoots 〉 nodules 〉 roots 〉 pods. K concent in plant tisssues had greater effect on rhizosphere acidification than other cations in this experiment irrespective of P supply, and was significantly negative to pH. Na concentration was significantly positive to pH. Excessive P supply induced rhizosphere acidification, pH decreased as P supply increased from 82 to 165 mg·kg^-1. Ash alkalinity in shoots and roots was significantly positively correlated with rhizosphere pH irrespective of P supply. All these results suggested that P supply affected nutrient uptake, induced ash alkalinity to increase and rhizosphere pH to decrease in soybean. 展开更多

They concluded that to maintain improved growth under phosphorus defioiency oonditions plants develop two major mechanisms: (i) Phosphorus acquisition (root morphology, root exudation and phosphorus uptake mechanisms), (ii) Phosphorus utilization (internal mechanisms associated with better use of absorbed phosphorus at cellular level).
