文摘Using flexible damping technology to improve tunnel lining structure is an emerging method to resist earthquake disasters, and several methods have been explored to predict mechanical response of tunnel lining with damping layer. However, the traditional numerical methods suffer from the complex modelling and time-consuming problems. Therefore,a prediction model named the random forest regressor(RFR)is proposed based on 240 numerical simulation results of the mechanical response of tunnel lining. In addition, circle mapping(CM)is used to improve Archimedes optimization algorithm(AOA),reptile search algorithm(RSA),and Chernobyl disaster optimizer(CDO)to further improve the predictive performance of the RFR model. The performance evaluation results show that the CMRSA-RFR is the best prediction model. The damping layer thickness is the most important feature for predicting the maximum principal stress of tunnel lining containing damping layer. This study verifies the feasibility of combining numerical simulation with machine learning technology, and provides a new solution for predicting the mechanical response of aseismic tunnel with damping layer.

文摘The complex stress environment during underground space reuse in deep mines often leads to significant instability in the surrounding rock-lining support structure of roadways. To address this,a multi-component carbon reinforced lining material(CGNC)was developed to improve the mechanical properties and self-sensing capabilities of the surrounding rock-lining support structure, enabling precise identification of precursor information related to surrounding rock-lining instability and failure. In this study, the failure precursor characteristics of the sample are obtained by analyzing the CGNC acoustic emission parameters, resistivity, and full-field main strain during the loading process.By combining the b-value,failure precursor resistivity, and strain monitoring, the precursor information is quantitatively characterized. Finally,a response mechanism for precursor information, based on the integration of"force acoustic-electricity-graph"is established. The results are as follows:1)The optimal content of carbon-based materials is 0.2%graphene(GPE),0.3%nano-carbon black(NCB),and 0.15%carbon nanotube(CNT),which results in an 86.7%increase in the sample's strength. The yield stress can serve as the"failure precursor"for the sample's instability. As the content increases, the"failure precursor"is delayed accordingly.2)As the stress level approaches the yield stress, the b-value decreases sharply, acoustic emission energy increases significantly, and the resistivity and main strain curves nearly synchronously reach the"inflection point",which serves as the precursor to sample failure.3)With increasing carbon-based material content, the synergistic effect of the three materials causes the failure mode of the sample to evolve from uniform single cracking and tensile failure to large-scale fracture and multi-crack tensile-shear composite failure, fundamentally explaining the modification mechanism of carbon-based materials in cement-based composites. These findings provide theoretical support for the instability failure mechanism and early warning system of CGNC.
文摘The two-dimensional grating serves as a critical component in plane grating interferometers for achieving high-precision multidimensional displacement measurements. The calibration of grating groove density and orthogonality error of grating grooves not only improves the positioning accuracy of grating interferometers but also provides essential feedback for optimizing two-dimensional grating fabrication. This study proposes a method for simultaneous calibration of these parameters using orthogonal heterodyne laser interferometry.A two-dimensional grating interferometer is built with the grating to be measured, and a biaxial laser interferometer provides a displacement reference for it.The phase mapping relationship between grating interference and laser interference is established. The interference phase information obtained by any two displacements can simultaneously solve the above three parameters and obtain the grating installation error. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified by using a 1200 gr/mm two-dimensional grating. The standard deviation of the grating groove density in the X and Y directions is 0.012 gr/mm and 0.014 gr/mm,respectively.The standard deviation of the orthogonality error of grating grooves is 0.004°,and the standard deviation of the installation error is 0.002°.Compared with the atomic force microscope method, the consistency of the grating groove density in the X and Y directions is better than 0.03 gr/mm and 0.06 gr/mm,and the orthogonality error of grating grooves is better than 0.008°.The experimental results show that the proposed method can be simply and efficiently applied to the calibration of the grating line parameters of the two-dimensional grating.
文摘Prediction of water inflow into a tunnel is a crucial prerequisite for the waterproof and drainage design of mountain tunnels in water-rich areas.Based on the proposed Baiyun Mountain Tunnel project in Guangzhou,a numerical percolation model of random fractured rock of a tunnel underpassing a water reservoir is established to study the seepage characteristics of surrounding rock, the law of water inflow, and the change of lining water pressure, considering the local artificial boundary conditions for seepage in large rock mass,.In addition, the influences of rock permeability, fracture aperture, grouting circle thickness, and penetration are analyzed. The results show that:(1)Only fractures with aperture wider than 0.1 mm can play a significant role in water conduction in rocks with the permeability lower than 10^(-11)m^(2);(2)The greater the permeability difference between the fractures and rocks, the more remarkable the effects of fractures on the surrounding rock seepage field and cavern water inflow;(3)The sensitivity of grouting waterproof function to grouting circle thickness, grouting ring penetration, and rock permeability is significantly higher than that of tunnel buried depth and fracture aperture;(4)The lining water head is much more sensitive to the grouting circle thickness and penetration than to the tunnel buried depth;(5)With the grouting range enlarging, the impact of grouting circle permeability on the precipitation pressure role of the grouting ring increases;(6)For the interesting tunnel designed to be built at the depth of 70 m,the grouting circle with the thickness of 0.5 m and permeability of 10-^(14)m^(2)is recommended.

文摘The worm wheel whose undercutting characteristic is researched is a member of offsetting normal arc-toothed cylindrical worm drive. The tooth profile of the worm in its offsetting normal section is a circular arc.The normal vector used to calculate the first-type limit function is determined in the natural frame without the aid of the curvature parameter of worm helicoid. The first-type limit line is ascertained via solving the nonlinear equations iteratively. It is discovered that one first-type limit line exists on the tooth surface of worm wheel by numerical simulation, and such a line is normally located out of the meshing zone.Only one intersection point exists between the first and second-types of limit lines, and this point is a lubrication weak point. The undercutting mechanism is essentially that a part of the meshing zone near the conjugated line of worm tooth crest will come into the undercutting area and will be cut off during machining the worm wheel. The machining simulation verifies the correctness of undercutting mechanism. Moreover,a convenient and practical characteristic quantity is proposed to judge whether the undercutting exists in the whole meshing zone via computing the first-type limit function values on the worm tooth crest.

文摘Microstrip transmission lines connecting to the millimeter wave radar chip and antenna significantly affect the radiation efficiency and bandwidth of the antenna. Here,a wideband non-uniform wavy microstrip line for complex impedance in automotive radar frequency range is proposed.Unlike the gradient transmission line, the wavy structure is composed of periodically semi-circular segments.By adjusting the radius of the semi-circular,the surface current is varied and concentrated on the semi-circular segments, allowing a wider tunability range of the resonant frequency. The results reveal that the bandwidth of the loaded wavy transmission line antenna improves to 9.37 GHz,which is 5.81 GHz wider than that of the loaded gradient line. The gain and the half power beam width of the loaded antenna are about 14.69 dB and 9.58°,respectively.The proposed non-uniform microstrip line scheme may open up a route for realizing wideband millimeter-wave automotive radar applications.

文摘Microstrip traveling wave tubes(TWTs)have garnered significant attention due to their potential applications in communication, defense, and industrial systems. This paper presents a compact W-band dual-channel TWT,utilizing a U-shaped microstrip meander-line slow-wave structure(SWS).High-frequency characteristics are analyzed through simulation and cold tests. The results demonstrate that adjusting structural parameters effectively optimizes the S-parameters.Particle-in-cell(PIC)simulations with an 18.8 kV,0.1 A electron beam predict an output power of 18 W with a gain of 14 dB.Experimental measurements of S-parameters are conducted using three substrate materials:Rogers 5880,quartz,and diamond. The quartz substrate exhibits the closest agreement with simulation results. The results advance the development of the microstrip-based TWTs for high-data-rate communication systems.
文摘For every integer 4≤d≤11,an explicit construction of infinite families of 2d-regular unique-neighbor expanders is presented, which is a generalization of the 6-regular unique-neighbors initially developed by Alon and Capalbo.Additionally, for values of d greater than 11,a sufficient condition is established for employing the same construction method. Our construction method involves the“line product”of large bipartite Ramanujan graphs and a sufficiently good unique-neighbor expander(a small gadget).
文摘Background Transgenic research in crops involves using genetic engineering techniques to introduce specific genes of interest from other organisms,or even entirely new genes into plant genomes to create crops with desirable traits that wouldn’t be possible through conventional breeding methods.Transgenic crops have been developed for various traits globally.Whitefly,Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius)is one of the major sucking pests of cotton that cause significant damage to the cotton production. To combat whitefly infestations, researchers have developed four transgenic cotton lines expressing the fern protein. And those transgenic lines need to be evaluated for their performance against the target pest—whitefly. The evaluation was designed as controlled trials in polyhouse or muslin cloth cages under open-choice and no-choice conditions by comparing four transgenic cotton lines(A,B,C,and D)with three control groups, including untransformed cotton plants with a same genetic background of the transgenic line, conventionally bred whitefly-resistant cotton, and whitefly-susceptible cotton. In order to study the generational effect, the evaluation also involved studies on whitefly development in laboratory, muslin cloth cage, and polyhouse conditions. Results Both open-choice and no-choice experiments had shown that all the four transgenic cotton lines(A,B,C,and D)expressing the fern protein reduced adult whitefly numbers significantly compared with the control lines, except for the no-choice conditions in 2021,where the transgenic line C was non-significant different from the resistant control line.Notably, the nymphal population on the resistant control line was relatively low and nonsignificant different from the transgenic line C in 2021;and the transgenic lines A and C in 2022 under open-choice conditions.Under no-choice condition, the nymphal counts in the resistant control line was non-significant different from transgenic lines C and D in 2021;and transgenic line D in 2022.All transgenic lines showed significant decrease in egg hatching in 2021 and nymphal development in 2022,except for the transgenic line C which had no significant different in the nymphal development comparing with non-transgenic control lines in 2022.Adult emergence rates in both years of evaluation showed significant decrease in transgenic lines A and B comparing with the control lines.Additionally, the results showed a significant reduction in cotton leaf curl disease and sooty mold development in all the four transgenic lines compared with susceptible control under open-choice conditions, indicating potential benefits of transgenic lines beyond direct effect on whitefly control.Furthermore, the research explored the generational effects of the fern protein on whitefly which revealed the lowest fecundity in the transgenic line C across F0,F1 and F3 generations, lower egg hatching in F1 and F2 generations in transgenic lines A and B,shorter nymphal duration in F1 and F2 generations in transgenic line B,and the least total adult emergence in the transgenic line C in F0 and F3 generations. Conclusions These findings suggest that the transgenic cotton lines expressing fern protein disrupts whitefly populations and the life cycle to a certain extent. However, results are not consistent over generations and years of study, indicating these transgenic lines were not superior over control lines and need to be improved in future breeding.

文摘In an aircraft final assembly line(AFAL),the rational scheduling of assembly workers to complete tasks in an orderly manner is crucial for enhancing production efficiency. This paper addresses the multi-skilled worker scheduling problem in the AFAL,where the processing time of each task varies due to the assigned workers’skill levels, referred to as variable duration. The objective is to minimize the makespan,i.e.,the total time required for all workers to complete all tasks.A mixed integer linear programming model is formulated under complex constraints including assembly precedence relations, skill requirements, worker skill capabilities, and workspace capacities. To solve the model effectively,a multi-pass priority rule-based heuristic(MPRH)algorithm is proposed. This algorithm integrates 14 activity priority rules and nine worker priority rules with worker weights.Extensive experiments iteratively the best-performing priority rules, and the most effective rule subsets are integrated through a lightweight multi-pass mechanism to enhance its efficiency. The computational results demonstrate that the MPRH can find high-quality solutions effectively within very short central processing unit central processing unit(CPU)time compared to GUROBI.A case study based on real data obtained from an AFAL confirms the necessity and the feasibility of the approach in practical applications.Sensitivity analyses provide valuable insights to real production scenarios.
