Background Leaf area is a crucial indicator of plant growth and physiology,with direct measurements being destructive to the plant.This study aimed to develop and compare machine learning models[support vector regress...Background Leaf area is a crucial indicator of plant growth and physiology,with direct measurements being destructive to the plant.This study aimed to develop and compare machine learning models[support vector regression(SVR),adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS),and deep multilayer perceptron(DMLP)]and linear regression(LRM)for the nondestructive prediction of leaf area in five colored cotton cultivars.A total of 1334 leaves were sampled,and their length(L),width(W),and leaf area(LA)were determined via digitized images.The models were developed using 70%of the data for training and 30%for validation.Their performance was evaluated using the coefficient of determination(R^(2)),root mean square error,mean absolute error,mean absolute percentage error,and Willmott's index of agreement.Results The results showed that the machine learning models,notably the ANFIS(triangular membership function),the DMLP(2-16-16-1 configuration),and the SVR[radial basis function(RBF)kernel],significantly outperformed the linear regression models in leaf area estimation accuracy.The ANFIS and DMLP models achieved the highest R^(2)(0.9793,test),followed by the SVR model(R^(2)=0.9790,test),all with minimal errors.Among the linear models,the LRM(using the L×W product)was the most effective(R^(2)=0.9783).Conclusions On the basis of the performance criteria of the models,the machine learning models are more accurate for the nondestructive estimation of leaf area in colored cotton.The best-performing model(SVR with RBF kernel)was made available in an interactive web application,aiming to optimize crop management with accurate and nondestructive data.展开更多
In order to investigate the penetration performance of Linear-Shaped Charge(LSC),Embowed LinearShaped Charge(ELSC),and Embowed Linear Explosively Formed Projectile(ELEFP)on T-shaped stiffened plates,a series of near-f...In order to investigate the penetration performance of Linear-Shaped Charge(LSC),Embowed LinearShaped Charge(ELSC),and Embowed Linear Explosively Formed Projectile(ELEFP)on T-shaped stiffened plates,a series of near-field air-burst experiments are conducted.The damage modes and characteristics of the target plates are compared and analyzed.Each flat plate section is completely punctured,resulting in a penetration hole.The damage modes induced by the three charge types on the stiffened plate structure are consistent,characterized by shear failure in the central region of the flat plate due to penetration by the penetrator,localized plastic deformation of the flat plate,and local penetration failure resulting from partial perforation of the central stiffener.The penetration lengths caused by ELSC and ELEFP are 45.1%and 46.1% larger than that of LSC,while the half-width of the penetration hole generated by ELEFP is 54.2% and 24.7% smaller than that of ELSC and LSC,respectively.The penetration height caused by ELEFP are 17.5%and 62.1% larger than that of ELSC and LSC,respectively.The stiffener effectively segments the damage area,enhancing the local structural strength and limiting the extent of plastic deformation in the flat plate section.The comparative results show that the ELSC proves to be more effective for efficient large-scale damage,and ELEFP is more suitable for achieving efficient localized damage.展开更多
This study aims to establish an integrated sensitivity analysis framework for optimization and design of the dynamic performance of mechanical systems such as tracked vehicles,by combining the direct differentiation m...This study aims to establish an integrated sensitivity analysis framework for optimization and design of the dynamic performance of mechanical systems such as tracked vehicles,by combining the direct differentiation method(DDM)with the linear multibody system transfer matrix method(linear MSTMM).The rigid-flexible coupled multibody system dynamics model of a tracked vehicle is established using the linear MSTMM and validated through the modal test.Building upon the existing DDM-based eigenvalue sensitivity analysis method within the linear MSTMM,the DDM is embedded into it to enable programmable and efficient computation of dynamic response sensitivities for mechanical systems.The proposed approach is used to quantitatively evaluate the sensitivities of both natural vibration characteristics(e.g.,natural frequencies and mode shapes)and transient dynamic responses of the tracked vehicle with respect to system parameters,successfully identifying critical structural parameters.Compared to conventional finite difference methods,the developed methodology eliminates sensitivity to perturbation step sizes.The contributions of this work lie in establishing a unified theoretical foundation and analysis framework for guiding dynamics optimization and design of mechanical systems,and extending the applicability of the linear MSTMM to sensitivity analysis of transient dynamic responses.展开更多
Offshore structures are constantly subjected to the complex forces of the marine environment,including wind,sea waves,currents,and seismic loadings.Among these,wind and sea wave forces persist throughout the structure...Offshore structures are constantly subjected to the complex forces of the marine environment,including wind,sea waves,currents,and seismic loadings.Among these,wind and sea wave forces persist throughout the structure’s lifetime.This study proposes a dynamic analysis approach that incorporates both time and frequency domain methods to investigate the structural responses of offshore structures under the combined effects of wind and wave forces.A wind wave-pier coupling dynamic model is first developed using a small-scale single pier,with corresponding dynamic equilibrium equations established.Fluctuating wind and sea waves are simulated using the weighted amplitude wave superposition(WAWS)method and linear superposition,respectively.Wind and wave load histories are then derived via Fourier transforms.The structural dynamic responses under different loading scenarios(wind only,wave only,and combined wind and wave)are analyzed using the Newmark β method.Additionally,the effects of varying wind and wave parameters on structural responses are evaluated.The simulation results demonstrate that the structural responses to wind-wave coupling are smaller than the superimposed effects of wind and wave forces acting independently.When wind speeds are relatively low,wave forces dominate structural displacement and serve as the primary source of vibration.展开更多
A high-speed train travelling from the open air into a narrow tunnel will cause the“sonic boom”at tunnel exit.When the maglev train’s speed reaches 600 km/h,the train-tunnel aerodynamic effect is intensified,so a n...A high-speed train travelling from the open air into a narrow tunnel will cause the“sonic boom”at tunnel exit.When the maglev train’s speed reaches 600 km/h,the train-tunnel aerodynamic effect is intensified,so a new mitigation method is urgently expected to be explored.This study proposed a novel asymptotic linear method(ALM)for micro pressure wave(MPW)mitigation to achieve a constant gradient of initial c ompression waves(ICWs),via a study with various open ratios on hoods.The properties of ICWs and MPWs under various open ratios of hoods were analyzed.The results show that as the open ratio increases,the MPW amplitude at the tunnel exit initially decreases before rising.At the open ratio of 2.28%,the slope of the ICW curve is linearly coincident with a supposed straight line in the ALM,which further reduces the MPW amplitude by 26.9%at 20 m and 20.0%at 50 m from the exit,as compared to the unvented hood.Therefore,the proposed method effectively mitigates MPW and quickly determines the upper limit of alleviation for the MPW amplitude at a fixed train-tunnel operation condition.All achievements provide a ne w potential measure for the adaptive design of tunnel hoods.展开更多

In this paper,a linear optimization method(LOM)for the design of terahertz circuits is presented,aimed at enhancing the simulation efficacy and reducing the time of the circuit design workflow.This method enables the ...In this paper,a linear optimization method(LOM)for the design of terahertz circuits is presented,aimed at enhancing the simulation efficacy and reducing the time of the circuit design workflow.This method enables the rapid determination of optimal embedding impedance for diodes across a specific bandwidth to achieve maximum efficiency through harmonic balance simulations.By optimizing the linear matching circuit with the optimal embedding impedance,the method effectively segregates the simulation of the linear segments from the nonlinear segments in the frequency multiplier circuit,substantially improving the speed of simulations.The design of on-chip linear matching circuits adopts a modular circuit design strategy,incorporating fixed load resistors to simplify the matching challenge.Utilizing this approach,a 340 GHz frequency doubler was developed and measured.The results demonstrate that,across a bandwidth of 330 GHz to 342 GHz,the efficiency of the doubler remains above 10%,with an input power ranging from 98 mW to 141mW and an output power exceeding 13 mW.Notably,at an input power of 141 mW,a peak output power of 21.8 mW was achieved at 334 GHz,corresponding to an efficiency of 15.8%.展开更多

Rocks will suffer different degree of damage under freeze-thaw(FT)cycles,which seriously threatens the long-term stability of rock engineering in cold regions.In order to study the mechanism of rock FT damage,energy c...Rocks will suffer different degree of damage under freeze-thaw(FT)cycles,which seriously threatens the long-term stability of rock engineering in cold regions.In order to study the mechanism of rock FT damage,energy calculation method and energy self-inhibition model are introduced to explore their energy characteristics in this paper.The applicability of the energy self-inhibition model was verified by combining the data of FT cycles and uniaxial compression tests of intact and pre-cracked sandstone samples,as well as published reference data.In addition,the energy evolution characteristics of FT damaged rocks were discussed accordingly.The results indicate that the energy self-inhibition model perfectly characterizes the energy accumulation characteristics of FT damaged rocks under uniaxial compression before the peak strength and the energy dissipation characteristics before microcrack unstable growth stage.Taking the FT damaged cyan sandstone sample as an example,it has gone through two stages dominated by energy dissipation mechanism and energy accumulation mechanism,and the energy rate curve of the pre-cracked sample shows a fall-rise phenomenon when approaching failure.Based on the published reference data,it was found that the peak total input energy and energy storage limit conform to an exponential FT decay model,with corresponding decay constants ranging from 0.0021 to 0.1370 and 0.0018 to 0.1945,respectively.Finally,a linear energy storage equation for FT damaged rocks was proposed,and its high reliability and applicability were verified by combining published reference data,the energy storage coefficient of different types of rocks ranged from 0.823 to 0.992,showing a negative exponential relationship with the initial UCS(uniaxial compressive strength).In summary,the mechanism by which FT weakens the mechanical properties of rocks has been revealed from an energy perspective in this paper,which can provide reference for related issues in cold regions.展开更多

文摘Rocks will suffer different degree of damage under freeze-thaw(FT)cycles,which seriously threatens the long-term stability of rock engineering in cold regions.In order to study the mechanism of rock FT damage,energy calculation method and energy self-inhibition model are introduced to explore their energy characteristics in this paper.The applicability of the energy self-inhibition model was verified by combining the data of FT cycles and uniaxial compression tests of intact and pre-cracked sandstone samples,as well as published reference data.In addition,the energy evolution characteristics of FT damaged rocks were discussed accordingly.The results indicate that the energy self-inhibition model perfectly characterizes the energy accumulation characteristics of FT damaged rocks under uniaxial compression before the peak strength and the energy dissipation characteristics before microcrack unstable growth stage.Taking the FT damaged cyan sandstone sample as an example,it has gone through two stages dominated by energy dissipation mechanism and energy accumulation mechanism,and the energy rate curve of the pre-cracked sample shows a fall-rise phenomenon when approaching failure.Based on the published reference data,it was found that the peak total input energy and energy storage limit conform to an exponential FT decay model,with corresponding decay constants ranging from 0.0021 to 0.1370 and 0.0018 to 0.1945,respectively.Finally,a linear energy storage equation for FT damaged rocks was proposed,and its high reliability and applicability were verified by combining published reference data,the energy storage coefficient of different types of rocks ranged from 0.823 to 0.992,showing a negative exponential relationship with the initial UCS(uniaxial compressive strength).In summary,the mechanism by which FT weakens the mechanical properties of rocks has been revealed from an energy perspective in this paper,which can provide reference for related issues in cold regions.

文摘This research focuses on detecting faults in flight vehicles with unstable subsystems operating asynchronously.By accounting for asynchronous switching,a switched model is established,and filters for fault detection(FD)in unstable subsystems are developed.The FD challenge is then transformed into an H∞filtering issue.Utilizing the multiple discontinuous Lyapunov function(MDLF)approach and the mode-dependent average dwell time(MDADT)method,sufficient conditions are derived to ensure stability during both fast and slow switching.Furthermore,the existence and solutions for FD filters are provided through linear matrix inequalities(LMIs).The simulation outcomes demonstrated the excellent performance of the developed method in studied cases.
文摘针对摄像机位姿问题提出了一种加权线性方法,其关键思想是通过加权使经典线性方法的代数误差近似于重投影算法的几何误差,从而达到接近于最大似然估计(Levenberg-Marquardt简称ML)的精度.通过对经典DLT(direct linear transformation)算法和EPnP算法使用加权的方法,给出了加权DLT算法(WDLT)和加权EPnP算法(WEPnP).大量模拟数据和真实图像实验结果均表明,WDLT和WEPnP算法不仅能提高DLT和EPnP算法的精度,而且在深度较小的情况下优于Lu的非线性算法.
