To address the eccentric error of circular marks in camera calibration,a circle location method based on the invariance of collinear points and pole–polar constraint is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the centers of t...To address the eccentric error of circular marks in camera calibration,a circle location method based on the invariance of collinear points and pole–polar constraint is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the centers of the ellipses are extracted,and the real concentric circle center projection equation is established by exploiting the cross ratio invariance of the collinear points.Subsequently,since the infinite lines passing through the centers of the marks are parallel,the other center projection coordinates are expressed as the solution problem of linear equations.The problem of projection deviation caused by using the center of the ellipse as the real circle center projection is addressed,and the results are utilized as the true image points to achieve the high precision camera calibration.As demonstrated by the simulations and practical experiments,the proposed method performs a better location and calibration performance by achieving the actual center projection of circular marks.The relevant results confirm the precision and robustness of the proposed approach.展开更多

To verify the hypothesis ...This thesis puts forward a conjecture that, owing to some unknown special character of light, it is impossible to determine whether the speed of light is variable by the interference method. To verify the hypothesis of the invariance of light speed, a new method must be found to take accurate measurement of the infinitesimal change in the travelling time of light. The thesis suggests the adoption of high frequency laser pulse technology to carry out the measurement. On the basis of this idea a new discriminating experiment is proposed to test the hypothesis of the invariance of light speed. The thesis also makes some forecast of the future prospects of this experiment and of the future development of the theory of special relativity.展开更多
To enhance the computational efficiency of spatio-temporally discretized phase-field models,we present a high-speed solver specifically designed for the Poisson equations,a component frequently used in the numerical c...To enhance the computational efficiency of spatio-temporally discretized phase-field models,we present a high-speed solver specifically designed for the Poisson equations,a component frequently used in the numerical computation of such models.This efficient solver employs algorithms based on discrete cosine transformations(DCT)or discrete sine transformations(DST)and is not restricted by any spatio-temporal schemes.Our proposed methodology is appropriate for a variety of phase-field models and is especially efficient when combined with flow field systems.Meanwhile,this study has conducted an extensive numerical comparison and found that employing DCT and DST techniques not only yields results comparable to those obtained via the Multigrid(MG)method,a conventional approach used in the resolution of the Poisson equations,but also enhances computational efficiency by over 90%.展开更多

The method is based on the idea of the instrumental sensors method (ISM), two well-calibrated sensors are added into the original array. By applying the principle of estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques (ESPRIT), the direction-of-arrivals (DOAs) and uncertainties can be estimated simultaneously through eigen-decomposition. Compared with the conventional ones, this new method has less computational complexity while has higher estimation precision, what's more, it can overcome the problem of ambiguity. In order to realize the improved TS-ESPRIT, the proposed algorithm divides the planar array into multiple uniform sub-planar arrays with common reference point to get a unified phase shifts measurement point for all sub-arrays. The TS-ESPRIT is applied to each sub-array separately, and in the same time with the others to realize the parallelly temporal and spatial processing, so that it reduces the non-linearity effect of model and decreases the computational time. Then, the time difference of arrival (TDOA) technique is applied to combine the multiple sub-arrays in order to form the improved TS-ESPRIT. It is found that the proposed method achieves high accuracy at a low signal to noise ratio (SNR) with low computational complexity, leading to enhancement of the estimators performance.展开更多
A low-complexity method for direction of arrival(DOA) estimation based on estimation signal parameters via rotational invariance technique(ESPRIT) is proposed.Instead of using the cross-correlation vectors in mult...A low-complexity method for direction of arrival(DOA) estimation based on estimation signal parameters via rotational invariance technique(ESPRIT) is proposed.Instead of using the cross-correlation vectors in multistage Wiener filter(MSWF),the orthogonal residual vectors obtained in conjugate gradient(CG) method span the signal subspace used by ESPRIT.The computational complexity of the proposed method is significantly reduced,since the signal subspace estimation mainly needs two matrixvector complex multiplications at the iteration of data level.Furthermore,the prior training data are not needed in the proposed method.To overcome performance degradation at low signal to noise ratio(SNR),the expanded signal subspace spanned by more basis vectors is used and simultaneously renders ESPRIT yield redundant DOAs,which can be excluded by performing ESPRIT once more using the unexpanded signal subspace.Compared with the traditional ESPRIT methods by MSWF and eigenvalue decomposition(EVD),numerical results demonstrate the satisfactory performance of the proposed method.展开更多

Firstly, invari...To weaken the nonlinear coupling influence among the variables in the speed and tension system of reversible cold strip mill, a compound control(CC) strategy based on invariance principle was proposed. Firstly, invariance principle was used to realize static decoupling between the speed and tension of reversible cold strip mill. Then, considering the influence caused by the time variation of steel coil radius and rotational inertia of the left and right coilers, as well as the uncertainties, a CC strategy that is composed of extended state observer(ESO) and global sliding mode control(GSMC) with backstepping adaptive was proposed,which further realized dynamic decoupling and coordination control for the speed and tension system. Theoretical analysis shows that the resulting closed-loop system is global bounded stable. Finally, the simulation was carried out on the speed and tension system of a 1422 mm reversible cold strip mill by using the actual data, and through the comparison of the other control strategies, validity of the proposed CC strategy was shown by the results.展开更多
Singular point(SP)extraction is a key component in automatic fingerprint identification system(AFIS).A new method was proposed for fingerprint singular points extraction,based on orientation tensor field and Laurent s...Singular point(SP)extraction is a key component in automatic fingerprint identification system(AFIS).A new method was proposed for fingerprint singular points extraction,based on orientation tensor field and Laurent series.First,fingerprint orientation flow field was obtained,using the gradient of fingerprint image.With these gradients,fingerprint orientation tensor field was calculated.Then,candidate SPs were detected by the cross-correlation energy in multi-scale Gaussian space.The energy was calculated between fingerprint orientation tensor field and Laurent polynomial model.As a global descriptor,the Laurent polynomial coefficients were allowed for rotational invariance.Furthermore,a support vector machine(SVM)classifier was trained to remove spurious SPs,using cross-correlation coefficient as a feature vector.Finally,experiments were performed on Singular Point Detection Competition 2010(SPD2010)database.Compared to the winner algorithm of SPD2010 which has best accuracy of 31.90%,the accuracy of proposed algorithm is 45.34%.The results show that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art detection algorithms by large margin,and the detection is invariant to rotational transformations.展开更多

A two-dimensional direction findin...The existing direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms based on the electromagnetic vector sensors array barely deal with the coexisting of independent and coherent signals. A two-dimensional direction finding method using an L-shape electromagnetic vector sensors array is proposed. According to this method, the DOAs of the independent signals and the coherent signals are estimated separately, so that the array aperture can be exploited sufficiently. Firstly, the DOAs of the independent signals are estimated by the estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques, and the influence of the co- herent signals can be eliminated by utilizing the property of the coherent signals. Then the data covariance matrix containing the information of the coherent signals only is obtained by exploiting the Toeplitz property of the independent signals, and an improved polarimetric angular smoothing technique is proposed to de-correlate the coherent signals. This new method is more practical in actual signal environment than common DOA estimation algorithms and can expand the array aperture. Simulation results are presented to show the estimating performance of the proposed method.展开更多

The frequency domain polari- zation parameters extracted from the signals are used to design the weighted function which is applied to the received signals. The bearing angle and the target frequency are estimated through ESPRIT using the weighted signals. A 3D motion and geometric information system of single-antenna radar is proposed,which can be supported by spotlight synthetic aperture radar(SAR) system and inverse SAR(ISAR) system involving relative 3D motion o...A 3D motion and geometric information system of single-antenna radar is proposed,which can be supported by spotlight synthetic aperture radar(SAR) system and inverse SAR(ISAR) system involving relative 3D motion of the rigid target.In this system,applying the geometry invariance of the rigid target,the unknown 3D shape and motion of the radar target can be reconstructed from the 1D range data of some scatterers extracted from the high-resolution range image.Compared with the current 1D-to-3D algorithm,in the proposed algorithm,the requirement of the 1D range data is expanded to incomplete formation involving large angular motion of the target and hence,the quantity of the scatterers and the abundance of 3D motion are enriched.Furthermore,with the three selected affine coordinates fixed,the multi-solution problem of the reconstruction is solved and the technique of nonlinear optimization can be successfully utilized in the system.Two simulations are implemented which verify the higher robustness of the system and the better performance of the 3D reconstruction for the radar target with unknown relative motion.展开更多

However, this case exists widely in practical applicati...In most literature about joint direction of arrival(DOA) and polarization estimation, the case that sources possess different power levels is seldom discussed. However, this case exists widely in practical applications, especially in passive radar systems. In this paper, we propose a joint DOA and polarization estimation method for unequal power sources based on the reconstructed noise subspace. The invariance property of noise subspace(IPNS) to power of sources has been proved an effective method to estimate DOA of unequal power sources. We develop the IPNS method for joint DOA and polarization estimation based on a dual polarized array. Moreover, we propose an improved IPNS method based on the reconstructed noise subspace, which has higher resolution probability than the IPNS method. It is theoretically proved that the IPNS to power of sources is still valid when the eigenvalues of the noise subspace are changed artificially. Simulation results show that the resolution probability of the proposed method is enhanced compared with the methods based on the IPNS and the polarimetric multiple signal classification(MUSIC) method. Meanwhile, the proposed method has approximately the same estimation accuracy as the IPNS method for the weak source.展开更多

The symbols detection problem of the V-BLAST OFDM system is investigated under the frequency-selective fading environment. The joint space-frequency demultiplexing operation is proposed in the V-BLAST OFDM system. Successively, one novel half-rate rotational invariance joint space-frequency coding scheme for the V-BLAST OFDM system is proposed. By elegantly exploiting the above rotational invariance property, we derive one direct symbols detection scheme without knowing channels state information (CSI) for the frequency-selective V-BLAST OFDM system. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the validity of the novel half-rate rotational invariance joint space-frequency coding scheme and the performance of the direct symbols detection scheme.展开更多

A Gedanken experiment is proposed to disprove Einstein's light speed invariance; the 4-dimension invariant seems invalid because it is impossible for the time and spatial coordinate variables to be orthogonal, because of their presumed cross-correlations; and the Lorentz transformation is therefore bounded to have an intrinsic arbitrariness. In addition, the well-known topic of the 'relativity of simultaneity' turns out to be false proposition, because of at least one logical error made by Einstein that violates the two postulates of his own theory. Einstein's theory is flooded with vital errors and flaws, and must be reexamined thoroughly as soon as possible.展开更多
Local invariant algorithm applied in downward-looking image registration,usually computes the camera's pose relative to visual landmarks.Generally,there are three requirements in the process of image registration whe...Local invariant algorithm applied in downward-looking image registration,usually computes the camera's pose relative to visual landmarks.Generally,there are three requirements in the process of image registration when using these approaches.First,the algorithm is apt to be influenced by illumination.Second,algorithm should have less computational complexity.Third,the depth information of images needs to be estimated without other sensors.This paper investigates a famous local invariant feature named speeded up robust feature(SURF),and proposes a highspeed and robust image registration and localization algorithm based on it.With supports from feature tracking and pose estimation methods,the proposed algorithm can compute camera poses under different conditions of scale,viewpoint and rotation so as to precisely localize object's position.At last,the study makes registration experiment by scale invariant feature transform(SIFT),SURF and the proposed algorithm,and designs a method to evaluate their performances.Furthermore,this study makes object retrieval test on remote sensing video.For there is big deformation on remote sensing frames,the registration algorithm absorbs the Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi(KLT) 3-D coplanar calibration feature tracker methods,which can localize interesting targets precisely and efficiently.The experimental results prove that the proposed method has a higher localization speed and lower localization error rate than traditional visual simultaneous localization and mapping(vSLAM) in a period of time.展开更多

A robust method for extracting scale-invariant feature poi...Stable local feature detection is a fundamental component of many stereo vision problems such as 3-D reconstruction, object localization, and object tracking. A robust method for extracting scale-invariant feature points is presented. First, the Harris corners in three-level pyramid are extracted. Then, the points detected at the highest level of the pyramid are correctly propagated to the lower level by pyramid based scale invariant (PBSI) method. The corners detected repeatedly in different levels are chosen as final feature points. Finally, the characteristic scale is obtained based on maximum entropy method. The experimental results show that the algorithm has low computation cost, strong antinoise capability, and excellent performance in the presence of significant scale changes.展开更多

文摘Singular point(SP)extraction is a key component in automatic fingerprint identification system(AFIS).A new method was proposed for fingerprint singular points extraction,based on orientation tensor field and Laurent series.First,fingerprint orientation flow field was obtained,using the gradient of fingerprint image.With these gradients,fingerprint orientation tensor field was calculated.Then,candidate SPs were detected by the cross-correlation energy in multi-scale Gaussian space.The energy was calculated between fingerprint orientation tensor field and Laurent polynomial model.As a global descriptor,the Laurent polynomial coefficients were allowed for rotational invariance.Furthermore,a support vector machine(SVM)classifier was trained to remove spurious SPs,using cross-correlation coefficient as a feature vector.Finally,experiments were performed on Singular Point Detection Competition 2010(SPD2010)database.Compared to the winner algorithm of SPD2010 which has best accuracy of 31.90%,the accuracy of proposed algorithm is 45.34%.The results show that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art detection algorithms by large margin,and the detection is invariant to rotational transformations.

文摘The existing direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms based on the electromagnetic vector sensors array barely deal with the coexisting of independent and coherent signals. A two-dimensional direction finding method using an L-shape electromagnetic vector sensors array is proposed. According to this method, the DOAs of the independent signals and the coherent signals are estimated separately, so that the array aperture can be exploited sufficiently. Firstly, the DOAs of the independent signals are estimated by the estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques, and the influence of the co- herent signals can be eliminated by utilizing the property of the coherent signals. Then the data covariance matrix containing the information of the coherent signals only is obtained by exploiting the Toeplitz property of the independent signals, and an improved polarimetric angular smoothing technique is proposed to de-correlate the coherent signals. This new method is more practical in actual signal environment than common DOA estimation algorithms and can expand the array aperture. Simulation results are presented to show the estimating performance of the proposed method.

文摘A decoupling-estimation signal parameters via rotarional invariance technique(ESPRIT) method is presented for multi-target localization with unknown mutual coupling in bistatic multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) radar.Two steps are carried out in this method.The decoupling operation between angle and mutual coupling estimates is realized by choosing the auxiliary elements on both sides of the transmit and receive uniform linear arrays(ULAs).Then the ESPRIT method is resilient against the unknown mutual coupling matrix(MCM) and can be directly utilized to estimate the direction of departure(DOD) and the direction of arrival(DOA).Moreover,the mutual coupling coefficient is estimated by finding the solution of the linear constrained optimization problem.The proposed method allows an efficient DOD and DOA estimates with automatic pairing.Simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘The signal to noise ratio (SNR) of seismic waves is usually very low after long distance transmission. For this condition, to improve the bearing estimation capability in the low SNR, a frequency domain polarization weighted ESPRIT method using a single vector device is proposed. The frequency domain polari- zation parameters extracted from the signals are used to design the weighted function which is applied to the received signals. The bearing angle and the target frequency are estimated through ESPRIT using the weighted signals. The simulation and experiment results show that the presented method can obtain accurate estimation values under the low SNR with little prior information.

文摘A 3D motion and geometric information system of single-antenna radar is proposed,which can be supported by spotlight synthetic aperture radar(SAR) system and inverse SAR(ISAR) system involving relative 3D motion of the rigid target.In this system,applying the geometry invariance of the rigid target,the unknown 3D shape and motion of the radar target can be reconstructed from the 1D range data of some scatterers extracted from the high-resolution range image.Compared with the current 1D-to-3D algorithm,in the proposed algorithm,the requirement of the 1D range data is expanded to incomplete formation involving large angular motion of the target and hence,the quantity of the scatterers and the abundance of 3D motion are enriched.Furthermore,with the three selected affine coordinates fixed,the multi-solution problem of the reconstruction is solved and the technique of nonlinear optimization can be successfully utilized in the system.Two simulations are implemented which verify the higher robustness of the system and the better performance of the 3D reconstruction for the radar target with unknown relative motion.

文摘In this paper,we propose a beam space coversion(BSC)-based approach to achieve a single near-field signal local-ization under uniform circular array(UCA).By employing the centro-symmetric geometry of UCA,we apply BSC to extract the two-dimensional(2-D)angles of near-field signal in the Van-dermonde form,which allows for azimuth and elevation angle estimation by utilizing the improved estimation of signal para-meters via rotational invariance techniques(ESPRIT)algorithm.By substituting the calculated 2-D angles into the direction vec-tor of near-field signal,the range parameter can be conse-quently obtained by the 1-D multiple signal classification(MU-SIC)method.Simulations demonstrate that the proposed al-gorithm can achieve a single near-field signal localization,which can provide satisfactory performance and reduce computational complexity.

文摘In most literature about joint direction of arrival(DOA) and polarization estimation, the case that sources possess different power levels is seldom discussed. However, this case exists widely in practical applications, especially in passive radar systems. In this paper, we propose a joint DOA and polarization estimation method for unequal power sources based on the reconstructed noise subspace. The invariance property of noise subspace(IPNS) to power of sources has been proved an effective method to estimate DOA of unequal power sources. We develop the IPNS method for joint DOA and polarization estimation based on a dual polarized array. Moreover, we propose an improved IPNS method based on the reconstructed noise subspace, which has higher resolution probability than the IPNS method. It is theoretically proved that the IPNS to power of sources is still valid when the eigenvalues of the noise subspace are changed artificially. Simulation results show that the resolution probability of the proposed method is enhanced compared with the methods based on the IPNS and the polarimetric multiple signal classification(MUSIC) method. Meanwhile, the proposed method has approximately the same estimation accuracy as the IPNS method for the weak source.
文摘As the combining form of the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) technique and the vertical Bell Labs layered space-time (V-BLAST) architecture, the V-BLAST OFDM system can better meet the demand of next-generation (NextG) broadband mobile wireless multimedia communications. The symbols detection problem of the V-BLAST OFDM system is investigated under the frequency-selective fading environment. The joint space-frequency demultiplexing operation is proposed in the V-BLAST OFDM system. Successively, one novel half-rate rotational invariance joint space-frequency coding scheme for the V-BLAST OFDM system is proposed. By elegantly exploiting the above rotational invariance property, we derive one direct symbols detection scheme without knowing channels state information (CSI) for the frequency-selective V-BLAST OFDM system. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the validity of the novel half-rate rotational invariance joint space-frequency coding scheme and the performance of the direct symbols detection scheme.
文摘This paper examines some basic propositions of the special relativity theory. A Gedanken experiment is proposed to disprove Einstein's light speed invariance; the 4-dimension invariant seems invalid because it is impossible for the time and spatial coordinate variables to be orthogonal, because of their presumed cross-correlations; and the Lorentz transformation is therefore bounded to have an intrinsic arbitrariness. In addition, the well-known topic of the 'relativity of simultaneity' turns out to be false proposition, because of at least one logical error made by Einstein that violates the two postulates of his own theory. Einstein's theory is flooded with vital errors and flaws, and must be reexamined thoroughly as soon as possible.

文摘Local invariant algorithm applied in downward-looking image registration,usually computes the camera's pose relative to visual landmarks.Generally,there are three requirements in the process of image registration when using these approaches.First,the algorithm is apt to be influenced by illumination.Second,algorithm should have less computational complexity.Third,the depth information of images needs to be estimated without other sensors.This paper investigates a famous local invariant feature named speeded up robust feature(SURF),and proposes a highspeed and robust image registration and localization algorithm based on it.With supports from feature tracking and pose estimation methods,the proposed algorithm can compute camera poses under different conditions of scale,viewpoint and rotation so as to precisely localize object's position.At last,the study makes registration experiment by scale invariant feature transform(SIFT),SURF and the proposed algorithm,and designs a method to evaluate their performances.Furthermore,this study makes object retrieval test on remote sensing video.For there is big deformation on remote sensing frames,the registration algorithm absorbs the Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi(KLT) 3-D coplanar calibration feature tracker methods,which can localize interesting targets precisely and efficiently.The experimental results prove that the proposed method has a higher localization speed and lower localization error rate than traditional visual simultaneous localization and mapping(vSLAM) in a period of time.

文摘On the basis of scale invariant feature transform(SIFT) descriptors,a novel kind of local invariants based on SIFT sequence scale(SIFT-SS) is proposed and applied to target classification.First of all,the merits of using an SIFT algorithm for target classification are discussed.Secondly,the scales of SIFT descriptors are sorted by descending as SIFT-SS,which is sent to a support vector machine(SVM) with radial based function(RBF) kernel in order to train SVM classifier,which will be used for achieving target classification.Experimental results indicate that the SIFT-SS algorithm is efficient for target classification and can obtain a higher recognition rate than affine moment invariants(AMI) and multi-scale auto-convolution(MSA) in some complex situations,such as the situation with the existence of noises and occlusions.Moreover,the computational time of SIFT-SS is shorter than MSA and longer than AMI.

文摘Stable local feature detection is a fundamental component of many stereo vision problems such as 3-D reconstruction, object localization, and object tracking. A robust method for extracting scale-invariant feature points is presented. First, the Harris corners in three-level pyramid are extracted. Then, the points detected at the highest level of the pyramid are correctly propagated to the lower level by pyramid based scale invariant (PBSI) method. The corners detected repeatedly in different levels are chosen as final feature points. Finally, the characteristic scale is obtained based on maximum entropy method. The experimental results show that the algorithm has low computation cost, strong antinoise capability, and excellent performance in the presence of significant scale changes.
