The method ensures not only the continuity of the potential at the nodes of each element but also the velocity. It can be applied to a variety of velocity potential problems. The present paper, however, focused on its application to the problem of water entry of a wedge with varying speed. The continuity of the velocity achieved herein is particularly important for this kind of nonlinear free surface flow problem, because when the time stepping method is used, the free surface is updated through the velocity obtained at each node and the accuracy of the velocity is therefore crucial. Calculation was made for a case when the distance S that the wedge has travelled and time t follow the relationship s=Dtα, where D and α are constants, which is found to lead to a self similar flow field when the effect due to gravity is ignored.展开更多

Herein, a series of three dimensional ordered hierarchically porous carbon(3D OHPC) materials with micro/meso/macropores are designed and synthesized for Li-Se battery. The porous structure is tuned by following the concept of the generalized Murray’s law to facilitate the mass diffusion and reduce ion transport resistance. The optimized 3D Se/OHPC cathode exhibits a very high 2 nd discharge capacity of 651 m Ah/g and retains 361 m Ah/g after 200 cycles at 0.2 C. Even at a high current rate of 5 C, the battery still shows a discharge capacity as high as 155 m Ah/g. The improved electrochemical performance is attributed to the synergy effect of the interconnected and well-designed micro, meso and macroporosity while shortened ions diffusion pathways of such Murray materials accelerate its ionic and electronic conductivities leading to the enhanced electrochemical reaction. The diffusivity coefficient in Se/OHPC can reach a very high value of 1.3 × 10^(-11)cm^(2)/s, much higher than those in single pore size carbon hosts. Their effective volume expansion accommodation capability and reduced dissolution of polyselenides ensure the high stability of the battery. This work, for the first time, established the clear relationship between textural properties of cathode materials and their performance and demonstrates that the concept of the generalized Murray’s law can be used as efficient guidance for the rational design and synthesis of advanced hierarchically porous materials and the great potential of 3D OHPC materials as a practical high performance cathode material for Li-Se batteries.展开更多

The time–frequency profile of the harmonics shows that the long quantum trajectory is dominant at both lower and higher gas densities for a low laser intensity. At high laser intensities, the long quantum trajectory plays an important role for lower gas densities, while the short quantum trajectory is dominant at higher gas densities. An analysis of the phase mismatch for high-order harmonic generation shows that the primary emission of the quantum trajectories is determined by dynamic changes in the laser electric field during the propagation process.展开更多

The spatial distribution in HHG demonstrates that the harmonic spectra are sensitive to the carrier envelope phase and the duration of the laser pulse. The HHG can be restrained by a pulse with the duration of 5 fs in the region from the 90 th to 320th order. This characteristic is illustrated by the probability density of electron wave packet distribution. The electron is mainly located near the nucleus along the positive-x direction from 3.0 o.c. to 3.2 o.c., which is an important time to generate the HHG in the plateau area. We also demonstrate the time-frequency distribution in the region of the positive-and negative-x direction to explain the physical mechanism.展开更多

The transmittance formula is applied to the first-, first two-, and first three-order nonlinearities. It is found that in the case that the MPI cross section is relatively small, there exists a big difference between the electron density as well as clamped intensity calculated in the classical model and those calculated in the HOK one, while in the case that the MPI cross section is relatively large, the electron density and clamped intensity calculated in the two models are nearly in agreement with each other, and under this circumstance, even if the higher-order nonlinear terms do exist, the free-charge generation and the associated defocusing in a filament are enough to mask their effects. The different behaviors of the maximum intensity and on-axis electron density at the collapse position with the pulse duration provides an approach to determine which effect plays the dominant defocusing role. These results demonstrate that it is ionization that results in the difference between the two models.展开更多

The high-order harmonic generation (HHG) of the initial state separately being the ground and excited states is presented. When the hardness parameter a in the soft Coulomb potential V(x) =-1√x^2+α is chosen to be small enough, the so-called hard Coulomb potential V(x)=1/|x| can be obtained. It is well known that the hard one-dimensional Coulomb atom has an unstable ground state with an energy eigenvalue of - 0.5 and it has no states corresponding to physical states in the true atoms, and has the first and second excited states being degenerate. The parity effects on the HHG can be seen from the first and second excited states of the hard one-dimensional Coulomb atom. The HHG spectra of the excited states from both the soft and hard Coulomb atom models are shown to have more complex structures and to be much stronger than the corresponding HHG spectrum of the ground state of the soft Coulomb model with a = 2 in the same laser field. Laser-induced non-resonant one-photon emission is also observed.展开更多

The scaling law states that when the atomic binding energy Eb, the wavelength ), and the intensity I of the laser field change simultaneously to kEb, λ/k, and k3I, respectively. The characteristics of the HHG spectrum remain unchanged, while the harmonic yield is enhanced k3 times. That HHG obeys the same scaling law with above-threshold ionization is a solid proof of the fact that the two physical processes have similar physical mechanisms. These results demonstrate that it is ionization that results in the difference between the two models.

Laser-induced non-resonant one-photon emission is also observed.
文摘In this paper, we consider two extended systems. When using them for the two parameter bifurcation problems, the simple bifurcation point with regard to lambda on turn into the simple turning point with. regard to mu. Simple high orde bifurcation point is first studied without using the symmetry condition.

文摘This paper studies the coupled Burgers equation and the high-order Boussinesq-Burgers equation. The Hirota bilinear method is applied to show that the two equations are completely integrable. Multiple-kink (soliton) solutions and multiple-singular-kink (soliton) solutions are derived for the two equations.

文摘We demonstrate theoretically that the high-order harmonic of an atom can be generated by a circularly polarized laser pulse. The harmonic spectrum shows a clear cutoff with an energy Ip + 2Up.In particular, the high-order harmonic generation comes from the multiple recombination of the ionized electron with non-zero initial velocity. These results are verified by the classical model theory and the time-frequency analysis of a harmonic spectrum.

文摘Using a nonperturbative quantum electrodynamics theory of high-order harmonic generation (HHG), a scaling law of HHG is established. The variation of integrated harmonic yields is also discussed.
