Undrained cyclic simple shear characteristics of transparent sand manufactured by fused quartz

Transparent sand is a special material to realize visualization of concealed work in geotechnical engineering. To investigate the dynamic characteristics of transparent sand, a series of undrained cyclic simple shear tests were conducted on the saturated transparent sand composed of fused quartz and refractive index-matched oil mixture. The results reveal that an increase in the initial shear stress ratio significantly affects the shape of the hysteresis loop, particularly resulting in more pronounced asymmetrical accumulation. Factors such as lower relative density, higher cyclic stress ratios and higher initial shear stress ratio have been shown to accelerate cyclic deformation, cyclic pore water pressure and stiffness degradation. The cyclic liquefaction resistance curves decrease as the initial shear stress ratio increases or as relative density decreases. Booker model and power law function model were applied to predict the pore water pressure for transparent sand. Both models yielded excellent fits for their respective condition, indicating a similar dynamic liquefaction pattern to that of natural sands. Finally, transparent sand displays similar dynamic characteristics in terms of cyclic liquefaction resistance and Kα correction factor. These comparisons indicate that transparent sand can serve as an effective means to mimic many natural sands in dynamic model tests. 展开更多

本文旨在研究基于fused惩罚的稀疏主成分分析方法,以适用于相邻变量之间高度相关甚至完全相等的数据情形。首先,从回归分析角度出发,提出一种求解稀疏主成分的简便思路,给出一种广义的稀疏主成分模型——GSPCA模型及其求解算法,并证明... 本文旨在研究基于fused惩罚的稀疏主成分分析方法,以适用于相邻变量之间高度相关甚至完全相等的数据情形。首先,从回归分析角度出发,提出一种求解稀疏主成分的简便思路,给出一种广义的稀疏主成分模型——GSPCA模型及其求解算法,并证明在惩罚函数取1-范数时,该模型与现有的稀疏主成分模型——SPC模型的求解结果一致。其次,提出将fused惩罚与主成分分析相结合,得到一种fused稀疏主成分分析方法,并从惩罚性矩阵分解和回归分析两个角度,给出两种模型形式。在理论上证明了两种模型的求解结果是一致的,故将其统称为FSPCA模型。模拟实验显示,FSPCA模型在处理相邻变量之间高度相关甚至完全相等的数据集上表现良好。最后,将FSPCA模型应用于手写数字识别,发现与SPC模型相比,FSPCA模型所提取的主成分具备更好的解释性。 展开更多

随着云计算、大数据进一步的发展,促使提供计算服务的单个节点的硬件性能不断的提升,但数据中心资源利用率较低,且可扩展性较差的问题始终存在。人们试图从各个方面解决这个问题。复内核操作系统Popcorn Linux就是其中一个比较典型的解... 随着云计算、大数据进一步的发展,促使提供计算服务的单个节点的硬件性能不断的提升,但数据中心资源利用率较低,且可扩展性较差的问题始终存在。人们试图从各个方面解决这个问题。复内核操作系统Popcorn Linux就是其中一个比较典型的解决方案。文件系统作为操作系统的重要组成部分,直接影响着数据中心应用的执行效率。传统的文件系统因为磁盘控制器的原因,无法移植到复内核操作系统上,从而难以满足新形势下的需求。针对这个问题,提出了一种全新的适用于复内核操作系统的文件系统POPFUSE。该文件系统基于FUSE框架实现,解决了因磁盘控制器有限,多个内核实例无法同时访问磁盘资源的问题,通过共享内存的方式,保证了通信的稳定,提高了文件系统的效率,进而促进了多个内核的操作系统整体性能的提升。 展开更多

BlueOcean是基于对象存储技术的大规模分布式存储系统,本文详细描述了该系统中高并发客户端的设计与实现.该高并发客户端基于FUSE(用户态文件系统)框架进行开发,既保证了通用性,也降低了软件开发和维护的难度;该客户端实现了大部分POSIX语义接口,支持现有的绝大部分应用软件在其上透明运行;同时该客户端采用事件驱动编程模型,相对于传统的同步客户端,提升了在多文件并发访问情况下的性能.测试表明,使用本文实现的高并发客户端输出BlueOcean存储系统时,随着并发访问文件数量的增多,系统总体的数据读写性能,元数据操作性能以及事务操作性能均有很显著的提升. 展开更多

Hedgehog信号通路在胚胎发育、组织再生中发挥重要的作用,且与癌症发生发展密切相关.其胞内调控组分Suppressor of Fused(SuFu)蛋白通过结合转录因子Gli(s),负调控该信号通路,但其作用的分子机制仍不甚清楚.在本项研究中,以人SuFu作为诱饵蛋白,利用酵母双杂交技术成功地筛选到1个新的相互作用因子—蛋白酶体成熟蛋白(POMP).通过免疫共沉淀、体外GST pull-down和免疫细胞化学实验验证其相互作用.为了探究POMP与SuFu的相互作用对Hedgehog信号通路的影响,构建了POMP的过表达质粒和干扰质粒(miR-RNAi)以及转录因子Gli活性检测系统,即荧光素酶报告基因法,结果显示,过表达SuFu蛋白时POMP正调控Hedgehog信号通路,而下调POMP的表达则抑制Gli的活性.该研究结果揭示了POMP新的生物学功能,为阐明Hedgehog信号通路的具体分子机制提供了新的线索. 展开更多

目的:研究髓母细胞瘤患者中发现的Supressor of Fused(Sufu)的突变位点与Sonic Hedgehog(Shh)信号通路异常激活之间的联系,从而揭示其与肿瘤生长发展之间的关系。方法:构建Sufu突变位点的表达质粒,通过定量PCR、蛋白免疫印迹实验检测Suf... 目的:研究髓母细胞瘤患者中发现的Supressor of Fused(Sufu)的突变位点与Sonic Hedgehog(Shh)信号通路异常激活之间的联系,从而揭示其与肿瘤生长发展之间的关系。方法:构建Sufu突变位点的表达质粒,通过定量PCR、蛋白免疫印迹实验检测Sufu突变体对Sufu^(-/-)细胞内源性Gli1表达水平的影响;通过免疫共沉淀检测Sufu突变体蛋白与Gli1的结合情况;通过MTT实验检测Sufu突变体对人髓母细胞瘤细胞(DAOY)生长增殖的影响。结果:定量PCR和蛋白免疫印迹实验发现,过表达Sufu的错义突变体(突变位点H87R)的Sufu^(-/-)细胞中内源性Gli1表达水平接近于过表达野生型Sufu的Sufu^(-/-)细胞,而过表达3个截短突变体(突变位点R146X、R299X、W430X)Sufu^(-/-)细胞中内源性Gli1表达水平相比于野生型明显增高。正常情况下野生型Sufu可以和Gli1蛋白结合,免疫共沉淀实验发现Sufu的突变体都不同程度地破坏了与Gli1蛋白的结合;蛋白周转速率实验发现Sufu的突变体可以通过蛋白酶体途径降解;MTT实验发现Sufu突变体失去了抑制DAOY细胞生长增殖的能力。结论:髓母细胞瘤患者身上观测到的Sufu突变位点可以驱动肿瘤的形成和生长,并通过细胞功能实验证实了Sufu通过结合Gli蛋白从而抑制其功能。 展开更多

Additive manufacturing(AM),also known as 3D-printing(3DP)technology,is an advanced manufacturing technology that has developed rapidly in the past 40 years.However,the ceramic material printing is still challenging because of the issue of cracking.Indirect 3D printing has been designed and drawn attention because of its high manufacturing speed and low cost.Indirect 3D printing separates the one-step forming process of direct 3D printing into binding and material sintering,avoiding the internal stress caused by rapid cooling,making it possible to realize the highquality ceramic component with complex shape.This paper presents the research progress of leading indirect 3D printing technologies,including binder jetting(BJ),stereolithography(SLA),and fused deposition modeling(FDM).At present,the additive manufacturing of ceramic materials is mainly achieved through indirect 3D printing technology,and these materials include silicon nitride,hydroxyapatite functional ceramics,silicon carbide structural ceramics. 展开更多

The evaluation index of camouflage patterns is important in the field of military application.It is the goal that researchers have always pursued to make the computable evaluation indicators more in line with the human visual mechanism.In order to make the evaluation method more computationally intelligent,a Multi-Feature Camouflage Fused Index(MF-CFI)is proposed based on the comparison of grayscale,color and texture features between the target and the background.In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed index,eye movement experiments are conducted to compare the proposed index with existing indexes including Universal Image Quality Index(UIQI),Camouflage Similarity Index(CSI)and Structural Similarity(SSIM).Twenty-four different simulated targets are designed in a grassland background,28 observers participate in the experiment and record the eye movement data during the observation process.The results show that the highest Pearson correlation coefficient is observed between MF-CFI and the eye movement data,both in the designed digital camouflage patterns and largespot camouflage patterns.Since MF-CFI is more in line with the detection law of camouflage targets in human visual perception,the proposed index can be used for the comparison and parameter optimization of camouflage design algorithms. 展开更多

To find out the effect of the shape of fused taper region on the optical fiber coupler, the fiber couplers were fabricated at different drawing speeds with a six-axes fiber coupler machine. The results, which were obtained fi'om the shape of fused taper region measured with microscope, show that there is a close correlation between the cone angle and optical performance of fiber coupler. High-performance fiber coupler cannot be obtained until rheological shape is controlled accurately. The numerical analysis model, which was built based on generalized Maxwell viscoelastic theory, is resolved with ANSYS software. The calculated results accord with the experimental data. It can apply a theoretic basis for forecasting the shape of fiber coupler fabricated under the conditions of different technological parameters. 展开更多

Through theoretical analysis and experiments, the viscoelastic mechanical model of optical fiber coupler in the process of fused biconical taper was established, and the numerical analysis in non-uniform temperature field was made. The results show that the rheological parameters, such as drawing speed and fused temperature, have a tremendous influence on stress distribution and performance of optical fiber coupler, especially the influence of fused temperature. The change of fused temperature by 5℃ can lead to the change of the maximum stress by 30% and stress difference by 20% in the same cross section. The change of temperature gradient by 3% can result in the change of stress difference by 90%. In the present condition of rheological technology, rheological defects such as crystallizations and microcracks are easy to generate in the optical fiber coupler. 展开更多

The butterfly unit is designed using floating-point fused arithmetic units. The fused arithmetic units include two-term dot product unit and add-subtract unit. In these arithmetic units, operations are performed over complex data values. A modified fused floating-point two-term dot product and an enhanced model for the Radix-4 FFT butterfly unit are proposed. The modified fused two-term dot product is designed using Radix-16 booth multiplier. Radix-16 booth multiplier will reduce the switching activities compared to Radix-8 booth multiplier in existing system and also will reduce the area required. The proposed architecture is implemented efficiently for Radix-4 decimation in time(DIT) FFT butterfly with the two floating-point fused arithmetic units. The proposed enhanced architecture is synthesized, implemented, placed and routed on a FPGA device using Xilinx ISE tool. It is observed that the Radix-4 DIT fused floating-point FFT butterfly requires 50.17% less space and 12.16% reduced power compared to the existing methods and the proposed enhanced model requires 49.82% less space on the FPGA device compared to the proposed design. Also, reduced power consumption is addressed by utilizing the reusability technique, which results in 11.42% of power reduction of the enhanced model compared to the proposed design. 展开更多

This research work is carried out to study the friction and wear behavior of parts made of newly developed Nylon6-Fe composite material by FDM. This work also involves the comparison of the friction and wear characteristics of the Nylon6-Fe composite with the existing acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS) filament of the FDM machine. This Is carried out on the pin on disk setup by varying the load(5, 10, 15 and 20 N) and speed(200 and 300 r/min). It is concluded that the newly developed composite is highly wear resistant and can be used in industrial applications where wear resistance is of paramount importance. Morphology of the surface in contact with the Nylon6-Fe composite and ABS is also carried out. 展开更多

In this research, effect of varying spatial orientations on the build time requirements for fused deposition modelling process is studied. Constructive solid geometry cylindrical primitive is taken as work piece and modeling is accomplished for it. Response surface methodology is used to design the experiments and obtain statistical models for build time requirements corresponding to different orientations of the given primitive in modeller build volume. Contour width, air gap, slice height, raster width, raster angle and angle of orientation are treated as process parameters. Percentage contribution of individual process parameter is found to change for build time corresponding to different spatial orientations. Also, the average of build time requirement changes with spatial orientation. This paper attempts to clearly discuss and describe the observations with an aim to develop a clear understanding of effect of spatial variations on the build time for Fused Deposition Modelling process. This work is an integral part of process layout optimization and these results can effectively aid designers specially while tackling nesting issues. 展开更多

High dimensional data clustering,with the inherent sparsity of data and the existence of noise,is a serious challenge for clustering algorithms.A new linear manifold clustering method was proposed to address this problem.The basic idea was to search the line manifold clusters hidden in datasets,and then fuse some of the line manifold clusters to construct higher dimensional manifold clusters.The orthogonal distance and the tangent distance were considered together as the linear manifold distance metrics. Spatial neighbor information was fully utilized to construct the original line manifold and optimize line manifolds during the line manifold cluster searching procedure.The results obtained from experiments over real and synthetic data sets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method over some competing clustering methods in terms of accuracy and computation time.The proposed method is able to obtain high clustering accuracy for various data sets with different sizes,manifold dimensions and noise ratios,which confirms the anti-noise capability and high clustering accuracy of the proposed method for high dimensional data. 展开更多
