The design of solid armature of railgun should take full account of its operating conditions and material properties because the armature is subjected to dynamic loading conditions and experiences a complicated electrical,thermal and mechanical process in the interior ballistic cycle.In this paper present,we first introduced a multi-physical field model of railgun,followed by several examples to investigate the launching process.Especially,we used the explicit finite element method,in which material nonlinearity and geometric nonlinearity were accounted,to investigate the deform behaviors of solid armature.The results show that the dynamic mechanical process of armature is dependent on the armature geometry,material and exciting electric current.By the numerical simulation,the understanding of the fracture mechanism of solid armature was deepened. 展开更多

The use of a shaped liner driven by electromagnetic force is a new means of forming jets. To study the mechanism of jet formation driven by electromagnetic force, we considered the current skin effect and the characteristics of electromagnetic loading and established a coupling model of "ElectriceMagnetic eForce" and the theoretical model of jet formation under electromagnetic force. The jet formation and penetration of conical and trumpet liners have been calculated. Then, a numerical simulation of liner collapse under electromagnetic force, jet generation, and the stretching motion were performed using an ANSYS multiphysics processor. The calculated jet velocity, jet shape, and depth of penetration were consistent with the experimental results, with a relative error of less than 10%. In addition, we calculated the jet formation of different curvature trumpet liners driven by the same loading condition and obtained the influence rule of the curvature of the liner on jet formation. Results show that the theoretical model and the ANSYS multiphysics numerical method can effectively calculate the jet formation of liners driven by electromagnetic force, and in a certain range, the greater the curvature of the liner is, the greater the jet velocity is. 展开更多

Fuze is the information processing and control unit of the ammunition, so the quality of the fuze becomes one of the most important aspects of ammunition detection. Since using recoil force is a common method to the arm fuze, its dynamic simulation test has always been the focus of the fuze test research. A new fuze recoil environmental simulation method is proposed based on the electromagnetic launcher. Then the trigger control characteristics of the fuze recoil simulation system and the influence of the trigger position on the recoil force are studied. The results of the study show that although the pulse width of the armature force curve can be changed by adjusting the trigger position, due to the limit of the range, there also exists the contradiction that the electromagnetic pulse width gets narrow with the increase of electromagnetic force peak. Thus, it cannot meet the requirements of the fuze launch recoil simulation. In order to make the recoil force close to the actual environment, the multi-stage trigger control characteristics are analyzed, and the influence of trigger position on recoil environmental force characteristics is studied. Then a fuze launch recoil environmental simulation platform is established and continuous electromagnetic force is achieved by using the trigger strategy. Finally, the experiment is performed to simulate the fuze launch recoil environment and show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed theoretical analysis. The major research work of this paper includes studying the composition and basic principle of the simulation system, establishing a launch model to analyze the single-stage and multi-stage coil fuze launch recoil characteristics, designing the test device to verify the correctness and validity of the research. This paper draws the conclusions that the feasibility of the fuze launch environmental simulation based on the electromagnetic launcher is verified, the trigger position has a great influence on force peak continuity, the problems of low maximum overload peak and short peak duration in the multi-stage coil fuze launch environmental simulation can be effectively solved through adjusting the trigger position, the system has creative and extensive application prospects. 展开更多

The electromagnetic field mode type of Cassini wave-guide belongs to TE, and the electromagnetic field intensity is stronger near the neck region than at other areas. For Cassini electromagnetic patches and lumped elements, the radar cross section (RCS) is smaller around 7 GHz with -30.85 dBsm, and the absorbing property is better around 13 GHz with 4.56 dBsm difference of RCS from comparing of pure medium. For novel radiation structure of Cassini cross-section patches, the electromagnetic field value is larger in the neck areas of two half patches. At last, the potential application and development of Cassini oval structure are put forward in the electromagnetic stealth technology and antennae design. 展开更多

An efficient and real-time simulation method is proposed for the dynamic electromagnetic characteristics of cluster targets to meet the requirements of engineering practical applications.First,the coordinate transformation method is used to establish a geometric model of the observation scene,which is described by the azimuth angles and elevation angles of the radar in the target reference frame and the attitude angles of the target in the radar reference frame.Then,an approach for dynamic electromagnetic scattering simulation is proposed.Finally,a fast-computing method based on sparsity in the time domain,space domain,and frequency domain is proposed.The method analyzes the sparsity-based dynamic scattering characteristic of the typical cluster targets.The error between the sparsity-based method and the benchmark is small,proving the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

In large loop transient electromagnetic method(TEM),the late time apparent resistivity formula cannot truly reflect the geoelectric model,thus it needs to define the all-time apparent resistivity with the position information of measuring point.Utilizing very fast simulated annealing(VFSA) to fit the theoretical electromagnetic force(EMF) and measured EMF could obtain the all-time apparent resistivity of the measuring points in rectangular transmitting loop.The selective cope of initial model of VFSA could be confirmed by taking the late time apparent resistivity of transient electromagnetic method as the prior information.For verifying the correctness,the all-time apparent resistivities of the geoelectric models were calculated by VFSA and dichotomy,respectively.The results indicate that the relative differences of apparent resistivities calculated by these two methods are within 3%.The change of measuring point position has little influence on the tracing pattern of all-time apparent resistivity.The first branch of the curve of all-time apparent resistivity is close to the resistivity of the first layer medium and the last branch is close to the resistivity of the last layer medium,which proves the correctness of the arithmetics proposed. 展开更多

For conveniently calculating the radiated electric field of transverse electromagnetic(TEM) horn antenna,an approximate simplified analytical calculation method is suggested.This method divides the horn to a system of V-antennas and superimposes the fields of all V-antennas to obtain the field of the TEM horn.The method is compared with the traditional analytical method and numerical method.The obtained results suggest that the proposed method is valid,simple and that it can fastly calculate the radiated electric field of the TEM horn antenna in an arbitrary space with an arbitrary excitation voltage.Based on this method,radiation of the TEM horn antenna of a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse(HEMP) simulator is simulated.Rise time,pulse width,peak value of electric field,and field distribution are analyzed.Results show that the TEM horn antenna can be used in HEMP simulators: the near field waveform is closer to the standard waveform than to the far field waveform; the standards for the rise time and the peak value of electric field are easily satisfied; the pulse width of the radiated field can be increased by broadening the pulse width of an excitation source and by making the antenna of a proper 展开更多

Particle-in-cell (PIC) method has got much benefits from GPU-accelerated heterogeneous systems.However,the performance of PIC is constrained by the interpolation operations in the weighting process on GPU (graphic processing unit).Aiming at this problem,a fast weighting method for PIC simulation on GPU-accelerated systems was proposed to avoid the atomic memory operations during the weighting process.The method was implemented by taking advantage of GPU's thread synchronization mechanism and dividing the problem space properly.Moreover,software managed shared memory on the GPU was employed to buffer the intermediate data.The experimental results show that the method achieves speedups up to 3.5 times compared to previous works,and runs 20.08 times faster on one NVIDIA Tesla M2090 GPU compared to a single core of Intel Xeon X5670 CPU. 展开更多

Based on the commercial computational fluid dynamics software CFX-4.3, electrolyte flow fields in a 156 kA pre-baked anode aluminum electrolysis cell were investigated in three different cases where the electrolyte melt was driven by different kinds of force, i.e. electromagnetic force only, the anode gas drag force only and both of the former two forces. The results show that when electromagnetic force was introduced only, most of the electrolyte moves horizontally; when anode gas drag force was introduced only, the electrolyte flows mainly around each anode with small circulation; when electromagnetic force and anode gas drag force were both introduced together, the structure of the electrolyte flow fields and the velocity of electrolyte are similar to that of the case where only anode gas drag force is used. The electrolyte flow fields are mainly determined by the anode gas drag force. 展开更多

The standard k-ε model was adopted to simulate the flow field of molten metal in three aluminum electrolysis cells with different anode risers. The Hartman number, Reynolds number and the turbulent Reynolds number of molten metal were calculated quantitatively. The turbulent Reynolds number is in the order of 103 , and Reynolds number is in the order of 104 if taking the depth of molten metal as the characteristic length. The results show that the molten metal flow is the turbulence of high Reynolds number, the turbulent Reynolds number is more appropriate than Reynolds number to be used to describe the turbulent characteristic of molten metal, and Hartman number displays very well that electromagnetic force inhibits turbulent motion of molten metal. 展开更多

A multi-field coupled model of railgun launcher was presented in this paper. The 3D transient multi-field was composed of electromagnetic field, thermal field and structural field. The magnetic diffusion equations were solved by a finite-element boundary-element coupling method. The thermal diffusion equations and structural equations were solved by a finite element method. A coupled calculation was achieved by the transfer data from the electromagnetic field to the thermal and structural fields. Some characteristics of railgun shot, such as velocity skin effect, melt-wave erosion and magnetic sawing, which are generated under the condition of large-current and high-speed sliding electrical contact, were demonstrated by numerical simulation. 展开更多

为评估中低速磁浮列车在大跨度T构梁上的走行性能,建立了磁浮列车-轨道-T构梁耦合动力学模型。该模型由考虑了PID控制系统的磁浮车辆动力学模型、T构梁和轨道有限元模型组成。基于该模型仿真计算了20~160 km/h速度下磁浮车-轨-桥耦合系... 为评估中低速磁浮列车在大跨度T构梁上的走行性能,建立了磁浮列车-轨道-T构梁耦合动力学模型。该模型由考虑了PID控制系统的磁浮车辆动力学模型、T构梁和轨道有限元模型组成。基于该模型仿真计算了20~160 km/h速度下磁浮车-轨-桥耦合系统的动力学响应,研究了行车速度对车-桥系统动力学响应的影响规律。结果表明:车-桥系统动力学响应均随速度的增大而增大,在160 km/h处取得最大值。梁体和轨排竖向位移随速度变化较小,跨中处梁体最大竖向位移为2.39 mm,梁体竖向加速度最大值为0.14 m/s^(2)。车体前端竖向加速度取得最大值0.49 m/s^(2),悬浮间隙波动量最大值可达2.28 mm。随着速度的增大,车辆乘坐舒适性逐渐降低,但在20~160 km/h范围内磁浮列车运行平稳性等级仍为优。 展开更多

文中通过有限元仿真,研究了集磁器的工作原理,分析了磁脉冲焊接线圈放电电流大小和波形、焊接过程中磁场和电磁力分布;对比了集磁器结构强度以及铝管电磁缩径的大小.结果表明,集磁器利用结构内外侧的高度差,使得感应电流从面积较大的外... 文中通过有限元仿真,研究了集磁器的工作原理,分析了磁脉冲焊接线圈放电电流大小和波形、焊接过程中磁场和电磁力分布;对比了集磁器结构强度以及铝管电磁缩径的大小.结果表明,集磁器利用结构内外侧的高度差,使得感应电流从面积较大的外表面流向面积较小的内表面,从而实现感应电流的汇聚.集磁器对磁场分布的改善与其斜壁的倾斜角α成正相关,垂直型集磁器性能整体高于常规集磁器,低于曲线型集磁器;集磁器截面的形状对其性能也有一定的影响,α角为0的曲线型集磁器性能最好,相较于目前应用较多的常规集磁器,在焊接区域磁感应强度大小提高了12%,铝管的缩颈变形量高了24.9%.3种集磁器在结构强度上差异较小,均可以保证焊接的稳定性.文中对集磁器结构的设计可以提供一定的参考. 展开更多
