The launch dynamics theory for multibody systems emerges as an innovative and efficacious approach for the study of launch dynamics,capable of addressing the challenges of complex modeling,diminished computational efficiency,and imprecise analyses of system dynamic responses found in the dynamics research of intricate multi-rigid-flexible body systems,such as self-propelled artillery.This advancement aims to enhance the firing accuracy and launch safety of self-propelled artillery.Recognizing the shortfall of overlooking the band engraving process in existing theories,this study introduces a novel coupling calculation methodology for the launch dynamics of a self-propelled artillery multibody system.This method leverages the ABAQUS subroutine interface VUAMP to compute the dynamic response of the projectile and barrel during the launch process of large-caliber self-propelled artillery.Additionally,it examines the changes in projectile resistance and band deformation in relation to projectile motion throughout the band engraving process.Comparative analysis of the computational outcomes with experimental data evidences that the proposed method offers a more precise depiction of the launch process of self-propelled artillery,thereby enhancing the accuracy of launch dynamics calculations for self-propelled artillery. 展开更多

One of the assumptions of previous research in evolutionary game dynamics is that individuals use only one rule to update their strategy. In reality, an individual's strategy update rules may change with the environment, and it is possible for an individual to use two or more rules to update their strategy. We consider the case where an individual updates strategies based on the Moran and imitation processes, and establish mixed stochastic evolutionary game dynamics by combining both processes. Our aim is to study how individuals change strategies based on two update rules and how this affects evolutionary game dynamics. We obtain an analytic expression and properties of the fixation probability and fixation times(the unconditional fixation time or conditional average fixation time) associated with our proposed process. We find unexpected results. The fixation probability within the proposed model is independent of the probabilities that the individual adopts the imitation rule update strategy. This implies that the fixation probability within the proposed model is equal to that from the Moran and imitation processes. The one-third rule holds in the proposed mixed model. However, under weak selection, the fixation times are different from those of the Moran and imitation processes because it is connected with the probability that individuals adopt an imitation update rule. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the relationships between fixation times and the probability that an individual adopts the imitation update rule, as well as between fixation times and selection intensity. From the simulated analysis, we find that the fixation time for a mixed process is greater than that of the Moran process, but is less than that of the imitation process. Moreover, the fixation times for a cooperator in the proposed process increase as the probability of adopting an imitation update increases; however, the relationship becomes more complex than a linear relationship. 展开更多

In this paper,the process modeling and dynamic simulation for the EAST helium refrigerator has been completed.The cryogenic process model is described and the main components are customized in detail.The process model is controlled by the PLC simulator,and the realtime communication between the process model and the controllers is achieved by a customized interface.Validation of the process model has been confirmed based on EAST experimental data during the cool down process of 300-80 K.Simulation results indicate that this process simulator is able to reproduce dynamic behaviors of the EAST helium refrigerator very well for the operation of long pulsed plasma discharge.The cryogenic process simulator based on control architecture is available for operation optimization and control design of EAST cryogenic systems to cope with the long pulsed heat loads in the future. 展开更多

This paper summarizes the results of a study of adsorption of sulfur compounds from a high-sulfur feed on improved spherical-shaped nano-AgX zeolite. For this purpose, the nano-AgX zeolite was initially synthesized and improved with silver compounds such as silver nitrate, and then it was utilized in the adsorption process. In order to investigate the equilibrium and dynamics of the adsorption process, adsorptive desulfurization of real feed(i.e., sour gas condensate from the South Pars gas field) was carried out in batch and continuous processes under several operating conditions; a temperature-dependent Langmuir isotherm model was used to fit the equilibrium data. The value of monolayer adsorption capacity(q_m) and adsorption enthalpy(ΔH) were calculated to be 1.044 mmol/g and 16.8 kJ/mol, respectively. Furthermore, a detailed theoretical model was employed in order to model the breakthrough experiments. The results revealed that an increase in the feed flow rate and 1/T values will cause linear and exponential increase in the total mass transfer coefficient(ks). Isotherm and dynamic breakthrough models were found to be in agreement with the experimental data. 展开更多

Thesubsea dynamic riser base (SDRB) is an important piece of equipment for the floating production platform mooring system.One end is connected to the rigid pipeline, carrying a rigid pipeline thermal expansion load and the other end is connected to a flexible riser, carrying the dynamic load of the flexible riser, so its function is a transition connection between the flexible riser and the rigid pipeline which fixes the flexible riser on the seabed. On the other hand. as a typical subsea product, the design will satisfythe requirements of the standards for subsea products. By studying the stress analysisphilosophy of the topside piping and subsea pipeline, a physical model and procedure for piping stress analysis of the SDRB have been established.The conditions of the adverse design load have been considered, and a combination of the static load from the rigid pipeline and the dynamic load flexibility has also been optimized. And a comparative analysis between the AMSE, DNV and API standards for piping stress with the checking rules has been done.Because theSDRB belongs to the subsea pipeline terminal product, the use of DNV standards to check its process piping stress is recommended. Finally, the process piping stress of the SDRB has been calculated, and the results show that the jacket pipe and the carrier pipe stress of the SDRB process piping satisfy the DNV standards as a whole.The bulkhead cannot be accurately simulated by the AutoPIPE software which uses the FEA software ANSYS inthe detailed analysis, but the checking results will still meet the requirements of the DNV standards. 展开更多

Based on the comparison of several methods of time series predicting, this paper points out that it is necessary to use dynamic neural network in modeling of complex production process. Because self feedback and mutual feedback are adopted among nodes at the same layer in Elman network, it has stronger ability of dynamic approximation, and can describe any non linear dynamic system. After the structure and mathematical description being given, dynamic back propagation (BP) algorithm of training weights of Elman neural network is deduced. At last, the network is used to predict ash content of black amber in jigging production process. The results show that this neural network is powerful in predicting and suitable for modeling, predicting, and controling of complex production process. 展开更多

The reliability of the electronic components inside a guided projectile is highly affected by the launch dynamics of guided projectile.The engraving process plays a crucial role on determining the ballistic performance and projectile stability.This paper analyzes the dynamic response of a guided projectile during the engraving process.By considering the projectile center of gravity moving during the engraving process,a dynamics model is established with the coupling of interior ballistic equations.The results detail the stress situation of a guided projectile band during its engraving process.Meanwhile,the axial dynamic response of projectile in the several milliseconds following the engraving process is also researched.To further explore how the different performance of the engraving band can affect the dynamics of guided projectile,this paper focuses on these two aspects:(a) the effects caused by the different band geometry;and(b) the effects caused by different band materials.The time domain and frequency domain responses show that the dynamics of the projectile are quite sensitive to the engraving band width.A material with a small modulus of elasticity is more stable than one with a high modulus of elasticity. 展开更多

To ensure the efficiency and quality of complex business process design,a mode-based dynamic business process reengineering approach is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the composition of business process is divided into five levels.Business process modes from three levels of mission,content and resource are defined,and the transition relationships between modes are given.Secondly,the architecture model of business process is defined based on the architecture analysis and design language(AADL).The dynamic reengineering framework and implementation procedure are designed.Finally,the AADL architecture models are analyzed and verified to evaluate the business process performance,and a blueprint for reengineering is formulated.Under the guidance of the blueprint,the detailed design and development of attributes such as business processes,activities,resources and cost are completed.Case studies are presented to validate that the mode analysis and dynamic reengineering approach based on the AADL architecture is able to improve the efficiency,reliability and reusability of business process design. 展开更多

Transient dynamic analysis and comparison on wedging processes of overrunning clutches with different contact surfaces

The effects of contact surface on dynamic wedging behavior of the roller and inner-ring of the overrunning clutch in a dual-turbine torque converter were investigated to reveal the friction self- locking mechanism and dynamic process. Planar strain clutch models including roller, inner-ring and outer-ring were built, and transient wedging process was analyzed with an explicit dynamics meth- od. The modeling of stress and strain distribution and variation of two kinds of contact surfaces show that there are three stages named slipping, wedging and binding respectively during whole wed- ging process. Meanwhile the geometric structures of contact surfaces greatly influence the peak stress and strain distribution of the wedging process of the roller and inner-ring. The load bearing performance of contact surfaces with logarithmic spiral curve is better than that with straight line. Our study provides theoretical foundation for design and further optimization of wedging contact surface of an overrunning clutch in a dual-turbine hydrodynamic torque converter. 展开更多

The catalytic properties of non-reducible metal oxides have intrigued continuous interest in the past decades.Often time,catalytic studies of bulk non-reducible oxides focused on their high-temperature applications owing to their weak interaction with small molecules.Hereby,combining ambient-pressure scanning tunneling microscopy(AP-STM),AP X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(AP-XPS)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,we studied the activation of CO and CO_(2)on ZnO,a typical nonreducible oxide and major catalytic material in the conversion of C1 molecules.By visualizing the chemical processes on ZnO surfaces at the atomic scale under AP conditions,we showed that new adsorbate structures induced by the enhanced physisorption and the concerted interaction of physisorbed molecules could facilitate the activation of CO and CO_(2)on ZnO.The reactivity of ZnO towards CO could be observed under AP conditions,where an ordered(2×1)–CO structure was observed on ZnO(1010).Meanwhile,chemisorption of CO_(2)on ZnO(1010)under AP conditions was also enhanced by physisorbed CO_(2),which minimizes the repulsion between surface dipoles and causes a(3×1)–CO_(2)structure.Our study has brought molecular insight into the fundamental chemistry and catalytic properties of ZnO surfaces under realistic reaction conditions. 展开更多

Micro-mobile heat pipe-cooled nuclear power plants are promising candidates for distributed energy resource power genera-tors and can be flexibly deployed in remote places to meet increasing electric power demands.However,previous steady-state simulations and experiments have deviated significantly from actual micronuclear system operations.Hence,a transient analysis is required for performance optimization and safety assessment.In this study,a hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)approach was used to investigate the dynamic behavior of scaled-down heat pipe-cooled systems.The real-time features of the HIL architecture were interpreted and validated,and an optimal time step of 500 ms was selected for the thermal transient.The power transient was modeled using point kinetic equations,and a scaled-down thermal prototype was set up to avoid mod-eling unpredictable heat transfer behaviors and feeding temperature samples into the main program running on a desktop PC.A series of dynamic test results showed significant power and temperature oscillations during the transient process,owing to the inconsistency of the rapid nuclear reaction rate and large thermal inertia.The proposed HIL approach is stable and effective for further studying of the dynamic characteristics and control optimization of solid-state small nuclear-powered systems at an early prototyping stage. 展开更多

Coherence is a key resource in quantum information science.Exactly understanding and controlling the variation of coherence are vital for implementation in realistic quantum systems.Using P-representation of density matrix,we obtain the analytical solution of the master equation for the classical states in the non-Markovian process and investigate the coherent dynamics of Gaussian states.It is found that quantum coherence can be preserved in such a process if the coupling strength between system and environment exceeds a threshold value.We also discuss the characteristic function of the Gaussian states in the non-Markovian process,which provides an inevitable bridge for the control and operation of quantum coherence. 展开更多

The ideal motion characteristics for the vibrating screen was presented according to the principle of screening process with constant bed thickness.A new vibrating screen with variable elliptical trace was proposed.An accurate mechanical model was constructed according to the required structural motion features.Applying multi-degree-of-freedom vibration theory,characteristics of the vibrating screen was analyzed.Kinematics parameters of the vibrating screen which motion traces were linear,circular or elliptical were obtained.The stable solutions of the dynamic equations gave the motions of the vibrating screen by means of computer simulations.Technological parameters,including amplitude,movement velocity and throwing index,of five specific points along the screen surface were gained by theoretical calculation.The results show that the traces of the new designed vibrating screen follow the ideal screening motion.The screening efficiency and processing capacity may thus be effectively improved. 展开更多

The simulations are performed on a graphical processing unit. Stability of the flow past a cylinder at supercritical state, Re = 50, is studied by the combination for both the exponential growing and the limit cycle regimes. The Ritz values, energy spectrum, and modes for both regimes are presented and compared with the Koopman eigenvalues. For harmonic-like periodic flow in the limit cycle, global analysis from the combination gives the same results as those from the Koopman analysis. For transient flow as in the exponential growth regime, the combination can provide more reasonable results. It is demonstrated that the combination of the lattice Boltzmann method and the dynamic mode decomposition is powerful and can be used for stability analysis for more complex flows. 展开更多

With a transmission system suitable for a medium or large self-propelled cotton picker as the object of the study,the following work focuses on the influence law of an independently designed hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission(HMCVT)in the process of changing sections.An HMCVT simulation model was established using the multibody dynamics Simulation X software.The accuracy of the simulation model was verified by comparing the numerical values of the output speed of the HMCVT with model predictions.The HMCVT test bench was built independently using a John Deere 4045HYC11 diesel engine as power input.The engine speed,load torque,oil pressure,and flow of speed regulating valve were considered the influencing factors.The sliding friction power was the response index for the segment change process test.We analysed the reasons for the decrease in output speed during the shifting process,and proposed to effectively reduce the stable speed difference before and after the output shaft shifting by shifting the stage ahead(with displacement ratio of-0.96).This study provides a reference value for the smoothness of the HMCVT of the self-propelled cotton picker,and is relevant in promoting the use of the cotton picker. 展开更多

To objectively obtain the three-dimensional coordinates of the projectile fuze proximity explosion when projectile intersects the head of missile target, we propose a dynamic seven photoelectric detection screen test method, which is made up of six plane detection screens and a flash photoelectric dynamic detection screen. The three-dimensional coordinates calculation model of the projectile proximity explosion position based on seven plane detection screens with dynamic characteristics is established.According to the relation of the dynamic seven photoelectric detection screen planes and the time values,the analytical function of the projectile proximity explosion position parameters under non-linear motion is derived. The projectile signal filtering method based on discrete wavelet transform is explored in this work. Additionally, the projectile signal recognition algorithm using an improved particle swarm is proposed. Based on the characteristics of the time duration and the signal peak error for the projectile passing through the detection screen, the signals attribution of the same projectile passing through six detection screens are analyzed for obtaining precise time values of the same projectile passing through the detection screens. On the basis of the projectile fuze proximity explosion test, the linear motion model and the proposed non-linear motion model are used to calculate and compare the same group of projectiles proximity explosion position parameters. The comparison of test results verifies that the proposed test method and calculation model in this work accurately obtain the actual projectile proximity explosion position parameters. 展开更多

The techniques for oceanographic observation have made great progress in both space-time coverage and quality, which make the observation data present some characteristics of big data. We explore the essence of global ocean dynamic via constructing a complex network with regard to sea surface temperature. The global ocean is divided into discrete regions to represent the nodes of the network. To understand the ocean dynamic behavior, we introduce the Gaussian mixture models to describe the nodes as limit-cycle oscillators. The interacting dynamical oscillators form the complex network that simulates the ocean as a stochastic system. Gaussian probability matching is suggested to measure the behavior similarity of regions. Complex network statistical characteristics of the network are analyzed in terms of degree distribution, clustering coefficient and betweenness. Experimental results show a pronounced sensitivity of network characteristics to the climatic anomaly in the oceanic circulation. Particularly, the betweenness reveals the main pathways to transfer thermal energy of El Niño–Southern oscillation. Our works provide new insights into the physical processes of ocean dynamic, as well as climate changes and ocean anomalies. 展开更多

The first effect is that the maximum or peak of the dynamical range appears when the largest eigenvalue of adjacent matrix is larger than one. We present a modification of the theory of the critical point by considering the correlation between excited nodes and their neighbors, which is brought by the refractory period. Our analysis provides the interpretation for the shift of the peak of the dynamical range. The effect is negligible when the average degree of the network is large. The second effect is that the dynamical range increases as the length of refractory period increases, and it is independent of the average degree. We present the mechanism of the second effect. As the refractory period increases,the saturated response decreases. This makes the bottom boundary of the dynamical range smaller and the dynamical range extend. 展开更多

Using stochastic dynamic simulation for railway vehicle collision still faces many challenges,such as high modelling complexity and time-consuming.To address the challenges,we introduce a novel data-driven stochastic process modelling(DSPM)approach into dynamic simulation of the railway vehicle collision.This DSPM approach consists of two steps:(i)process description,four kinds of kernels are used to describe the uncertainty inherent in collision processes;(ii)solving,stochastic variational inferences and mini-batch algorithms can then be used to accelerate computations of stochastic processes.By applying DSPM,Gaussian process regression(GPR)and finite element(FE)methods to two collision scenarios(i.e.lead car colliding with a rigid wall,and the lead car colliding with another lead car),we are able to achieve a comprehensive analysis.The comparison between the DSPM approach and the FE method revealed that the DSPM approach is capable of calculating the corresponding confidence interval,simultaneously improving the overall computational efficiency.Comparing the DSPM approach with the GPR method indicates that the DSPM approach has the ability to accurately describe the dynamic response under unknown conditions.Overall,this research demonstrates the feasibility and usability of the proposed DSPM approach for stochastic dynamics simulation of the railway vehicle collision. 展开更多
