The cloud computing technology is utilized for achieving resource utilization of remotebased virtual computer to facilitate the consumers with rapid and accurate massive data services.It utilizes on-demand resource pr...The cloud computing technology is utilized for achieving resource utilization of remotebased virtual computer to facilitate the consumers with rapid and accurate massive data services.It utilizes on-demand resource provisioning,but the necessitated constraints of rapid turnaround time,minimal execution cost,high rate of resource utilization and limited makespan transforms the Load Balancing(LB)process-based Task Scheduling(TS)problem into an NP-hard optimization issue.In this paper,Hybrid Prairie Dog and Beluga Whale Optimization Algorithm(HPDBWOA)is propounded for precise mapping of tasks to virtual machines with the due objective of addressing the dynamic nature of cloud environment.This capability of HPDBWOA helps in decreasing the SLA violations and Makespan with optimal resource management.It is modelled as a scheduling strategy which utilizes the merits of PDOA and BWOA for attaining reactive decisions making with respect to the process of assigning the tasks to virtual resources by considering their priorities into account.It addresses the problem of pre-convergence with wellbalanced exploration and exploitation to attain necessitated Quality of Service(QoS)for minimizing the waiting time incurred during TS process.It further balanced exploration and exploitation rates for reducing the makespan during the task allocation with complete awareness of VM state.The results of the proposed HPDBWOA confirmed minimized energy utilization of 32.18% and reduced cost of 28.94% better than approaches used for investigation.The statistical investigation of the proposed HPDBWOA conducted using ANOVA confirmed its efficacy over the benchmarked systems in terms of throughput,system,and response time.展开更多
Olfactory receptors（ORs）,the first dedicated molecules with which odorants physically interact to arouse an olfactory sensation,constitute the largest gene family in vertebrates.Dogs and wolves,like many other mamma...Olfactory receptors（ORs）,the first dedicated molecules with which odorants physically interact to arouse an olfactory sensation,constitute the largest gene family in vertebrates.Dogs and wolves,like many other mammals,have a highly developed capability to detect and identify odorant molecules,even at minimum concentrations.In this study,the olfactory receptor repertoire from domestic dog and its closest relative,the wolf,were sequenced to estimate the fraction of pseudogenes in each subspecies.The fraction of disrupted olfactory receptor genes in dog was 17.78%,whereas,that in wolf was 12.08%.As expected the dog was less dependent on olfaction than the wolf,and the dog had more olfactory receptor pseudogenes.However,the observed difference between the two subspecies was not at the significant level（χ2 = 1.388,p = 0.239 0.05）.The values indicated that although domestication might play a role in the reduction of OR genes,it could not be concluded that the living environment provided by domestication lead to a significant reduction of the functional olfactory receptor repertoire.Furthermore,the purpose of domestication may also have influence on the ratio of functional olfactory receptor genes reduction.展开更多

Methods For the A...Objective To report Medtronic experiences with the development of animal models for atrial fibrillation （AF） and chronic heart failure （CHF） using high-rate pacing for AF and microemboli for CHF. Methods For the AF model, an atrial lead was attached to a Medtronic SynergyTM neurostimulator, which was programmed to stimulate at 50 Hz in an on-off duty cycle. Atrial natfiuretic peptide （ANP）, brain natriuretic peptide （BNP） and N-terminal pro brain nalriuretic peptide （NT-proBNP） were assayed at select time points. For CHF model, a serial injection of 90 μm polystyrene microspheres at 62,400 beads/mL （Polybead, Polysciences, Inc.） was performed to induce global ischemia, either with weekly monitoring and embolization schedule （group 1, n = 25） or with biweekly monitoring and emboliation schedule （group 2, n = 36 ）. Echocardiograms were used along with ventriculograms and magnetic resonance imaging scans weekly to assess cardiac function and ANP, BNP and NT-proBNP were monitored. Results For the AF model, the days to sustained AF for four animals following surgery were 7, 25, 21 and 19, respectively; For the CHF model, the days to meet CHF endpoints were 116 in group 1 and 89 in group 2. For both AF and CHF models, NT-proBNP correlated well with the development of disease states. Conclusion Our experience for the development and assessment of AF and CHF dog models may help researchers who are in search for animal model for assessing the safety and efficacy of a device-based therapy.展开更多

The effects of 7.5％ NaCl-6％ dextran 70 in small dosage on the cardiovascular func-tion and the survival rate in hemorrhagic shock at a simnlated altitude of 4000 m were observedin dogs.The animals were bled from the...The effects of 7.5％ NaCl-6％ dextran 70 in small dosage on the cardiovascular func-tion and the survival rate in hemorrhagic shock at a simnlated altitude of 4000 m were observedin dogs.The animals were bled from the femoral artery for 8 rain to reduce the mean arterialpressure to 5.73±0.1kPa,which was maintained for an hour.Then the dogs were intravenouslyinjected with 4ml/kg 0.9％ NaCL(NS group,n=7),7.5％ NaCl(HS group,n=6)and 7.5％Naa-6％ dextran 70(HSD group,n=6)respectively.In the 2-hour-period after injection,5out of 7 dogs of NS group died but only 1 out of the 6 of both the HS and HSD groupsdied.Significant increase of mean arterial pressure,left ventricular pressure,±dp/dt max of leftventricle,cardiac output,cardiac index and cardiac minute work index was observed in both theHS and HSD groups.Improvement of the cardiovascular function was even more marked inHSD group than in HS group,thougth the difference between the 2 groups was statisticallyinsignificant.There was a tendency for the pulmonary vascular resistance to decrease in HS andHSD groups as compared with the NS group.The percentage of plasma expansion of HSDgroup was larger than that of HS group(P【0.05)and of NS group(P【0.01),but nosignificant difference existed between the HS and NS groups.It is believed that intravenous injection of hypertonic saline alone or in combination with dextran is effective for the treatment ofhemorrhagic shock at high altitude and the combination of 7.5％ NaCl and 6％ dextran 70seems even more effective.展开更多

The date of winter fur maturity were advanced to middle or end of October, about four or five weeks earlier than controls, When male or female pup raccoon dogs were treated with silastic implants containing 8.6mg,12mg or 15mg melatonin on July6 and July 11 respectively. The date of winter fur maturity were advanced tolate September and early October, about six to eight weeks earlier than controls. Acute fulminant pancreatitis was produced in dogs by injection of autobile into the main pancreatic duct.After injection the phospholipase A_2(PLA_2)activities in serum,lung lymph and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BAL)...Acute fulminant pancreatitis was produced in dogs by injection of autobile into the main pancreatic duct.After injection the phospholipase A_2(PLA_2)activities in serum,lung lymph and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BAL)were elevated significantly,lung lymph flow and pulmonary transvascular potein clearance increased progressively,protein content and cell numbers in BAL in the experimental animals were significantly higher than those in the control animals.Furthermore the lung index,wet to dry lung weight ratio,extravascular lung water to bloodless dry lung weight ra- tio,extravascuar lung water to bloodless dry lung weight ratio increased significantly as compared to control animals.Pretreatment with PLA_2 inhibitor,chloroquine,blocked the changes mentioned above.This experiment suggests:1.PLA_2 activity in lung lymph fluid as well as in serum and BAL is elevated in acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.2.Elevated PLA_2 activity may increase the pulmonary vascular permeability.3.PLA_2 is the major factor leading to pulmonary edema in acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.4.Phagocytes contribute to the lung injury induced by PLA_2 to some ex- tent.展开更多
OBJECTIVE To investigate a new noninvasive method for calculating left ventricular diastolic time constant(Tau) through a continuous-wave aortic regurgitation Doppler spectrum.METHODS According to ultrasound guidance,...OBJECTIVE To investigate a new noninvasive method for calculating left ventricular diastolic time constant(Tau) through a continuous-wave aortic regurgitation Doppler spectrum.METHODS According to ultrasound guidance, twenty-four animal models(beagles) of aortic regurgitation and acute ischemic left ventricular diastolic dysfunction were created. The left ventricular diastolic function was manipulated with dobutamine or esmolol and fifty-nine hemodynamic stages were achieved. Raw audio signals of the continuous-wave Doppler spectra were collected, and new aortic regurgitation Doppler spectra were built after reprocessing by a personal computer. The updating time of the spectral line was 0.3 ms. The new Doppler spectra contour line was automated using MATLAB(MATrix LABoratory, MathWorks, Natick, MA, USA), and two time intervals,(t2–t1) and(t3–t1) were measured on the ascending branch of the aortic regurgitation Doppler spectrum. Then, the two time intervals were substituted into Bai's equations, and Doppler-derived Tau(Tau-D)was resolved and compared with catheter-derived Tau(Tau-c).RESULTS There is no significant difference between Tau-D and Tau-c(45.95 ± 16.90 ms and 46.81 ± 17.31 ms, respectively;P >0.05). Correlation analysis between Tau-c and Tau-D suggested a strong positive relationship(r = 0.97, P = 0.000). A Bland-Altman plot of Tau-c and Tau-D revealed fair agreement.CONCLUSIONS This new calculation method is simple, convenient, and shows a strong positive relationship and fair agreement with the catheter method.展开更多

文摘Acute fulminant pancreatitis was produced in dogs by injection of autobile into the main pancreatic duct.After injection the phospholipase A_2(PLA_2)activities in serum,lung lymph and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BAL)were elevated significantly,lung lymph flow and pulmonary transvascular potein clearance increased progressively,protein content and cell numbers in BAL in the experimental animals were significantly higher than those in the control animals.Furthermore the lung index,wet to dry lung weight ratio,extravascular lung water to bloodless dry lung weight ra- tio,extravascuar lung water to bloodless dry lung weight ratio increased significantly as compared to control animals.Pretreatment with PLA_2 inhibitor,chloroquine,blocked the changes mentioned above.This experiment suggests:1.PLA_2 activity in lung lymph fluid as well as in serum and BAL is elevated in acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.2.Elevated PLA_2 activity may increase the pulmonary vascular permeability.3.PLA_2 is the major factor leading to pulmonary edema in acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.4.Phagocytes contribute to the lung injury induced by PLA_2 to some ex- tent.

文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate a new noninvasive method for calculating left ventricular diastolic time constant(Tau) through a continuous-wave aortic regurgitation Doppler spectrum.METHODS According to ultrasound guidance, twenty-four animal models(beagles) of aortic regurgitation and acute ischemic left ventricular diastolic dysfunction were created. The left ventricular diastolic function was manipulated with dobutamine or esmolol and fifty-nine hemodynamic stages were achieved. Raw audio signals of the continuous-wave Doppler spectra were collected, and new aortic regurgitation Doppler spectra were built after reprocessing by a personal computer. The updating time of the spectral line was 0.3 ms. The new Doppler spectra contour line was automated using MATLAB(MATrix LABoratory, MathWorks, Natick, MA, USA), and two time intervals,(t2–t1) and(t3–t1) were measured on the ascending branch of the aortic regurgitation Doppler spectrum. Then, the two time intervals were substituted into Bai's equations, and Doppler-derived Tau(Tau-D)was resolved and compared with catheter-derived Tau(Tau-c).RESULTS There is no significant difference between Tau-D and Tau-c(45.95 ± 16.90 ms and 46.81 ± 17.31 ms, respectively;P >0.05). Correlation analysis between Tau-c and Tau-D suggested a strong positive relationship(r = 0.97, P = 0.000). A Bland-Altman plot of Tau-c and Tau-D revealed fair agreement.CONCLUSIONS This new calculation method is simple, convenient, and shows a strong positive relationship and fair agreement with the catheter method.
