The stability analysis of these systems is discussed, and the necessary and sufficient condition of stability is derived by method other than constructing Lyapunov function and solving Riccati inequality. The root locations of system characteristic polynomial, which is obtained by augmentation approach and Laplace expansion, determine the stability of uncertain discrete-time systems with state delay, the system is stable if and only if all roots lie within the unit circle. In order to analyze robust stability of system characteristic polynomial effectively, Kharitonov theorem and edge theorem are applied. Example shows the practicability of these methods.展开更多

The continuity property of the optimal value in respect to changes in the H2-norm constraint is studied. The existence of the optimal solutions of mixed l1/H2 problem is proved. Because the solution of the mixed l1/H2 problem is based on the scaled-Q method, it avoids the zero interpolation difficulties. The convergent upper and lower bounds can be obtained by solving a sequence of finite dimensional nonlinear programming for which many efficient numerical optimization algorithms exist.展开更多

The aim to deal with systems with fast-varying neutral-type delay can be achieved by using the new functional. The benefit brought by applying the PTVD compensation technique is that some useful elements can be included in criteria, which are generally ignored when estimating the upper bound of derivative of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. Upon the conditions addressed, an improved parameter-dependent l 2-l ∞ performance criterion is established by the introduction of a slack variable, which exhibits a kind of decoupling between Lyapunov functions and system matrices. This kind of decoupling enables us to obtain more easily tractable conditions for analysis and synthesis problems. Then, the corresponding parameter-dependent state-feedback controller design is investigated upon these performance criteria, with sufficient conditions obtained for the existence of admissible controllers in terms of parameterized linear matrix inequalities. The less conservative delaydependent stability criteria for this system are proposed by applying new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and novel polynomials with time-varying delay (PTVD) compensation technique. The aim to deal with systems with fast-varying neutral-type delay can be achieved by using the new functional. The benefit brought by applying the PTVD compensation technique is that some useful elements can be included in criteria, which are generally ignored when estimating the upper bound of derivative of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. A numerical example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed results.

文摘In the forward channel of a networked control system (NCS), by defining the network states as a hidden Markov chain and quantizing the network-induced delays to a discrete sequence distributing over a finite time interval, the relation between the network states and the network-induced delays is modelled as a discrete-time hidden Markov model (DTHMM). The expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is introduced to derive the maximumlikelihood estimation (MLE) of the parameters of the DTHMM. Based on the derived DTHMM, the Viterbi algorithm is introduced to predict the controller-to-actuator (C-A) delay during the current sampling period. The simulation experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the modelling and predicting methods proposed.

文摘The observer-based robust fault detection filter design and optimization for networked control systems (NOSs) with uncer- tain time-varying delays are addressed. The NCSs with uncertain time-varying delays are modeled as parameter-uncertain systems by the matrix theory. Based on the model, an observer-based residual generator is constructed and the sufficient condition for the existence of the desired fault detection filter is derived in terms of the linear matrix inequality. Furthermore, a time domain opti- mization approach is proposed to improve the performance of the fault detection system. To prevent the false alarms, a new thresh- old function is established, and the solution of the optimization problem is given by using the singular value decomposition (SVD) of the matrix. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

文摘Based on the delay-independent rule, the problem of optimal guaranteed cost control for a class of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy descriptor systems with time-varying delay is studied. A linear quadratic cost function is considered as the performance index of the closed-loop system. Sufficient conditions for the existence of guaranteed cost controllers via state feedback are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and the design of an optimal guaranteed cost controller can be reduced to a convex optimization problem. It is shown that the designed controller not only guarantees the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop fuzzy descriptor delay system, but also provides an optimized upper bound of the guaranteed cost. At last, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and the perfect performance of the optimal guaranteed cost controller.
文摘One of the first attempts to derive energy-to-peak performance criteria and state-feedback controller design problem for linear parameter-varying discrete time systems with time delay is provided. Firstly, we present a parameter-dependent l 2-l ∞ performance criterion using a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function. Upon the conditions addressed, an improved parameter-dependent l 2-l ∞ performance criterion is established by the introduction of a slack variable, which exhibits a kind of decoupling between Lyapunov functions and system matrices. This kind of decoupling enables us to obtain more easily tractable conditions for analysis and synthesis problems. Then, the corresponding parameter-dependent state-feedback controller design is investigated upon these performance criteria, with sufficient conditions obtained for the existence of admissible controllers in terms of parameterized linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the feasibility and advantage of the proposed controller design procedure.

文摘A novel approach for the actuator fault diagnosis of time-delay systems is presented by using an adaptive observer technique. Systems without model uncertainty are initially considered, followed by a discussion of a general situation where the system is subjected to either model uncertainty or external disturbance. An adaptive diagnostic algorithm is developed to diagnose the fault, and a modified version is proposed for general system to improve robustness. The selection of the threshold for fault detection is also discussed. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

文摘The problem on stabilization for the system with distributed delays is researched. The distributed time-delay under consideration is assumed to be a constant time-delay, but not known exactly. A design method is proposed for a memory proportional and integral (PI) feedback controller with adaptation to distributed time-delay. The feedback controller with memory simultaneously contains the current state and the past distributed information of the addressed systems. The design for adaptation law to distributed delay is very concise. The controller can be derived by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the design method.
