This paper considers the stability analysis of uncertain discrete-time piecewise linear systems with time delays based on piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. It is shown that the stability can be established for the control systems if there is a piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, and moreover, the functional can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that are numerically feasible. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the efficiency and advantage of the proposed method. 展开更多

Stochastic resonance (SR) of a periodically driven time-delayed linear system with multiplicative white noise and periodically modulated additive white noise is investigated. In the condition of small delay time, an approximate analytical expression of output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is obtained. The analytical results indicate that (1) there exists a resonance peak in the curve for SNR versus time delay; (2) the time delay will suspend the SR dramatically for SNR versus other parameters of the system, such as noise intensity, correlation intensity, and signal frequency, once a certain value is reached, the SR phenomenon disappears. 展开更多

The Takagi Sugeno (T S) mo del with time delay and parameter uncertainties is adopted for modeling of nonlinear system. The systematic design procedure for the fuzzy robust controller based on linear matrix inequality (LMI) is given. Some sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of fuzzy H ∞ state feedback controllers such that the closed loop system is asymptotically stable and the effect of the disturbance input on controlled output is reduced to a prescribed level. This paper introduces the concept of linear-control-based synchronization of coexisting attractor networks with time delays. Within the new framework, closed loop control for each dynamic node is realized through linear state feedback around its own arena in a decentralized way, where the feedback matrix is determined through consideration of the coordination of the node dynamics, the inner connected matrix and the outer connected matrix. Unlike previously existing results, the feedback gain matrix here is decoupled from the inner matrix; this not only guarantees the flexible choice of the gain matrix, hut also leaves much space for inner matrix configuration. Synchronization of coexisting attractor networks with time delays is made possible in virtue of local interaction, which works in a distributed way between individual neighbours, and the linear feedback control for each node. Provided that the network is connected and balanced, synchronization will come true naturally, where theoretical proof is given via a Lyapunov function. For completeness, several illustrative examples are presented to further elucidate the novelty and efficacy of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

The problem of passivity analysis for a class of discrete-time stochastic neural networks (DSNNs) with time-varying interval delay was investigated. The delay-dependent sufficient criteria were derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The results are shown to be generalization of some previous results and are less conservative than the existing works. Meanwhile, the computational complexity of the obtained stability conditions is reduced because less variables are involved. A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed method. 展开更多

The main results given here focus on the stability criteria using a new Lyapunov functional. New relaxed conditions and new linear matrix inequality-based designs are proposed that outperform the previous results found in the literature. A multi-gap and multi-channel gas switch with convexo-convex discal planet electrodes was designed and investigated. Eight gaps are formed in series by a trigger electrode, six intermediate electrodes and two high voltage electrodes with a uniform gap length of 5 ram. The self breakdown and triggered breakdown performance of the switch are reported. Both the delay time and jitter decrease with the increase in the trigger voltage, switching coefficient and the decrease in the trigger isolating resistor. The delay time of the switch is about 40 ns, and the jitter is less than 2 ns when charged with 4-85 kV and triggered by a voltage pule of -75 kV. The inductance of the switch is about 30 nH. 展开更多
