Although opportunistic maintenance strategies are widely used for multi-component systems, all opportunistic mainte- nance strategies only consider economic dependence and do not take structural dependence into accoun...Although opportunistic maintenance strategies are widely used for multi-component systems, all opportunistic mainte- nance strategies only consider economic dependence and do not take structural dependence into account. An opportunistic main- tenance strategy is presented for a multi-component system that considers both structural dependence and economic dependence. The cost relation and time relation among components based on structural dependence are developed. The maintenance strategy for each component of a multi-component system involves one of five maintenance actions, namely, no-maintenance, a minimal maintenance action, an imperfect maintenance action, a perfect maintenance action, and a replacement action. The maintenance action is determined by the virtual age of the component, the life expectancy of the component, and the age threshold values. Monte Carlo simulation is designed to obtain the optimal oppor- tunistic maintenance strategy of the system over its lifetime. The simulation result reveals that the minimum maintenance cost with a strategy that considers structural dependence is less than that with a strategy that does not consider structural dependence. The availability with a strategy that considers structural dependence is greater than that with a strategy that does not consider structural dependence under the same conditions.展开更多

Selective maintenance problem under economic dependence(EDSMP) is presented based on a series–parallel system in this paper. A case study shows that the system reliability is promoted to a certain extent, which can validate the validity of the EDSMP model. The influence of the ratio of set-up cost on system performance is mainly discussed under different economic dependences. Several existing improvements of classical exhaust algorithm are further modified to solve a large sized EDSMP rapidly. Experimental results illustrate that these improvements can reduce CPU time significantly.Furthermore the contribution of each improvement is defined here, and then their contributions are compared thoroughly.展开更多

The temperature dependence on the reaction of desulfurization reagent CaCO3 and SO2 in O2/CO2 coal combustion was investigated by thcrmogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction measurement and pore structure analysis. ...The temperature dependence on the reaction of desulfurization reagent CaCO3 and SO2 in O2/CO2 coal combustion was investigated by thcrmogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction measurement and pore structure analysis. The results show that the conversion of the reaction of CaCO3 and SO2 in air is higher at 500-1 100 ℃ and lower at 1 200 ℃ compared with that in O2/CO2 atmosphere. The conversion can be increased by increasing the concentration of SO2, which causes the inhibition of CaSO4 decomposition and shifting of the reaction equilibrium toward the products. XRD analysis of the product shows that the reaction mechanism of CaCO3 and SO2 differs with temperature in O2/CO2 atmosphere, i.e. CaCO3 directly reacts with SO2 at 500 ℃ and CaO from CaCO3 decomposition reacts with SO2 at 1 000 ℃. The pore analysis of the products indicates that the maximum specific surface area of the products accounts for the highest conversion at 1 100 ℃ in O2/CO2 atmosphere. The results reveal that the effect of the atmosphere on the conversion is temperature dependence.展开更多
During extended warranty(EW)period,maintenance events play a key role in controlling the product systems within normal operations.However,the modelling of failure process and maintenance optimization is complicated ow...During extended warranty(EW)period,maintenance events play a key role in controlling the product systems within normal operations.However,the modelling of failure process and maintenance optimization is complicated owing to the complex features of the product system,namely,components of the multi-component system are interdependent with each other in some form.For the purpose of optimizing the EW pricing decision of the multi-component system scientifically and rationally,taking the series multi-component system with economic dependence sold with EW policy as a research object,this paper optimizes the imperfect preventive maintenance(PM)strategy from the standpoint of EW cost.Taking into consideration adjusting the PM moments of the components in the system,a group maintenance model is developed,in which the system is repaired preventively in accordance with a specified PM base interval.In order to compare with the system EW cost before group maintenance,the system EW cost model before group maintenance is developed.Numerical example demonstrates that offering group maintenance programs can reduce EW cost of the system to a great extent,thereby reducing the EW price,which proves to be a win-win strategy to manufacturers and users.展开更多

The compressive mechanical behavior of composite modified double base(CMDB)propellant was investigated across a wide scope of strain rates ranging from 10^(-3) s^(-1) to 4210 s^(-1) at room temperature,by applying a c...The compressive mechanical behavior of composite modified double base(CMDB)propellant was investigated across a wide scope of strain rates ranging from 10^(-3) s^(-1) to 4210 s^(-1) at room temperature,by applying a conventional universal testing machine and a split Hopkinson tension bar(SHPB),respectively.The derived stress-strain curves at different strain rates show a strong rate dependence,indicated that yield stress,ultimate stress and strain energy density of CMDB propellant all increase with strain rate by following a power law function,while the amplification of increase are different.The deformation and damage modes of CMDB propellant has changed from a typical ductile manner(cracking along the axial direction)to a brittle manner(maximum shear failure)with increasing of strain rate.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was employed to explore the microscopic failure characteristics of CMDB propellant.Under quasi-static loading,the nearly parallel micro-cracks propagating along the axial direction and the debonding of RDX particle without particle crushing can be observed.While under dynamic loading,the micro-crack is 45 angle to the axial direction,and multiple cracking modes of RDX particles appeared.Finally,the correlation between strain energy density and failure mechanisms of CMDB propellant was revealed by developing four characteristic failure modes.The findings of this study is very important to evaluate the structural integrity of CMDB propellant.展开更多

In order to eliminate this component, a two-step filtering methodology is proposed. Firstly, fractional differencing (FD) method is introduced to trans-form fractal noise into fractional white noise based on the estima-tion of Hurst exponent for long-term dependent fractal process, which together with the existing white noise make up of a gener-alized white noise. Further, an improved denoising algorithm of wavelet maxima is developed to suppress the generalized white noise. Experimental results show that the basic noise terms of FOG greatly decrease, and especially the slow drift is restrained effectively. The proposed methodology provides a promising ap-proach for filtering long-term dependent fractal noise.展开更多

The system consists of two kinds of units, which are respectively subjected to the deteriorat...An opportunistic maintenance model is presented for a continuously deteriorating series system with economical de-pendence. The system consists of two kinds of units, which are respectively subjected to the deterioration failure described by Gamma process and the random failure described by Poisson process. A two-level opportunistic policy defined by three decision parameters is proposed to coordinate the different maintenance actions and minimize the long-run maintenance cost rate of the system. A computable expression of the average cost rate is established by using the renewal property of the stochastic process of the maintained system state. The optimal values of three deci- sion parameters are derived by an iteration approach based on the characteristic of Gamma process. The behavior of the proposed policy is illustrated through a numerical experiment. Comparative study with the widely used corrective maintenance policy demonstrates the advantage of the proposed opportunistic maintenance method in significantly reducing the maintenance cost. Simultane- ously, the applicable area of this opportunistic model is discussed by the sensitivity analysis of the set-up cost and random failure rate.展开更多

Wall slip behavior of three commercial polymer melts polypropylene(iPP),low-density polyethylene(LDPE)(branched chains) and high-density polyethylene(HDPE)(linear chains) were studied by using a capillary rheometer wi...Wall slip behavior of three commercial polymer melts polypropylene(iPP),low-density polyethylene(LDPE)(branched chains) and high-density polyethylene(HDPE)(linear chains) were studied by using a capillary rheometer with twin bores at different temperatures.The results show that a sudden first-stick-then-slip transition was observed for HDPE and a first-slip-then-stick transition was observed for LDPE and iPP as the shear rate sweep was done in an increased order,which shows that the chain structure has an obvious effect on the wall slip behavior of polymers.The critical shear stress for the onset of stick-slip transition increases linearly with temperature for HDPE,which accords with the disentanglement mechanism proposed by Brochard and de Gennes.While the extrapolation length used to quantify the magnitude of the transition remains about 0.05-0.09 mm for HDPE at 150-230 ℃.Also the relationship between the critical shear stress for the onset of wall slip and the molecular mass for polymer samples agrees with the disentanglement model of Brochard and de Gennes.The onset of slip-stick transition for LDPE and iPP at a critical shear stress may be interpreted as the shear thinning of the polymer chains at high shear rates,preventing further development of wall slip behavior.展开更多

Meanwhile, opioids induce drug addic- tion, which causes serious medical and social problems. Most opioids research have been concentrated on neurons in the central nerve system (CNS) , however, the action of glia, which accounts for 90% cells in CNS have been long neglected. Unlike the classical opioid-neuron stereoselective interaction opioids were found to non-stereose- lectively bind the accessory protein myeloid differentiation factor 2 (MD-2) of innate immune Toll- like receptor 4 (TLR4) , which induces glial activation and pro-inflammatory factors production, therefore contributing to opioid hyper-analgesia, drug tolerance, dependence and addiction. A series of TLR4 antagonists have been discovered by multiple drug discovery strategies for inhibiting the opioids' side effects and treating drug abuse, among which ( + )-naltrexone and T-5342126 have been transferred to Xalud and BioLineRx respectively, for further pre-clini- cal/clinical drug development.展开更多

文摘Using S-rough sets, this paper gives the concepts off-heredity knowledge and its heredity coefficient, and f-variation coefficient of knowledge; presents the theorem of f-attribute dependence of variation coefficient and the relation theorem of heredity-variation. The attribute dependence of f-variation coefficient and the relation of heredity-variation are important characteristics of S-rough sets. From such discussion, this paper puts forward the heredity mining off-knowledge and the algorithm of heredity mining, also gives its relative application.
文摘The compressive mechanical behavior of composite modified double base(CMDB)propellant was investigated across a wide scope of strain rates ranging from 10^(-3) s^(-1) to 4210 s^(-1) at room temperature,by applying a conventional universal testing machine and a split Hopkinson tension bar(SHPB),respectively.The derived stress-strain curves at different strain rates show a strong rate dependence,indicated that yield stress,ultimate stress and strain energy density of CMDB propellant all increase with strain rate by following a power law function,while the amplification of increase are different.The deformation and damage modes of CMDB propellant has changed from a typical ductile manner(cracking along the axial direction)to a brittle manner(maximum shear failure)with increasing of strain rate.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was employed to explore the microscopic failure characteristics of CMDB propellant.Under quasi-static loading,the nearly parallel micro-cracks propagating along the axial direction and the debonding of RDX particle without particle crushing can be observed.While under dynamic loading,the micro-crack is 45 angle to the axial direction,and multiple cracking modes of RDX particles appeared.Finally,the correlation between strain energy density and failure mechanisms of CMDB propellant was revealed by developing four characteristic failure modes.The findings of this study is very important to evaluate the structural integrity of CMDB propellant.

文摘Stochastic noises of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) mainly contain white noise and fractal noise whose long-term dependent component causes FOG a rather slow drift. In order to eliminate this component, a two-step filtering methodology is proposed. Firstly, fractional differencing (FD) method is introduced to trans-form fractal noise into fractional white noise based on the estima-tion of Hurst exponent for long-term dependent fractal process, which together with the existing white noise make up of a gener-alized white noise. Further, an improved denoising algorithm of wavelet maxima is developed to suppress the generalized white noise. Experimental results show that the basic noise terms of FOG greatly decrease, and especially the slow drift is restrained effectively. The proposed methodology provides a promising ap-proach for filtering long-term dependent fractal noise.

文摘An opportunistic maintenance model is presented for a continuously deteriorating series system with economical de-pendence. The system consists of two kinds of units, which are respectively subjected to the deterioration failure described by Gamma process and the random failure described by Poisson process. A two-level opportunistic policy defined by three decision parameters is proposed to coordinate the different maintenance actions and minimize the long-run maintenance cost rate of the system. A computable expression of the average cost rate is established by using the renewal property of the stochastic process of the maintained system state. The optimal values of three deci- sion parameters are derived by an iteration approach based on the characteristic of Gamma process. The behavior of the proposed policy is illustrated through a numerical experiment. Comparative study with the widely used corrective maintenance policy demonstrates the advantage of the proposed opportunistic maintenance method in significantly reducing the maintenance cost. Simultane- ously, the applicable area of this opportunistic model is discussed by the sensitivity analysis of the set-up cost and random failure rate.

文摘Fiber optical gyroscope(FOG)is a highly reliable navigation element,and the degradation trajectories of its two accuracy indexes are monotonic and non-monotonic respectively.In this paper,a flexible accelerated degradation testing(ADT)model is used for analyzing the bivariate dependent degradation process of FOG.The time-varying copulas are employed to consider the dynamic dependency structure between two marginal degradation processes as the Wiener process and the inverse Gaussian process.The statistical inference is implemented by utilizing an inference function for the margins(IFM)approach.It is demonstrated that the proposed method is powerful in modeling the joint distribution with various margins.

文摘Wall slip behavior of three commercial polymer melts polypropylene(iPP),low-density polyethylene(LDPE)(branched chains) and high-density polyethylene(HDPE)(linear chains) were studied by using a capillary rheometer with twin bores at different temperatures.The results show that a sudden first-stick-then-slip transition was observed for HDPE and a first-slip-then-stick transition was observed for LDPE and iPP as the shear rate sweep was done in an increased order,which shows that the chain structure has an obvious effect on the wall slip behavior of polymers.The critical shear stress for the onset of stick-slip transition increases linearly with temperature for HDPE,which accords with the disentanglement mechanism proposed by Brochard and de Gennes.While the extrapolation length used to quantify the magnitude of the transition remains about 0.05-0.09 mm for HDPE at 150-230 ℃.Also the relationship between the critical shear stress for the onset of wall slip and the molecular mass for polymer samples agrees with the disentanglement model of Brochard and de Gennes.The onset of slip-stick transition for LDPE and iPP at a critical shear stress may be interpreted as the shear thinning of the polymer chains at high shear rates,preventing further development of wall slip behavior.
文摘Opioids have been used for treated pain for thousands of years. Meanwhile, opioids induce drug addic- tion, which causes serious medical and social problems. Most opioids research have been concentrated on neurons in the central nerve system (CNS) , however, the action of glia, which accounts for 90% cells in CNS have been long neglected. Unlike the classical opioid-neuron stereoselective interaction opioids were found to non-stereose- lectively bind the accessory protein myeloid differentiation factor 2 (MD-2) of innate immune Toll- like receptor 4 (TLR4) , which induces glial activation and pro-inflammatory factors production, therefore contributing to opioid hyper-analgesia, drug tolerance, dependence and addiction. A series of TLR4 antagonists have been discovered by multiple drug discovery strategies for inhibiting the opioids' side effects and treating drug abuse, among which ( + )-naltrexone and T-5342126 have been transferred to Xalud and BioLineRx respectively, for further pre-clini- cal/clinical drug development.
