Research on Denoising Method of Agricultural Product Terahertz Spectroscopy Based on Adaptive Signal Decomposition

To address the issues of peak overlap caused by complex matrices in agricultural product terahertz(THz)spectral signals and the dynamic,nonlinear interference induced by environmental and system noise,this study explores the feasibility of adaptive-signal-decomposition-based denoising methods to improve THz spectral quality.THz time-domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS)combined with an attenuated total reflection(ATR)accessory was used to collect THz absorbance spectra from 48 peanut samples.Taking the quantitative prediction model of peanut moisture content based on THz-ATR as an example,wavelet transform(WT),empirical mode decomposition(EMD),local mean decomposition(LMD),and its improved methods-segmented local mean decomposition(SLMD)and piecewise mirror extension local mean decomposition(PME-LMD)-were employed for spectral denoising.The applicability of different denoising methods was evaluated using a support vector regression(SVR)model.Experimental results show that the peanut moisture content prediction model constructed after PME-LMD denoising achieved the best performance,with a root mean square error(RMSE),coefficient of determination(R^(2)),and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)of 0.010,0.912,and 0.040,respectively.Compared with traditional methods,PME-LMD significantly improved spectral quality and model prediction performance.The PME-LMD denoising strategy proposed in this study effectively suppresses non-uniform noise interference in THz spectral signals,providing an efficient and accurate preprocessing method for THz spectral analysis of agricultural products.This research provides theoretical support and technical guidance for the application of THz technology for detecting agricultural product quality. 展开更多

Robust microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S into H_(2) and S at low temperature over Mo_(2)C@CeO_(2) catalysts

The new technology of direct decomposition of H_(2)S into high value-added H_(2) and S,as an alternative to the Claus process in industry,is an ideal route that can not only deal with toxic and abundant H_(2)S waste gas but also recover clean energy H_(2),which has significant socio-economic and ecological advantages.However,the highly effective decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperatures is still a great challenge,because of the stringent thermodynamic equilibrium constraints(only 20% even at high temperature of 1010℃).Conventional microwave catalysts exhibit unsatisfactory performance at low temperatures(below 600℃).Herein,Mo_(2)C@CeO_(2) catalysts with a core-shell structure were successfully developed for robust microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperatures.Two carbon precursors,para-phenylenediamine(Mo_(2)C-p)and meta-phenylenediamine(Mo_(2)C-m),were employed to tailor Mo_(2)C configurations.Remarkably,the H_(2)S conversion of Mo_(2)C-p@CeO_(2) catalyst at a low temperature of 550℃ is as high as 92.1%,which is much higher than the H_(2)S equilibrium conversion under the conventional thermal conditions(2.6% at 550℃).To our knowledge,this represents the most active catalyst for microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperature of 550℃.Notably,Mo_(2)C-p demonstrated superior intrinsic activity(84%)compared to Mo_(2)C-m(6.4%),with XPS analysis revealing that its enhanced performance stems from a higher concentration of Mo_(2+)active sites.This work presents a substitute approach for the efficient utilization of H_(2)S waste gas and opens up a novel avenue for the rational design of microwave catalysts for microwave catalytic reaction at low-temperature. 展开更多

In order to analyze the influences of storage aging on the safety of typical elemental explosives,the aged cyclotrimethylene trinitramine(RDX)and cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine(HMX)were prepared by isothermal aging tests.The reaction thresholds of aged RDX and HMX under any ignition probability were studied by Langlie-Optimal D method.The thermal decomposition characteristics of RDX and HMX after aging were analyzed by DSC and ARC.Experimental results showed that compared with unaged RDX and HMX,on the one hand,the critical impact energy and critical friction of RDX and HMX aged for 14,28,and 56 days are significantly reduced at an explosion probability of 50%,0.01%,and 0.0001%,respectively.With the increase of aging time,the mechanical sensitivity of RDX and HMX increases obviously.On the other hand,the initial decomposition temperature of RDX and HMX after 56 days of aging decreases,the decomposition heat decreases,the activation energy increases,and the reaction difficulty increases. 展开更多

Range-azimuth imaging of ground targets via frequency-modulated continuous wave(FMCW)radar is crucial for effective target detection.However,when the pitch of the moving array constructed during motion exceeds the physical array aperture,azimuth ambiguity occurs,making range-azimuth imaging on a moving platform challenging.To address this issue,we theoretically analyze azimuth ambiguity generation in sparse motion arrays and propose a dual-aperture adaptive processing(DAAP)method for suppressing azimuth ambiguity.This method combines spatial multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)arrays with sparse motion arrays to achieve high-resolution range-azimuth imaging.In addition,an adaptive QR decomposition denoising method for sparse array signals based on iterative low-rank matrix approximation(LRMA)and regularized QR is proposed to preprocess sparse motion array signals.Simulations and experiments show that on a two-transmitter-four-receiver array,the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of the sparse motion array signal after noise suppression via adaptive QR decomposition can exceed 0 dB,and the azimuth ambiguity signal ratio(AASR)can be reduced to below-20 dB. 展开更多

Flammable ionic liquids exhibit high conductivity and a broad electrochemical window,enabling the generation of combustible gases for combustion via electrochemical decomposition and thermal decomposition.This characteristic holds significant implications in the realm of novel satellite propulsion.Introducing a fraction of the electrical energy into energetic ionic liquid fuels,the thermal decomposition process is facilitated by reducing the apparent activation energy required,and electrical energy can trigger the electrochemical decomposition of ionic liquids,presenting a promising approach to enhance combustion efficiency and energy release.This study applied an external voltage during the thermal decomposition of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazole nitrate([EMIm]NO_(3)),revealing the effective alteration of the activation energy of[EMIm]NO_(3).The pyrolysis,electrochemical decomposition,and electron assisted enhancement products were identified through Thermogravimetry-Differential scanning calorimetry-Fourier transform infrared-Mass spectrometry(TG-DSC-FTIR-MS)and gas chromatography(GC)analyses,elucidating the degradation mechanism of[EMIm]NO_(3).Furthermore,an external voltage was introduced during the combustion of[EMIm]NO_(3),demonstrating the impact of voltage on the combustion process. 展开更多

The precise characterization of hypersonic glide vehicle(HGV) maneuver laws in complex flight scenarios still faces challenges. Non-stationary changes in flight state due to abrupt changes in maneuver modes place high demands on the accuracy of modeling methods. To address this issue, a novel maneuver laws modeling and analysis method based on higher order multi-resolution dynamic mode decomposition(HMDMD) is proposed in this work. A joint time-space-frequency decomposition of the vehicle's state sequence in the complex flight scenario is achieved with the higher order Koopman assumption and standard multi-resolution dynamic mode decomposition, and an approximate dynamic model is established. The maneuver laws can be reconstructed and analyzed with extracted multi-scale spatiotemporal modes with clear physical meaning. Based on the dynamic model of HGV, two flight scenarios are established with constant angle of attack and complex maneuver laws, respectively. Simulation results demonstrate that the maneuver laws obtained using the HMDMD method are highly consistent with those derived from the real dynamic model, the modeling accuracy is better than other common modeling methods, and the method has strong interpretability. 展开更多

The reason to use ADN instead of AP in solid rocket propulsion is because of its harmless combustion products, along with its capacity to generate high specific impulse(Isp). ADN is fairly a new member in the solid oxidizer community and is considered under green energetic material(GEM). Application and feasible utilization of ADN as an oxidizer for composite solid propellants(CSP's) requires complete knowledge of its thermal decomposition processes along with its combustion behavior. A detailed overview on the physical and chemical properties, thermal decomposition, and combustion behavior of ADN and ADN based propellants has been discussed in this paper. This work describes thermal decomposition behaviour of plastic bonded explosives(PBXs) based on mixture of 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX) and 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-trinitrobenzene(TATB)with Viton A as polymer binder. Thermal decomposition of PBXs was undertaken by applying simultaneous thermal analysis(STA) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) to investigate influence of the HMX amount on thermal behavior and its kinetics. Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) indicated that the thermal decomposition of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was occurred in a three-steps. The first step was mainly due to decomposition of HMX. The second step was ascribed due to decomposition of TATB, while the third step was occurred due to decomposition of the polymer matrices. The thermal decomposition % was increased with increasing HMX amount. The kinetics related to thermal decomposition were investigated under non-isothermal for a single heating rate measurement. The variation in the activation energy of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was observed with varying the HMX amount. The kinetics from the results of TGA data at various heating rates under non-isothermal conditions were also calculated by Flynn—Wall—Ozawa(FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose(KAS)methods. The activation energies calculated by employing FWO method were very close to those obtained by KAS method. The mean activation energy calculated by FWO and KAS methods was also a good agreement with the activation energy obtained from single heating rate measurement in the first step decomposition. 展开更多

Rotating machinery is widely used in the industry.They are vulnerable to many kinds of damages especially for those working under tough and time-varying operation conditions.Early detection of these damages is important,otherwise,they may lead to large economic loss even a catastrophe.Many signal processing methods have been developed for fault diagnosis of the rotating machinery.Local mean decomposition(LMD)is an adaptive mode decomposition method that can decompose a complicated signal into a series of mono-components,namely product functions(PFs).In recent years,many researchers have adopted LMD in fault detection and diagnosis of rotating machines.We give a comprehensive review of LMD in fault detection and diagnosis of rotating machines.First,the LMD is described.The advantages,disadvantages and some improved LMD methods are presented.Then,a comprehensive review on applications of LMD in fault diagnosis of the rotating machinery is given.The review is divided into four parts:fault diagnosis of gears,fault diagnosis of rotors,fault diagnosis of bearings,and other LMD applications.In each of these four parts,a review is given to applications applying the LMD,improved LMD,and LMD-based combination methods,respectively.We give a summary of this review and some future potential topics at the end. 展开更多

The kinetics of the thermal decomposition for a naturally ageing ammonium perchlorate(AP) and hydroxyl-terminated-polybutadiene(HTPB) base bleed composite propellant were investigated using a differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The naturally ageing AP/HTPB base bleed propellant samples have been stored in a sealed plastic bag at room temperature(5-25 ℃) for more than 20 years. The experimental DSC results were obtained by placing samples(each about 1.5 mg) in a sealed pan under non-isothermal condition under different heating rates, 5.0, 10.0, 15.0, 20.0 and 30.0 ℃·min^(-1). The activation energy and pre-exponential factor were estimated based on the relationship between the exothermic peak temperature and the heating rate by Ozawa and Kissinger methods, respectively. The decomposition kinetic parameters is lower the values under laboratorial aging condition. 展开更多

The mechanism of thermal decomposition of each composition have also been determined by NETZSCH simultaneous thermal analyser, comprising differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) and thermo-gravimetric analyser(TGA). A novel approach was proposed to classify network applications by optimized back-propagation (BP) neural network. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was used to optimize the BP neural network. And in order to increase the identification performance, wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) was used to extract several hidden features from the time-frequency information of network traffic. The experimental results show that the average classification accuracy of various network applications can reach 97%. Moreover, this approach optimized by BP neural network takes 50% of the training time compared with the traditional neural network. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem of gliding near space hypersonic vehicle(NSHV)trajectory prediction,a trajectory prediction method based on aerodynamic acceleration empirical mode decomposition(EMD)is proposed.The method analyzes the motion characteristics of the skipping gliding NSHV and verifies that the aerodynamic acceleration of the target has a relatively stable rule.On this basis,EMD is used to extract the trend of aerodynamic acceleration into multiple sub-items,and aggregate sub-items with similar attributes.Then,a prior basis function is set according to the aerodynamic acceleration stability rule,and the aggregated data are fitted by the basis function to predict its future state.After that,the prediction data of the aerodynamic acceleration are used to drive the system to predict the target trajectory.Finally,experiments verify the effectiveness of the method.In addition,the distribution of prediction errors in space is discussed,and the reasons are analyzed. 展开更多

Underwater acoustic signal processing is one of the research hotspots in underwater acoustics.Noise reduction of underwater acoustic signals is the key to underwater acoustic signal processing.Owing to the complexity of marine environment and the particularity of underwater acoustic channel,noise reduction of underwater acoustic signals has always been a difficult challenge in the field of underwater acoustic signal processing.In order to solve the dilemma,we proposed a novel noise reduction technique for underwater acoustic signals based on complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise(CEEMDAN),minimum mean square variance criterion(MMSVC) and least mean square adaptive filter(LMSAF).This noise reduction technique,named CEEMDAN-MMSVC-LMSAF,has three main advantages:(i) as an improved algorithm of empirical mode decomposition(EMD) and ensemble EMD(EEMD),CEEMDAN can better suppress mode mixing,and can avoid selecting the number of decomposition in variational mode decomposition(VMD);(ii) MMSVC can identify noisy intrinsic mode function(IMF),and can avoid selecting thresholds of different permutation entropies;(iii) for noise reduction of noisy IMFs,LMSAF overcomes the selection of deco mposition number and basis function for wavelet noise reduction.Firstly,CEEMDAN decomposes the original signal into IMFs,which can be divided into noisy IMFs and real IMFs.Then,MMSVC and LMSAF are used to detect identify noisy IMFs and remove noise components from noisy IMFs.Finally,both denoised noisy IMFs and real IMFs are reconstructed and the final denoised signal is obtained.Compared with other noise reduction techniques,the validity of CEEMDAN-MMSVC-LMSAF can be proved by the analysis of simulation signals and real underwater acoustic signals,which has the better noise reduction effect and has practical application value.CEEMDAN-MMSVC-LMSAF also provides a reliable basis for the detection,feature extraction,classification and recognition of underwater acoustic signals. 展开更多

The catalysts prepared by hydrothermal method showed higher activity. Among the hydrothermal Nd-Co 3O 4 catalysts, the catalyst with Nd/Co molar ratio of 0.01 had higher activity. 0.01Nd-Co 3O 4 catalyst was then impregnated by K 2CO 3 solution to prepare K-modified catalyst. The catalysts were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen physisorption, scanning electrons microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction (H 2-TPR), and oxygen temperature-programmed desorption (O 2-TPD). The results show that Nd-Co 3O 4 and K-modified catalysts exhibit spinel structure. In contrast to bare Nd-Co 3O 4, the K-modified catalyst with higher activity is due to its weaker strength of Co-O bond and easier desorption of surface oxygen species. In addition, over 90% conversion of N 2O can be reached over 0.02K/0.01Nd-Co 3O 4 at 350 ℃ for 40 h under the co-presence of oxygen and steam in feed gases. 展开更多
