The ammunition loading system manipulator is susceptible to gear failure due to high-frequency,heavyload reciprocating motions and the absence of protective gear components.After a fault occurs,the distribution of fault characteristics under different loads is markedly inconsistent,and data is hard to label,which makes it difficult for the traditional diagnosis method based on single-condition training to generalize to different conditions.To address these issues,the paper proposes a novel transfer discriminant neural network(TDNN)for gear fault diagnosis.Specifically,an optimized joint distribution adaptive mechanism(OJDA)is designed to solve the distribution alignment problem between two domains.To improve the classification effect within the domain and the feature recognition capability for a few labeled data,metric learning is introduced to distinguish features from different fault categories.In addition,TDNN adopts a new pseudo-label training strategy to achieve label replacement by comparing the maximum probability of the pseudo-label with the test result.The proposed TDNN is verified in the experimental data set of the artillery manipulator device,and the diagnosis can achieve 99.5%,significantly outperforming other traditional adaptation methods. 展开更多

The open-circuit fault is one of the most common faults of the automatic ramming drive system(ARDS),and it can be categorized into the open-phase faults of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM)and the open-circuit faults of Voltage Source Inverter(VSI). The stator current serves as a common indicator for detecting open-circuit faults. Due to the identical changes of the stator current between the open-phase faults in the PMSM and failures of double switches within the same leg of the VSI, this paper utilizes the zero-sequence voltage component as an additional diagnostic criterion to differentiate them.Considering the variable conditions and substantial noise of the ARDS, a novel Multi-resolution Network(Mr Net) is proposed, which can extract multi-resolution perceptual information and enhance robustness to the noise. Meanwhile, a feature weighted layer is introduced to allocate higher weights to characteristics situated near the feature frequency. Both simulation and experiment results validate that the proposed fault diagnosis method can diagnose 25 types of open-circuit faults and achieve more than98.28% diagnostic accuracy. In addition, the experiment results also demonstrate that Mr Net has the capability of diagnosing the fault types accurately under the interference of noise signals(Laplace noise and Gaussian noise). 展开更多

To maintain the stability of the inter-satellite link for gravitational wave detection,an intelligent learning monitoring and fast warning method of the inter-satellite link control system failure is proposed.Different from the traditional fault diagnosis optimization algorithms,the fault intelligent learning method pro-posed in this paper is able to quickly identify the faults of inter-satellite link control system despite the existence of strong cou-pling nonlinearity.By constructing a two-layer learning network,the method enables efficient joint diagnosis of fault areas and fault parameters.The simulation results show that the average identification time of the system fault area and fault parameters is 0.27 s,and the fault diagnosis efficiency is improved by 99.8%compared with the traditional algorithm. 展开更多

In the aircraft control system,sensor networks are used to sample the attitude and environmental data.As a result of the external and internal factors(e.g.,environmental and task complexity,inaccurate sensing and complex structure),the aircraft control system contains several uncertainties,such as imprecision,incompleteness,redundancy and randomness.The information fusion technology is usually used to solve the uncertainty issue,thus improving the sampled data reliability,which can further effectively increase the performance of the fault diagnosis decision-making in the aircraft control system.In this work,we first analyze the uncertainties in the aircraft control system,and also compare different uncertainty quantitative methods.Since the information fusion can eliminate the effects of the uncertainties,it is widely used in the fault diagnosis.Thus,this paper summarizes the recent work in this aera.Furthermore,we analyze the application of information fusion methods in the fault diagnosis of the aircraft control system.Finally,this work identifies existing problems in the use of information fusion for diagnosis and outlines future trends. 展开更多

Parameter evaluation of circuit features is realized by training results from neural network; the superior nonlinear mapping capability is competent for extracting fault features which are normalized and compressed subsequently. The complex classification problem on fault pattern recognition in analog circuit is transferred into feature processing stage by feature extraction based on neural network effectively, which improves the diagnosis efficiency. For the fault detection and diagnosis problem in largescale industrial systems, there are two important issues: the missing data samples and the non-Gaussian property of the data. However, most of the existing data-driven methods cannot be able to handle both of them. Thus, a new Bayesian network classifier based fault detection and diagnosis method is proposed. At first, a non-imputation method is presented to handle the data incomplete samples, with the property of the proposed Bayesian network classifier, and the missing values can be marginalized in an elegant manner. Furthermore, the Gaussian mixture model is used to approximate the non-Gaussian data with a linear combination of finite Gaussian mixtures, so that the Bayesian network can process the non-Gaussian data in an effective way. Therefore, the entire fault detection and diagnosis method can deal with the high-dimensional incomplete process samples in an efficient and robust way. The diagnosis results are expressed in the manner of probability with the reliability scores. The proposed approach is evaluated with a benchmark problem called the Tennessee Eastman process. The simulation results show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method in fault detection and diagnosis for large-scale systems with missing measurements. 展开更多

The scheme is developed based on a suitable combination of the adaptive multiple model (AMM) and unknown input observer (UIO). The main idea of the proposed scheme stems from the fact that the actuator Lock-in-Place fault is unknown (when and where the actuator gets locked are unknown), and multiple models are used to describe different fault scenarios, then a bank of unknown input observers are designed to implement the disturbance de-coupling. According to Lyapunov theory, proof of the robustness of the newly developed scheme in the presence of faults and disturbances is derived. Numerical simulation results on an aircraft example show satisfactory performance of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

The diagnosabilities of exchanged hypercubes are studied by using the pessimistic one-step diagno- sis strategy under two kinds of diagnosis models: the PMC model and the MM model. Howerver , the assumption is not always the case because the information about whether a component is faulty or not usually influences our knowledge about other components. Some experts may draw such a conclusion that 'if component m 1 is faulty, then component m 2 may be faulty too'. How can we use this experts' knowledge to aid the diagnosis? Based on Kohlas's probabilistic assumption-based reasoning method, we use Bayes networks to solve this problem. We calculate the posterior fault probability of the components in the observation state. The result is reasonable and reflects the effectiveness of the experts' knowledge. 展开更多

A robust fault diagnosis approach is developed by incorporating a set-membership identification (SMI) method. A class of systems with linear models in the form of fault related parameters is investigated, with model uncertainties and parameter variations taken into account explicitly and treated as bounded errors. An ellipsoid bounding set-membership identification algorithm is proposed to propagate bounded uncertainties rigorously and the guaranteed feasible set of faults parameters enveloping true parameter values is given. Faults arised from abrupt parameter variations can be detected and isolated on-line by consistency check between predicted and observed parameter sets obtained in the identification procedure. The proposed approach provides the improved robustness with its ability to distinguish real faults from model uncertainties, which comes with the inherent guaranteed robustness of the set-membership framework. Efforts are also made in this work to balance between conservativeness and computation complexity of the overall algorithm. Simulation results for the mobile robot with several slipping faults scenarios demonstrate the correctness of the proposed approach for faults detection and isolation (FDI). 展开更多

Faults of inverter are usually caused by switch elements’ operating fault. Taking the inverter with hysteresis current control as the research object, a universal open-circuit fault location method which can be applied to multiple control strategies is proposed in the paper. If the switch open-circuit fault happens in inverter, the output phase current will inevitably change, which can be used as a characteristic for diagnosis, combined with the comparison of phase-current direction before and after the fault occurrence, to diagnose and locate the open-circuit fault in a half cycle. Moreover, this method requires neither system control signals nor sensor. The validity, reliability and limitation of the fault location method in the paper are verified and analyzed through dSPACE-based experiment platform. 展开更多
